NetBramha Studios is an award-winning design studio, specializing in UI/UX, website, mobile app design & development. Our main offerings are research, strategy & design for new product design, scaling ventures, & digital transformation of legacy systems. Since our beginnings, 14 years ago, we have successfully catered to 250+ clients, spread across 25 countries & 20+ major industries, impacting a billion lives worldwide. We provide user research, product strategy, design thinking, & digital interface/experience design across website, mobile, IoT, kiosks, wearable technology, AR/VR, & more. We also help organizations with their branding.

I am the Founder & CEO of NetBramha Studios, with 15+ years of experience in design entrepreneurship.

What is the story behind starting this company?

I was introduced to the concept of design by a mentor when I was hardly 14 years old, and I have been a constant student of this discipline since then. My first entrepreneurial stint was during my college days when I co-founded a small company, with my friend, that provided design & branding services for small-scale organizations. That is where I realized the massive potential that design and design thinking have in shaping the course of technology, and our lives. Just wanted to do design full time when it wasn't really a norm, so took the plunge after my first product startup.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We provide an end-to-end in-house design team, starting right from the research & discovery phase all the way to product strategy, design, & development. We have a team of 50+ designers spread across UX, UI, visual, graphic, illustration, & motion design.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

NetBramha Studios is one of the earliest established design studios in India, starting way back in 2008 when the concept of design (& design thinking) was relatively new & untouched. What differentiates us from the competition is not just our long-standing experience but a diverse clientele, ranging from budding startups to established enterprises; including unicorns & Fortune 500 companies such as Google, Microsoft, Mckinsey, Infosys, & more. We have catered to leading names in fintech, retail, eCommerce, healthcare, edtech, & similar industries. Our extensive tech reach includes website designing, mobile app design & development, IoT, AR/VR designs. We are staunch followers of design thinking and are a group of extremely talented, passionate, & creative people who believe in adding value to our users’ lives. What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?

We don’t believe in rating ourselves through numbers or grades for this parameter. In my personal opinion, every client that we have worked with, be it an MNC or a
startup, has been thoroughly satisfied by our services, deliverables, management style, & most importantly quality of craft. Also, our job is to add value to customer’s customers. So when we focus on the real end-user the
value add is always exponential. We stick to carefully designed workflows, project management & governance, & communication protocols that not only guarantee (& exceed) client expectations but also ensure smooth & seamless collaboration across design teams, clients, & other stakeholders despite us having transitioned to 100% remote set up.

And in order to ensure this, we follow -
  • Clearly-defined project governance system ( meetings, daily updates, multiple communication channels - Slack, emails, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc).
  • Internal & external collaboration in 100% remote setup.
  • Dedicated PMs (project managers) & senior designers for every project form a well-rounded cross-functional team with skills & experience required to work alongside the complete gamut of client stakeholders (CEO, senior management, & more).
  • Multiple review structures (peer, senior, partner, etc).
  • Stakeholder meetings & interviews to ensure we understand our clients’ goals, aspirations, & most important values.
  • We are staunch advocates of human-centered design & use that in our daily design practice.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?

As mentioned above, we comply with a well-defined project governance system that keeps our client, external and internal teams well informed about everything that happens in the project. Through this, we ensure transparency in all our procedures. Additionally, we handpick designers, developers, & project managers from our pool to be assigned for every design project keeping in mind their experience, seniority, & skills. Every design project will have a dedicated project manager to ensure the smooth running of the project, a senior designer, & my direct involvement as the principal designer. We follow well-defined scope & timelines for each project and have set targets & design deliverables for the same.
Every single step of the project is carefully planned and documented to keep track of important data & milestones. Our team is available over multiple communication
channels - be it Slack, the usual emails, or even WhatsApp (for urgent communications & feedback). Our timely internal reviews, which are way more scrutinized and exacting than reviews from the clients, ensure that with us you get the promise of unparalleled quality within (& sometimes even before) the stipulated time.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

We have two models of payment structure - continuous & project-based delivery.
  • Continuous is best suited for MNCs & product companies with changing needs. The scope & timeline set for these projects are flexible & evolve as per the requirements. The billing is on an hourly/monthly basis.
  • Project-based is apt for clearly defined scope & deliverables. With these two factors locked, we charge our clients on a per-project basis.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

Our minimum commitment that we seek from our clients is a starting value of 25K USD onwards.
