Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Indeema Software Inc. We have deep expertise in the Internet of Things technology, which allows us to provide consulting services for startups and Fortune 500 companies. Our team consists of skilled and certified professionals who have obtained Masters or Ph.D. degrees. The range of products we develop is quite wide, ranging from solutions for the energy sector and industrial equipment diagnostics to smart systems for homes or cities. Among our main services are web and mobile development for IoT products, cloud infrastructure design and development, embedded and firmware.
What is the story behind starting this company?
We established Indeema in 2014, realizing that we had the tech expertise that the modern world needed. The digitalization of businesses and corporations was just getting started, and we were among those who could offer assistance by providing technical consulting. A while ago, in 2009, we also founded the PLLUG Community, where we gathered like-minded people who shared their knowledge with youth. This organization has assisted many students in mastering programming and realizing their technical potential.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
When a client needs an experienced team to design and implement the solution, we work under an outsourced project model. In this regard, our team assists at every stage of the development process to bring the client’s idea to life. Some customers require additional developer capacity, on the other hand. For example, if they already have a project manager but require a development team, we will provide them with a dedicated team. So, we do both depending on the client’s needs.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
Our clients choose us because we help them turn their concept into a completely viable solution (from idea to release and support). Since we assist our clients with every step of the development process, we have an advantage. Starting with R&D and Specification services, we do research to see how much of the concept can be implemented, document the project's concept and all requirements, identify and select tech stack, and so on. Then, we create clickable wireframes and provide design&development and post support services. Generally, customers require a team to handle ALL technical issues.
At Indeema, we design a project architecture that will scale in the future. It also requires a high-precision and scientific approach, which is why we quite often work with universities and scientists.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We work with clients from a wide range of industries, as IoT projects can be used in almost any industry. So we don't have any specific criteria for selecting clients by industry; however, our current areas of expertise include manufacturing, healthcare, entertainment, and oil and gas industry, among others. Since we provide support services, the majority of our clients continue to work with us after the release. As a result, we've been working with some of them for over five years.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Clients most often approach us for R&D and Specification and subsequent product ideas, which may include documentation, Proof of concept, MVP, and subsequent product release. Customers with an established brand or product, on the other hand, need additional capacity to augment their team with overseas talent in order to accelerate the development of their product. We offer web, mobile, and embedded development as well as UX / UI design, QA, and Project Management services. We can really do it all.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
To ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, we have established a smooth process and now we have 9/10 on all available review platforms.
At Indeema, we put a heavy emphasis on communication with our customers ensuring they are always involved in all stages of product development, thus avoiding any misunderstandings and conflicts. Therefore, we design wireframes, for example, so that one party can clearly communicate its opinions to another at an early stage of the project, ensuring that everyone is on the same page. Aside from that, we always provide our input based on our technical experience, assisting the customer in improving their product as it is being developed.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Our expertise allows us to support systems already in production and developed by other vendors. The scope of software support services depends on customer needs. That's why, first and foremost, we'll identify what kind of support you require: backend/frontend, system/hardware, or all-in-one. Then we'll determine the number of hours and response time, as well as whether we'll work during non-office hours.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
The two most popular modes of cooperation with clients are time & material and fixed-price. Pre-payment and payment timelines are agreed upon with each client individually. However, we take a customer-specific approach and in this respect, we are very flexible.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We don't have a minimum requirement budget, to be honest. There have been cases when a customer came to us with a limited budget and needed only PoC development, but the project flourished and required the development of a full-fledged product. We do not, therefore, focus on the budget; the idea itself, as well as the possibility of implementing it, are more important to us.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
The price range of the projects in 2020 is between $15 000 and $450 000.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We foresee our company having a larger technology stack in the near future, as we have a lot of ideas on how to use AI and IoT technologies together. Without a doubt, IoT and AI can be used to create new or improve existing products and services by allowing businesses to rapidly process and analyze data.
