Food & Beverages

Background

Etno Cafe is a Polish coffee brand with a multifaceted concept: artisanal coffee roastery, cold-brew coffee brewery, and a growing chain of cafés. They wanted a website that matched their brand evolution — more dynamic, more secure, more performant.

Challenge & Goal

Their existing WordPress site suffered from security vulnerabilities, sluggish performance, and limited flexibility for non-technical editors. The team needed:

  • A secure, high-speed platform that can scale

  • A CMS that empowers content teams to update menus, promotions, store locations, etc.

  • A design that reflects the visual richness of the Etno brand

  • Smooth integrations with marketing, lead generation, and B2B tools

Effects

We rebuilt their site using a Jamstack architecture, employing Gatsby and Netlify for fast, secure delivery and Sanity as headless CMS. Now content edits — menu updates, promotional banners, branch listings — can be made without touching code.

Performance metrics soared:

  • PageSpeed score improved from 73 to 91
  • FCP dropped from 1.7 s to 0.6 s
  • LCP dropped from 4.2 s to 0.6 s
  • CLS dropped from 1.39 to 0.014

Users now enjoy a fast, visually engaging experience, and the site reliably supports Etno Cafe’s brand growth and content needs.

Technologies Used

  • Frontend / Framework: Gatsby

  • Headless CMS: Sanity

  • Hosting / Deployment: Netlify

  • Integrations: marketing & lead tools, content workflows

Information Technology

Background

Best IT is a leading digital transformation partner in the DACH region, recognized as an e-commerce pioneer since 2000. As a digital agency, they needed their website to reflect both cutting-edge expertise and flawless performance. However, their existing WordPress-based site struggled with flexibility, scalability, and declining speed, which also hurt SEO.

Challenge & Goal

The monolithic architecture meant that even small design changes required architectural updates, slowing down marketing workflows and increasing developer dependency. Performance metrics were steadily worsening, which impacted visibility and user engagement. Best IT wanted a solution that would:

  • Deliver top-tier performance and SEO readiness

  • Provide modular, fully editable content blocks for their team

  • Reduce developer involvement in daily content management

  • Build a modern, future-proof architecture

Effects

We rebuilt the site using Next.js and Storyblok CMS, creating over 70 reusable React-based components. Thanks to modular content blocks, the marketing team gained independence, easily arranging and editing pages.

Performance skyrocketed:

  • Lighthouse score jumped from 24 to 100
  • Time to Interactive improved from 4.3s to 0.9s
  • LCP dropped from 1.4s to 0.6s

The new website reflects Best IT’s position as a leader in digital innovation while offering scalability through API-based microservices and modern design.

Technologies Used

  • Next.js

  • TypeScript

  • Storyblok

  • Netlify

  • Tailwind CSS

Advertising & Marketing

Background

Dajemy Słowo is a Polish content marketing agency whose website plays a crucial role in attracting new clients and supporting their sales funnel. Their old site, built on WordPress back in 2013, no longer met modern performance or security standards and lacked the strong visuals that matched the agency’s creative profile.

Challenge & Goal

The outdated WordPress version posed security risks and performance issues, especially on mobile. Dajemy Słowo also wanted elegant animations and uncompromising design to reflect their brand identity. The main goals were to boost site performance, strengthen security, and build a visually engaging, modern platform that didn’t compromise SEO.

Effects

We rebuilt the website using a Jamstack approach, combining Gatsby, TypeScript, and Sanity CMS. This gave the team a secure, modular, and performance-oriented foundation. Thanks to the architecture, we were able to implement creative animations without sacrificing speed or SEO rankings. The new site loads quickly, performs flawlessly on mobile, and reflects the agency’s energetic, modern identity. The result is a future-proof platform that strengthens Dajemy Słowo’s market presence and enhances both usability and customer experience.

E-commerce

Background

Beuta is a U.S. e-commerce company specializing in faux-stone landscaping edging solutions. Their website, however, lacked visual appeal, clear product storytelling, and effective support for bulk orders. They came to us wanting more than a design refresh — they needed a true growth engine.

