iPrismTechnologies as company is consistently serving global clients for web & mobile app development services. For all possible technology platforms, we have qualified resources to work with. We deliver effective and successful solutions to various businesses. Right from start-ups to large enterprises, we are having different IT solutions for different industries.

As the CEO of the iPrism Technologies, I am responsible for various decision making roles, like strategic planning and direction setting for the whole team. Along with it, I lead iPrism Technologies sales department and have direct interaction with our valuable clients in all phases.

What was the idea behind starting this organization?

iPrism Technologies was founded 5 years back. I was very much passionate and very keen about new technologies in mobile app development. As the trend of business was changingit is important for any business organization to have a mobile application and a website. That’s when I decided to start my own company and I am proud of developing& delivering more than 100 projects.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We are a team of 100+ tech experts adapt at some skills and technologies. our in-house team works parallel with offshore project managers located at the client’s location to ensure excellent delivery and seamless implementation of the product.

How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?

We have got a dexterous in house team which works proficiently in iterative delivery where we build some amount of work and share it with our clients for review. Our teams focus on perfection, speed, and agility to build custom made solutions for web and mobile. We schedule multiple meetings with clients in order to figure out the project plan, product roadmap, daily scrum. Our direct communication makes it easy to approach the development process effectively.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

We offer applications in almost every industry. Most of the projects that we have worked on are from Health and Fitness, Life Style, Travel, Entertainment, Personal Care, Social Networking and Education Industry.

Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.

For any mobile app development we need to have designs and detailed functional description document, through this we can make and accurate estimation for development. We even take in account the complexity of the project and the client’s budget.While analysing each and every request of client we follow flexible business practices.

How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?

With mobile applications, there isn’t always a distinct difference between the front-end and back-end components, particularly since we tend to work in React Native or other cross-platform development frameworks. That said, if we are building in secure integrations or heavy data handling components, we often build a React Native mobile app, and power it with a Django/Python back-end on top of a MySQL or PostgreSQL database. The time spent is about 75% on the user interface (UI) and about 25% on the database and back-end. Again, thinking in terms of an MVP or version 1.0, one can expect to allot about 40 - 80 hours of discovery and design time and 300 - 600 hours of development time for the overall application.

What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?

For any kind of project we have developers and who have diverse technical background. Based on the requirement of the project we use the technology for the development. We usually follow the latest trend of the technologies. React, Angular and Vue for front-end, Node.js and PHP frameworks (such as Laravel and Symphony) for back-end, Native, Hybrid and Flutter for mobile development.

Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?

Choosing the right platform for mobile application depends on the kind of solution you aim to build based on time and budget. The decision is mainly based on the requirements of the client for instance, if they wish to target Asian market, we suggest them to go for Android development as it is more popular. On the other hand, if they need to capture the affluent segment, iOS can be their go-to source. Hybrid, Native, and cross-platform come with their own set of pros and cons. It’s hard to favour one as each shines gloriously when used with the right vision and result-oriented strategy.

Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?

According to the past research and application development practices carried out, The best platform to develop mobile applications is Native Android and iOS Development. Hybrid applications are developed mostly with low investment or when the app is to be developed in a short time. But, technologies today have developed an environment that runs applications both in the Native Android and IOS platform with high performance. But Native Application is the best platform to use.

What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?

To decide the cost of a mobile application, we consider few features which include:

Different types of user accounts and access offered.
Whether it can be used with/ without a data connection.
Device features accessed: Geolocation, biometric, voice access, camera etc.
Whether integrations with existing systems and APIs are needed.
Different screen layouts used.
If payment method is used.
Whether the app needs to be used on Mobile phones, tablets and web

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

We follow Pay per Milestone for most of the projects. We do also bill Pay per Feature and Fixed Cost a few times. We prefer Pay per Milestone in phases according to the development process.We follow Pay per Milestone payment structure with regards to billing invoices for our clients. The price is divided as per the modules, which is further tested by the quality assurance team as quality matters us the most. We do bill Pay per Feature and Fixed Cost a few times though Pay per Milestone is given top preference.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

Yes, We do take projects. We work on a minimum budget requirement of $5000. Mobile applications are generally expensive to build. iOS application is the most expensive followed by Android and Hybrid Mobile Applications. The least costly mobile applications are Hybrid mobile apps as they usually take less time to be developed and widely used with trending technologies like React Native.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?

The minimum price range of the projects in 2018 is $4000 and maximum price range is $70000.

Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?

There are various factors considered for generating revenue through mobile apps. The business model suggested for the client depends upon the business domain the client is working in. We suggest with referring and earn for business having fewer users. In-app adds display, In-app purchases leads towards generating revenue for mobile applications.
