Digital Wilderness
Two game devs walk into a developer conference in Liverpool. Upon the realisation all attendees were students, one says to the other, "fancy getting a beer and starting a company?". Two pints and a Burger King later Nonatomic Games was born.
Four years on and we've grown beyond our foundations in gaming, but it's still where our dreams go at night. Not a day goes by where we haven't generated a crazy new idea that will never see the light of day. What's that? A UFO, goat smuggling, Mexican border game! This is game conception at its most fun, we throw everything at the wall and only the very best ideas stick without peeling off the paint.
Since our inception, we've servicised ourselves (What do you mean that's not a word?). We turned our game development kung-fu into a service (Is that better?). You name it we can build it, but game design is our super power.
How could games fit your brand? Ok, so say you have a business that sells Pizza and you have a new product coming to market. What better way to draw attention to your product than to build a pizza kichen management game featuring a branded pizza chef who must build pizzas to order against the clock. Combine this with product placement and calls to action! Show off your fun side with marketing through game play.
If that doesn't grab your adoring public's attention, then let's get social. Share a winning adventure of Pizza Steve to Facebook or snapshot an epic fail via Twitter. Schedule live streams of gameplay events to a Facebook page, Youtube or Twitch. Offer prize draws, free pizza or discounts in exchange for gameplay and more importantly, spending quality time, up close and personal with your brand. Challenge your users via scoreboards, weekly missions and hints to hidden content to bring the social chatter to a crescendo.
Perhaps your business needs to catch the eye of attendees at a conference or convention. Bringing gaming to the convention floor is a huge crowd draw. From giant touch screens to Virtual Reality headsets, you can engage with your target audience.
We've been working with our Manchester based client Mi on VR projects and helping push the boundaries of AR installations at the London, Southbank Centre throughout 2016. We are beyond excited about the future of VR gaming and its marketing potential over the coming years.
