Velder (subsidiary of FrieslandCampina) was looking for a new partner for the redevelopment of thé online cheese platform in the Netherlands: After a tender round among several agencies, their choice fell on MBU! We could start designing and building the new Kaas-website!

The current website was outdated and looked very messy and gray. In addition, it was built on a closed source CMS. This made the content difficult to manage and the backend was not designed in a user-friendly way. Zijerveld wanted a new and fresh design and a backend in which managing content would be a “piece of cake”.

Made by US and PortofoonWEB have been working together for many years. A collaboration that began with the design of PortofoonWEB 2.0. From that moment, Made by US has developed and improved both the frontend and the backend. With the arrival of Hyvä Themes, this was the perfect moment to take the next big step: PortofoonWEB 3.0!
We sat down with PortofoonWEB to utilize Hyvä as effectively as possible. It was decided not only to make the transition but also to design a complete redesign, rebrand the color and logo, improve the functionalities, and overhaul the structure and layout of the webshop. A significant challenge, but no task is too big for Made by US!

Velder is a wholesale cheese distributor and international supplier to numerous specialty stores and large supermarket chains such as Jumbo, Albert Heijn, and Picnic. Since its founding, the company has been known as an innovator in the cheese market and is now owned by Royal FrieslandCampina. This makes Velder an essential part of the most renowned dairy company. However, due to all the digital and sustainable challenges and innovations, it faces ongoing challenges. Customers now expect purchases and services to be conducted digitally and want real-time insight into logistics, inventory, and prices.
So, it was time for Velder to show why they are the leader. Time for renewal! Thus began the search for a digital/e-commerce partner to guide this process. After a search in which several parties were reviewed, Made by Us emerged as the most suitable partner. Together, we navigate through the digital transformation to a fully smart platform that aligns with the (renewed) processes and customer needs. The goal is a continuously developing platform with sales and service channels that support both the customer and the organization.
