Education

Sealed Air are a $7.7 billion diversified industrial company operating from over 200 locations worldwide. Our work with Sealed Air Group provides accessible, informative and flexible methods of corporate education using augmented reality product recognition to engage with users in a visual and interactive way.
We were approached by the Sealed Air Innovations Team to over come the challenge of “How do you reduce the cost of supporting products which are found in chains such as McDonalds, Hilton and IKEA but increase effectiveness?”

Our solution was to create a flexible training platform that allowed users to learn in a direct and user friendly way, supplied on a platform easily accessible to the masses. Easy, right?… Wrong. We faced some challenging obstacles whilst trying to create the perfect training solution due to the fact that the needs of the users were vastly different depending on global location, language abilities and accessibility to reliable internet.

However, that didn’t stop us from creating an award winning smart device application for Sealed Air Group. We created a platform that recognised the company’s products, displayed and integrated all training methods visually and interactively and that maintained personal training records. Plus, we also integrated a troubleshooting section which links to unique online support systems to help solve regional issues.

Information Technology

Delivering positive psychology tools to children through a mobile app using immersive Augmented Reality technology.

The Coggi platform consists of simple and fun exercises grounded in the science of Positive Psychology.

The innovative, user-centred design contains an Augmented Reality chameleon as the main character (Coggi). The name Coggi came from shortening ‘cognition’ into a child-friendly, memorable name.

Vision
The vision of Coggi Technologies is to engage a digitally native generation of children through technology to promote their own psychological well-being and to prevent mental health problems from occurring or escalating.

Why?

50% of all mental health conditions start by 14 years of age and most cases are undetected and untreated
Globally depression is one of the leading causes of illness and disability among adolescents
Mental health conditions account for 16% of the global burden of disease and injury in people aged 10-19 years
Leaving adolescent mental health conditions unaddressed has life-long consequences, impairs both physical and future mental health and limits opportunities to lead fulfilling lives
Promoting psychological well-being skills during adolescence creates the building blocks for young people to thrive as adults

Information Technology

It is now easier than ever to create an interactive tour online.

Users can explore locations and interact to learn more about specific points or move to new areas and look around and explore. With our high resolution 360 PRO cameras, we can shoot photos or video in glorious 8K and add CGI content to each of the scenes. For locations that are difficult to get to or imaginary, we are create all of the content with 3D modelling and render to “real” quality levels on our servers. When users interact, we can include animations, avatars, video, web pages or sounds to make the experience more interesting and engaging. Everything is mouse based but if you use a phone/pad, the 360 can be based on your motion and movement.

Introducing Synthetic Dataset Generation to the Healthcare Industry using Unity Computer Vision and Perception Packages.
Introducing the latest innovation for healthcare: our powerful application designed to revolutionise the healthcare industry. Using Unity Computer Vision, we’ve developed an app that empowers our client to generate a vast array of images of their at-home finger-prick blood test kits.

We worked closely with our client and understand the importance of timely and precise responses in patient care, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy. That’s why our app harnesses the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and image recognition software, enabling healthcare providers to train their systems quickly and effectively.

How Does it Work?
Unity’s Perception package is designed to enhance supervised Machine Learning (ML) pipelines by providing new ways to generate a large quantity of labelled synthetic datasets using Unity Simulation.

We’ve incorporated these features into our application, and provided some user friendly controls for customising how these synthetic datasets are created, giving users control over lighting, scene clutter, quantity, and test kit specific settings.

All of this combined creates a powerful tool allowing users to generate a variety of custom datasets which can be used to train their AI image recognition tools with accurate life-like data without needing to manually construct and label thousands of images. Our client can now generate thousands of labelled synthetic datasets in minutes rather than weeks, leading to huge savings in both time and cost to train their AI model.

Tools like this are incredibly useful and powerful for training AI as they reduce the necessity to gather and label thousands of real-world images. Real-world images are of course desired in AI training (if not essential for a successful model), but Unity have shown that a model trained on both real-world and synthetic datasets increases accuracy:

“Mean Average Precision averaged across IoU thresholds of  [0.5:0.95] (mAP), Mean Average Precision with a single IoU threshold of 0.5 (mAPIoU=0.5), and the Mean Average Recall with a maximum of 100 detections (mAR) measured on a held-out set of 254 real-world images.”

Outcome
With just a few clicks, our client can now generate a large volume of datasets, each meticulously tagged and categorised to facilitate the training of their AI model. This streamlined process ensures that our partners have access to the most up-to-date and accurate data, ultimately leading to faster and more accurate responses for patients.

The software speeds up the process of both generative AI learning modelling and also validation and verification of existing algorithms and image analysis.

Automotive

Using the power of WebXR to display customised EV charge points, driving sales and consumer satisfaction.
Andersen EV, are an innovative UK-based company that designs and manufactures premium electric vehicle (EV) charging points. Known for their sleek, stylish, and high-quality designs, Andersen EV chargers are often characterised by their aesthetic appeal, customizable options, and integration with smart technology.

As a follow-up to the successful A2 project we worked on with Andersen EV, we were fortunate enough to work on the WebXR implementation of their A3 charger to their website. The technology is eye-catching and effective in boosting sales by allowing customers to visualise and customise their charger not only in the browser, but also in Augmented Reality (AR) when on a mobile device. Furthermore, they are even able to take a photo to save or share later. All of this is achievable without ever needing to install an app!

Here at Harmony, we are finding that we are delivering more and more projects based on the WebXR technology stack for our clients. How about giving it a try with the Andersen A3 below, or why not visit Andersen EV themselves at Andersen EV A3 Charge Point

Why WebXR?
Using the power of WebXR technology, customers can view a 3D model of the Andersen A2 and A3 charge points, allowing them a real-time visual for over 240 different colour combinations. The power of WebXR gives users the ability to rotate a live 3D representation of the charging unit all from within their web browser; regardless of the platform they’re using. They can then customise their colours, separately selecting body and facia colours. Once happy they can then view this in AR and place it on their chosen wall to see what it will look like. They can even take a photo and share it or save it for later.

Delivery
Using CAD files supplied by Andersen, Harmony’s 3D team optimised the models and created textures for utilisation in the 3D world. The variations were then setup allowing for over 240 various combinations for customers to choose from. Harmony’s web team then created a full working example in the browser, ready for implementation into the Andersen EV website. Whilst working on the A3, we also gave a face lift to the A2, implementing the new range of colours that are now available.
