Guardair was looking for a simple but effective solution to their e-Commerce needs. With the assistance of our magnificent design partner, Tunnel 7, we created not one, not two, but three new Shopify websites for them! See for yourself:

WHAT DID WE DO?

The new websites offer a significant improvement in experience for both their internal team and their customer base. The new design is sleek. Guardair’s site allows prospective customers to find exactly what they need and place their order with minimal clicks. How you ask? A complete overhaul of Shopify’s default filtering logic. We’re leveraging the Power Tools Suite‘s “Filter Menu” app to improve Guardair’s ability to categorize and showcase their products.

But do not let the site’s ease of use fool you. On the back-end, Guardair has a powerful platform to achieve their business’ marketing and shipping goals. Dimensional shipping, store locator, live chat. We’re doing it all here. The site even extends Shopify’s basic content creation abilities by leveraging the Shogun Page Builder; an app that allows their team to build page’s with drag and drop functionality.

We’re also using the powerful Metafields Manager tool to extend Shopify’s basic abilities. A product catalog this rich could not get away without it.

SHOPIFY PLUS

On top of all that, Guardair also made the decision to upgrade to Shopify Plus. Clients who upgrade to Shopify Plus area allowed much more flexibility with their store. Advanced apps, wholesale functionality, customizable checkout, and additional API calls are just a few of the perks of Shopify Plus. You’re also given a dedicated Shopify Launch Engineer who always ends up coming in handy throughout the process.

THE GOAL

When the good folks at SmartLabs came to us they had a couple of simple goals in mind: to have a nice new website to showcase their business, and to do it fast. This is a common goal for prospective clients and it elicits a common concern. How do you make something quickly without it being low quality? For these projects we use our tried and true website planning methods.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WEBSITE PLANNING

We make the effort to listen to our clients and help them to understand the bigger picture of what they’re trying to achieve. Once we do that we parse what we’ve learned into short term and long term goals. Then we break the goals out into phases.

SmartLabs needed a basic website which their team can use to get the ball rolling. We determined that the goal of phase one should be to build a simple, static brochure site. Just a few templates so prospective customers can see what SmartLabs is all about and contact them. A relatively short project that would result in something beautiful. But don’t be fooled; this site isn’t strictly bare bones. We were still able to integrate their site with their preferred analytics and marketing services: Hubspot and Google Analytics.
