What inspired the founding of your company, and what is the story behind its inception?
It all started back in 1999 coinciding with Y2K hysteria. Inorbital began by solving the need for more complex solutions rather than brochureware which was popular early in the digital space. Back in 1999 web presence was literally flashy with little substance. Inorbital focused on substance first, or what became a common saying “content first”.
This substance-first approach instilled the need for innovation as tools and solutions did not match the needs and requirements at the time.
So, our need for robust content management was delivered early on as clients demanded solutions that not only looked great but functioned great with marketers having complete control. We gravitated towards Microsoft technology since day one and added WordPress along the way for a greater variety of options for our clients.
What are the core values and principles that drive your company's culture, and how do you ensure alignment with these values across your team?
"Always be professional...while delivering well thought-out solutions"
1. Show our passion and energy by working hard to meet deadlines and over-delivering.
2. Constantly learning and improving so we can be better at solving our clients’ digital problems.
3. Always focused by truly thinking through the best solution when there are often many paths.
Meeting deadlines and presenting solutions rather than problems is what our customers expect from a studio of our stature.
