Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.

Lepshey is a UI/UX design agency that helps startups, small and medium-sized businesses create better digital products since 2007. We believe that design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works - simple, clear, and logical. That’s why we aim to create clean and smart interfaces that are centered around business objectives. Our basic offerings include UI/UX design for Mobile and Web applications, Branding and Development. For 14 years we’ve also gained strong experience in Fintech design.

I’m the Founder & CEO of the company.

What is the story behind starting this company?

My design story started in 2000 when I was working as a Junior Web designer. During the next 7 years, my position changed to the Art director of one big and well-known IT company in Belarus. I wished to perform more challenging and unordinary projects and create a community of like-minded people with similar visions. So, in 2007 I started my little design agency Lepshey.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

Our core is the in-house team of high-level UI/UX designers and front-end developers.

We don’t provide back-end development, but we work in strong cooperation with several development teams that help us achieve the best result and deliver A-class projects built from top to bottom.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

On the one hand, we could assemble the high-professional design team and developed our own well-recognizable style. At the same time, we are open to new ideas and experiments. That’s why our design solutions are not just nice looking. They perfectly work right now and will work perfectly in the future.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

Since 2007 our portfolio has replenished with projects from completely different spheres: healthcare, media, retail, legal, edutainment, and even game dev. A huge part of projects was connected with the Fintech industry, so, we can definitely claim that we’ve become real experts in this field. About 70% of our clients come back to us with new ideas or recommend our services to their network. That’s a very nice indicator of our work quality, and we're glad that our partners keep trusting us for many years of collaboration.

Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?

Our DNA is UI / UX design and that's our main strength. Lepshey team creates clean, user-friendly, and emotional interfaces. People should enjoy the products they use. Agree? And that's our main goal. Very often new clients say “I saw your job, and I really liked it! I want people to feel the same while using our product”. And that’s the most pleasant thing for us to hear.

There were a few funny moments when our clients showed the examples of what they want to see in the end, and we saw our projects among this list (but the clients didn't know that as we don't always show our full portfolio because of the NDA).

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?

When we hear about our client's successes and find out they reached new heights, that means we did a good job from our side. And it was a really long way to make it happen: UI/UX research, project Mind Map, Customer Journey Map, User Flows, prototyping, testing, development of design concepts, and designing of a big amount of interface elements.

For instance, we are finishing one of the projects right now and can share with you some impressive numbers: for just one application our team has created 50 unique pages, 150 cards and blocks, 50 individual illustrations, and 150 unrepeated pictograms. But a user hardly notices all these elements separately, they notice emotions appearing while interacting with an interface. They will simply like it or not. And we do our best to create better digital experiences.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?

As far as we normally provide UX/UI design & development services, we get a lot of support requests. It can be the improvement of current UX, UI design, or web development of the website or app.

All the clients' queries are processed in the CRM system, ready designs are shared via inVision, Gitlab is used for repository and control of various project versions.
The project archive is always available to the client, even if the project is 10 years old. We have archives of all our projects and can easily trace the development process.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

Of course, a lot depends on the project, but we always try to offer flexible conditions to our clients.

The Fixed Cost model is used for mainly small tasks, MVP development, and projects with limited resources. Time & Material model is widely practiced for long-lasting projects with changing requirements. Pay per Milestone is popular among our regular customers, as it allows to cut the feedback waiting time.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

The starting price is the following: $1200 for UI/UX audit and $2500 for design concept development. It’s a regular case when new clients start working with us ordering such small and fast services, and when they see the result, they decide to trust us with more complex challenges.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?

We’ve been working with projects of different complexity and duration - from 40 to 1500 working hours. On average the cost of our projects is about $10 000. In 2020 the price range was between $1200 and $50 000, but it wasn't an easy year for business, as you may have noticed.

Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?

I see it in the 1st place of the Top Web Design Companies on Goodfirms :)