Challenge & Goal

Their prior store failed to communicate product benefits, navigation was clunky, and there was no good way to handle volume orders with discounts. Beuta’s key goals were:

  • Increase conversion rates by improving UX and layout

  • Elevate visual aesthetics to match their brand and show what makes the products special

  • Simplify bulk purchasing via a custom bundling and discount system

Effects

We conducted a UX audit, benchmark research, then redesigned navigation, product/collection pages, and overall interface. We also built a custom bundle app with a dynamic savings calculator and automated suggestions, enabling customers to see real-time discounts when purchasing more. The outcome was strong: Beuta saw a 22% increase in average order value, smoother user flows, clearer product messaging, and a powerful bulk-ordering experience.

Stack & Features

  • Shopify (custom development)

  • Custom bundle app & dynamic pricing logic

  • UX audit & strategic redesign

  • Navigation overhaul & improved product storytelling

Healthcare & Medical

Background

Urban is a wellness platform that allows users to book treatments — from spa to physiotherapy — delivered at home in as little as 60 minutes. Their website is a key channel for acquiring and serving customers, but the old setup created bottlenecks: content changes required developer support, and the monolithic architecture made scaling difficult.

Challenge & Goal

Urban’s content team needed more autonomy to create, target, and update pages for different user groups. At the same time, performance issues negatively affected SEO and user experience. The goals were clear: redesign the site for speed and flexibility, migrate away from a monolithic setup, and introduce a headless CMS that empowered marketers without relying on developers.

Effects

We migrated Urban’s website to a Jamstack architecture with Next.js and TypeScript, pairing it with Storyblok as the headless CMS.

  • Storyblok’s visual editor and modular blocks gave the content team the ability to preview and publish changes instantly, cutting the page-building process from a month to just a week.
  • Performance improved dramatically, with Lighthouse scores jumping from 30 to 96.
  • Developers were freed from daily content tasks, while marketers gained full control over SEO and content strategy.
  • The new setup ensures scalability, autonomy, and a better user experience.

Productivity

Background

Lingohub is a localization management platform that helps teams translate and manage their software projects more efficiently. It provides developers, managers, and translators with one collaborative space for creating, storing, and maintaining multilingual content.

Challenge & Goal

When Lingohub approached us, their application was originally built in Angular, which limited runtime performance and flexibility for scaling. The company needed a faster, more customizable solution that could handle the complexity of their translation workflows while also enabling continuous improvements. The goal was to redesign the frontend, modernize the stack, and improve the user experience without disrupting the core product vision.

Effects

We rebuilt Lingohub’s frontend in Vue.js and TypeScript, improving responsiveness, maintainability, and long-term scalability. Alongside this migration, we developed key features requested by users: a new translation editor for higher quality output, customized term bases, machine translation integrations, team management tools, and version control. These enhancements streamlined workflows, reduced translation errors, and gave customers more autonomy in managing projects. The result was a faster, more intuitive platform that empowers product teams to deliver localized software to global audiences.

Financial & Payments

Background

Capitalise is a UK-based fintech platform that helps small businesses access finance and manage financial health, in part through relationships with financial institutions. Their existing website, built on an outdated Pimcore setup, struggled with content updates, editorial complexity, and performance bottlenecks.

Challenge & Goal

The old system hindered migration, SEO, and content agility. Key objectives were:

  • Migrate from legacy Pimcore to a modern headless architecture

  • Empower non-technical content editors with a visual, block-based CMS

  • Achieve high performance (fast FCP, LCP, excellent Lighthouse scores)

  • Enable data-driven experimentation via A/B and multivariate testing capabilities

Effects

We replatformed their site using Next.js for the frontend and Storyblok as the headless CMS. The new CMS gives editors intuitive drag-and-drop block editing, live previews, and reusable modules. To ensure performance, we optimized rendering, leveraged Azure Front Door, and refined asset delivery, producing significantly faster load times. We integrated a robust A/B testing framework (PostHog) to allow Capitalise to continuously test content and layout variations. The result: a scalable, flexible platform that boosts editorial efficiency, improves user experience, and supports growth through data-driven optimization.

Technologies Used

  • Frontend / Rendering: Next.js

  • CMS: Storyblok (visual, composable)

  • Infrastructure / Routing: Azure Front Door

  • Styling & UI: Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion

  • Testing / Experimentation: PostHog (A/B), multivariate testing tool

Background

Carnium Botanicals is a health & wellness brand offering natural supplements with a focus on quality, efficacy, and botanical science. They operated across 12 stores, but their fragmented architecture made management complex, and their web presence didn’t fully convey the premium nature of their brand.

