- While the overall experience was fantastic, my only concern was the billing model. In Turkey, we typically work on a fixed cost model, while SteelKiwi charged on an hourly basis. A fixed cost model would have been more suitable for us, but beyond that, everything else was excellent.
- There were no significant issues with our collaboration. The team’s responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to our evolving needs made for a seamless experience.

As CEO, I am committed to driving Globaldev's growth and maintaining our reputation for excellence. My role involves establishing and communicating the company's vision, mission, and long-term strategic goals. I oversee overall company performance, with a keen focus on client feedback and satisfaction. To this end, I conduct in-person meetings with our clients from time to time to gauge if we're meeting and exceeding their expectations. This hands-on approach allows us to stay agile, responsive, and aligned with our clients' needs.
What inspired the founding of your company, and what is the story behind its inception?
My inspiration was to dramatically improve our companies ability to build their products by leveraging the vast global pool of Software engineers and allow companies to scale quickly and manage cost effectively.

At Globaldev, our core values of care, support, and honesty form the foundation of our company culture. These principles guide our interactions with both our employees and clients, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Since its founding, Globaldev has strategically acquired four companies, significantly expanding our reach, expertise, and portfolio. Our acquisitions include Skywell in 2021, Steelkiwi in 2022, Worknest in 2023, and most recently, Preezma in 2024. These integrations have bolstered our capabilities and reinforced our position as a dynamic force in the software development industry.
Our growth has earned us recognition in the industry. In March 2024, Clutch, a respected B2B review platform, named Globaldev one of the fastest-growing companies. We ranked 30th on the Clutch 100 list, thanks to our impressive 104% revenue growth from 2022 to 2023.

We've implemented a comprehensive approach to support continuous learning and skill enhancement of our employees. Our mentorship program allows employees to engage in one-on-one sessions with department experts, fostering personalized skill development. We provide access to a corporate Udemy account, giving team members the flexibility to choose courses aligned with their individual goals.
We've established department-specific communities for knowledge-sharing and collaborative problem-solving. We actively encourage innovation, as seen in our recent AI-powered chatbot project. We also develop in-house training programs, such as our recent course on data analytics and business intelligence for beginners.
Could you share a notable success story or case study that exemplifies the impact your company has had on a client's business?
One of the standout projects we’ve worked on was with ECIT Norge, a Nordic company that provides financial and IT services across Scandinavia. ECIT had just acquired a business expense tracking app called Travis, but the app had a lot of functionality issues. They knew the value of this kind of app for midsize and large businesses, but it needed a complete overhaul to reach its potential.
ECIT asked us to rebuild the Travis app from the ground up using Flutter. At the same time, they were facing another issue – one of their payroll systems, Intect, was losing customers to competitors that offered a combined expense and payroll management solution. ECIT saw an opportunity to create a more integrated approach, and they needed our help to make it happen.
We completely redesigned the Travis app with a modular, white-label solution. This allowed ECIT to customize the app for different markets and clients, whether they were using ECIT’s payroll systems (Intect and NettLønn) or even third-party software. Employees could now easily manage everything from uploading receipts to creating and submitting expense reports, while admins could track and manage expenses across the company.
With the revamped Travis app, ECIT was able to offer an all-in-one expense and payroll management solution, which helped them retain clients and expand their offerings. The new app played a crucial role in helping them meet their market demands and grow their business.
This project really showed how we can work with clients to create tailored solutions that solve immediate problems while also setting them up for future success.
What industries do you primarily cater to, and do you have a significant percentage of repeat clients? If so, what is the ratio of repeat clients?
Our company caters to a diverse range of industries, with our strongest presence in three key sectors: financial and fintech, pharmaceutical and healthcare, and energy and utilities.
While we serve clients across nearly 10 different industries, these three sectors currently represent the majority of our client base.
Regarding repeat clients, we pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our customers. On average, our clients engage with us for over three years, which demonstrates a high level of client retention and satisfaction. This long-term cooperation makes it challenging to provide a traditional "repeat client" ratio.
However, a strong indicator of our client satisfaction and service quality is our referral rate. Over 80% of our new clients come to us through referrals from past and current clients. This high referral rate suggests that our existing clients not only continue to work with us but also actively recommend our services to others in their network.

We invest significantly in developing expertise in AI and ML technologies, recognizing these as key drivers of future innovation across industries. Additionally, we focus heavily on expanding our capabilities in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence to provide cutting-edge solutions to our clients.

The time and materials pricing model is used for most clients. Under this system, clients pay regularly for work completed, based on the actual time spent on development. This model offers flexibility in project requirements, transparent hourly rates, and high-quality results due to multiple review cycles. Clients can easily monitor progress through regular reports.
For team extension services, Globaldev often uses the outstaffing pricing model. This can involve either hourly rates or a fixed price arrangement similar to a regular salary. The outstaffing model helps clients reduce costs, access a wider pool of talent, and potentially launch projects faster.