Challenge & Goal

Their existing stores suffered from outdated UX, weak brand consistency, and slow conversions. Multiple stores across markets led to high maintenance overhead and inconsistency. The goals were:

  • Consolidate all stores into a unified Shopify Plus platform

  • Redesign with a modern, brand-aligned UX to improve engagement and conversions

  • Integrate essential functionalities (subscriptions, reviews, marketing tools) for seamless operations

Effects

We delivered 12 revitalized Shopify Plus stores merged into a single scalable platform. The new design elevated brand perception, featuring an intuitive mega menu, clean product pages, and streamlined checkout flows. Better UX and reduced friction led to a measurable uplift in user engagement and online sales. Consolidation simplified management: maintaining one platform instead of many, cutting down dev effort and reducing operational complexity. Naturaily continues to support Carnium Botanicals with ongoing maintenance and feature enhancements.

Technologies Used

  • Shopify Plus (custom theme, Liquid)

  • UX / UI Design: Figma for prototyping and collaboration

  • Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid

Background

Bronson Labs is a U.S. health & wellness brand offering a wide line of natural supplements. Their existing e-commerce platform, Magento, was expensive to maintain, slow to adapt, and required developer involvement even for trivial changes. They needed a more agile, marketer-friendly solution.

Challenge & Goal

Key pain points included sluggish site performance, complex updates (e.g. adding discounts or banners took many minutes), and high ongoing maintenance costs (estimated at $90,000/year) on Magento. Bronson Labs wanted to:

  • Migrate fully from Magento to Shopify without losing data integrity

  • Cut maintenance / development overhead

  • Empower their marketing team to manage content, promotions, and product pages independently

Effects

We executed a full Magento to Shopify migration: transferred users, orders, product data, and rebuilt UX/UI via a custom Shopify theme with Liquid. We integrated key services — Klaviyo for marketing, Netsuite ERP, Yotpo reviews, GlobalE for international commerce, and Algolia for advanced search.

Post-migration, daily operations became vastly simpler:

  • Creating a discount now takes seconds (versus ~15 minutes before)
  • Adding or editing product pages is fast and error-free (90% more efficient)
  • Maintenance costs dropped by a third
  • Developer dependency was greatly reduced by 70%
  • The marketing team now controls site content and promotions directly

Financial & Payments

Background

Boodil is a fintech company offering open banking / account-to-account payment solutions aimed to simplify and reduce transaction costs for e-commerce merchants. However, although their core payments platform was solid, they couldn’t integrate directly with Shopify, limiting their market reach.

Challenge & Goal

Their main challenge was to build a Shopify-approved payment application that connects Boodil’s backend payments system with Shopify stores, while satisfying Shopify’s strict compliance, security, and operational standards. The goals included:

  1. Develop a secure, scalable Shopify app that enables merchants to accept Boodil payments seamlessly.

  2. Implement enterprise features — refunds, sandbox mode, webhook handling, multi-market support, currency handling.

  3. Create an architecture that balances reliability, performance, and extensibility for future growth.

Effects

We built the system on Ruby on Rails, using AWS infrastructure, background processing (Sidekiq) and secure patterns (HMAC verification, encrypted data, webhook safety) to meet Shopify’s standards. A thin Shopify app delegated core logic to a robust intermediary layer, enabling multi-market and multi-currency operations without duplication. As a result, Boodil became an approved Shopify payment provider, unlocking access to Shopify’s merchant base, expanding into multiple markets, and supporting high transaction volumes. Merchant feedback emphasizes ease of installation, reliability, and performance.

Technologies Used

  • Backend / App: Ruby on Rails

  • Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, ECR, S3, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, KMS)

  • Background Jobs: Sidekiq

  • Front / App UI: Polaris View Components

  • Security & Integration: HMAC, encrypted storage, webhook verification

Business Services

Background

FGS Global is a leading global strategic communications firm advising corporations, governments, and institutions. They needed more than a static informational site — they wanted a fully modern, performance-oriented platform to support their content, brand storytelling, and global presence.

Challenge & Goal

Their legacy site struggled with technical debt, slow performance, and a rigid CMS that couldn’t handle multilingual content or complex content workflows. Their content team (12+ editors) managed over 1,500 content items and 128 components but lacked a visual editor, good multilang support, or flexible search functionality. The project aims were:

  • Elevate site performance and code quality

  • Adopt a modern headless CMS with intuitive visual editing

  • Build a powerful, custom search tool to surface content across types

Effects

We rebuilt the website using Next.js for hybrid SSR/SSG performance and paired it with Storyblok as headless CMS, giving the content team block-based modules, visual editing, multilingual support, and better control. We integrated Algolia to power a custom content search solution that supports dynamic redirection, type-aware results, and filtering. The result is a scalable, modern platform: troubleshooting legacy issues, streamlining content management, improving user experience, and positioning FGS Global for continuous content growth.

Technologies Used

  • Frontend / Framework: Next.js + React

  • CMS: Storyblok (visual editor, component blocks, i18n)

  • Search: Algolia custom engine

Background

Nanobébé is an innovative baby-products brand offering advanced feeding solutions—bottles, storage, accessories—designed to preserve human milk’s nutrients and support parents in nurturing infants. As the brand grew, it needed a more flexible, scalable commerce solution that matched its innovation and allowed seamless product launches.

Challenge & Goal

Nanobébé’s existing Shopify Liquid store became limiting in design, content flexibility, and ability to support new product lines (like the Aura baby monitor). The main goals were:

  • Transition from Liquid to a headless architecture to unlock frontend control and agility

  • Enable new products & features (pre-orders, subscriptions) with minimal friction

  • Improve user experience with a modern, responsive, fast interface across all devices

Effects

We rebuilt Nanobébé’s commerce site as a headless solution using Next.js, Storyblok CMS, and Shopify as backend.

  • The new setup enabled dynamic content control, seamless pre-orders and subscription handling, and a smooth content update workflow for non-technical users.
  • Performance improved notably: Total Blocking Time dropped by about 80%, and the GTmetrix performance score rose by ~117 %.
  • The result is a future-proof platform that supports growth, richer customer experiences, and easier internal content management.

E-commerce

Background

Nerdy Banana is a UK/US–based e-commerce and digital agency managing multiple custom gift brands (e.g. socks, blankets, dolls). Their business model centers on high personalization: customers upload images, add text, and tailor products. Before working with us, they faced heavy manual work in order processing and no real-time product preview for customers.

Challenge & Goal

Their manual workflow slowed production: designers had to cut out uploaded images by hand, prepare print files separately, and everything took hours. There was no live preview capability, and Shopify order integration was patchy. We aimed to:

  1. Build a custom Shopify app to support live product customization (text, images, filters) with preview.

  2. Automate post-purchase processes: generate print files, integrate with Dropbox, reduce manual intervention.

  3. Provide an admin panel for managing product templates and customization rules, giving control back to the Nerdy Banana team.

Effects

  • Our solution transformed operations: production lead time shrank from 48 hours to 5 minutes, and file prep time dropped from 24 hours to just 10 seconds.
  • Delivery times fell from 4-5 days to 1 day.
  • Because customers see live previews, satisfaction and conversion improved.
  • Order backlogs disappeared.
  • This system scales across product types and brands, positioning Nerdy Banana for growth in high-customization e-commerce.

Background

n8n is a Berlin-based SaaS company offering a powerful, source-available workflow automation platform. As the product scaled, their marketing and content goals outgrew the old website infrastructure. They needed a performant, SEO-friendly, and scalable site that could support massive, API-driven content generation while giving the marketing team more autonomy.

Challenge & Goal

The existing site required heavy developer involvement and relied on manual SEO interventions. Handling growing volumes of API integrations (e.g., Strapi, Ghost, Google Sheets/Drive) caused latency, rate-limit, and build-time issues. n8n’s main goals were to increase performance, simplify content workflows, and enable large-scale, automated page generation with minimal technical overhead.

Effects

We rebuilt the website in Nuxt.js with a hybrid rendering approach (SSR + static), supported by caching and Cloudflare edge workers. This allowed API responses to be pre-fetched and stored locally, reducing build times and API calls. With automated SEO features, dynamic metadata, and streamlined content management, marketers gained independence from developers. The architecture now supports scaling from ~2,000 to 300,000+ pages, boosting organic reach by 300% and performance. The result is a future-proof platform, significantly faster, more flexible, and aligned with n8n’s growth ambitions.
