My name is Nat Rosasco, and I’m the Principal and Creative Director of Olive Street Design, a full-service digital marketing agency I founded in 2003. We’re based in the Chicago area with offices in Elmhurst, Villa Park, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and we proudly serve clients across the globe.
At Olive Street Design, we help businesses of all sizes bring their brands to life through smart, creative solutions—from web design and branding to SEO and ecommerce. Our team delivers a fresh alternative to high-priced ad agencies by offering customized, high-quality marketing strategies tailored to our clients’ specific goals.
As Principal, I lead our sales and client relationships, focusing on both onboarding new businesses and supporting our longtime partners with ongoing solutions. As Creative Director, I help guide the visual and strategic direction of our projects, ensuring everything we produce is aligned, impactful, and forward-thinking.
We take pride in our human-first approach to digital marketing—real people, accessible service, and genuine relationships that drive real results.
What inspired the founding of your company, and what is the story behind its inception?
The idea for Olive Street Design was born in 2003 during my time working for a private equity firm. I was placed inside a dot-com company and immediately saw the immense potential of the internet to reshape how businesses connect with customers. Prior to that, I had worked in manufacturing, but the digital space sparked something new in me—it felt like the future, and I wanted to be part of building it.
What started as a small design shop has since grown into a trusted digital partner for businesses across the country. We've evolved alongside the industry, staying agile and innovative so we can always offer what’s next to our clients. From day one, the mission has remained the same: to empower businesses to succeed online through creative strategy, strong design, and honest, human connection. That approach continues to guide everything we do at Olive Street Design.
What are the core values and principles that drive your company's culture, and how do you ensure alignment with these values across your team?
At Olive Street Design, our culture is rooted in three core values: collaboration, creativity, and integrity. These principles guide not only the work we produce but the way we engage with one another and our clients.
We’ve built a highly collaborative environment where team members are encouraged to share ideas, solve problems together, and support each other across departments. Creativity fuels everything we do, and we value originality and curiosity just as much as strategy and execution. And at the foundation of it all is integrity—doing what we say we’re going to do, being transparent in our communication, and treating our clients and teammates with respect.
To stay aligned with these values, we combine culture fit with creative and technical talent when building our team. We look for people who are not only skilled, but who thrive in a collaborative environment and are genuinely invested in producing great work.
Internally, we maintain alignment through regular communication. We hold bi-monthly high-level meetings to track progress on quarterly goals and weekly check-ins to stay connected on specific projects. These touchpoints help us remain focused, stay accountable, and ensure that our work consistently reflects the high standards we’ve set as a team.
Ultimately, our culture isn't just something we talk about—it’s something we live every day in how we show up for our work, our clients, and each other.
Can you highlight some of the key achievements or milestones your company has accomplished since its inception?
Since founding Olive Street Design in 2005, we’ve grown from a small design shop into a nationally recognized full-service digital marketing agency. One of our proudest achievements was being named an official Google Partner and a top-rated agency on platforms like Clutch and UpCity.
We’ve launched hundreds of websites for businesses across the country, helping companies in a range of industries build their online presence and scale their success. While we’re proud of each and every client, some big names we’ve had the pleasure to work with include the United Nations, Harvard University, University of Michigan, University of Notre Dame, Chicago Public Schools, and Sweet Baby Rays. We’re also proud of the long-term relationships we’ve built—some of our clients have been with us for over a decade.
Could you explain your company's business model? Do you primarily operate with an in-house team or utilize third-party vendors/outsourcing?
We primarily operate with a dedicated, in-house team. We believe in fostering strong internal collaboration, which leads to consistent quality and accountability across projects. In rare cases where a specialty service is needed, we may partner with a trusted vendor, but all strategy, design, development, and client communication are handled internally. This allows us to maintain control over quality and deliver a seamless client experience from start to finish.
How does your company differentiate itself from competitors in the industry?
What sets Olive Street Design apart is our ability to combine the creativity and service of a boutique agency with the capability of a larger firm. We’re known for our hands-on approach, deep listening, and personal connection to our clients. Unlike agencies that rely on templates or rigid packages, we create custom strategies rooted in each client’s goals, industry, and brand voice. And above all, we’re real people—accessible, responsive, and invested in our clients’ success.
How would you describe the dynamics within your team, and how do you foster collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals?
Our team is highly collaborative and supportive. We emphasize open communication, shared accountability, and mutual respect. It’s a really special group of people and a unique dynamic we have. Weekly check-ins and bi-monthly strategy meetings keep us aligned and ensure everyone is contributing toward collective goals. Because we’re a tight-knit team, there’s a strong sense of ownership and pride in the work. Everyone’s voice matters, and that drives innovation and excellence across every project.
What measures do you take to support the professional development and growth of your employees? Do you offer training programs or opportunities for skill enhancement?
We actively encourage continued learning. Team members attend industry webinars, take part in training sessions, and are encouraged to explore new tools or certifications that can enhance their skill sets. We’re also big on mentorship—more experienced team members regularly share insights and guidance, and we provide opportunities for cross-training to build versatility and confidence across roles.
Could you share a notable success story or case study that exemplifies the impact your company has had on a client's business?
Schoops Hamburgers approached to enhance their online presence for their multiple locations across the Midwest. We designed and built a beautiful and mouth-watering website with the goal of increasing sales across all franchises. The first year of results included 418,548 page views (up 458%), 161,555 visitors (up 379%), and user engagement of 14,563 (up by 556%). They rank on page 1 on Google for every location and multiple keywords.
What industries do you primarily cater to, and do you have a significant percentage of repeat clients? If so, what is the ratio of repeat clients?
We serve a broad range of industries, including healthcare, legal, real estate, education, home services, and hospitality. While we’re industry-agnostic, our sweet spot is working with small to mid-sized businesses that are looking for a strategic digital partner. A large percentage of our business—approximately 85%—comes from repeat clients or client referrals. That kind of loyalty is a testament to the relationships we’ve built and the results we deliver.
What initiatives does your company undertake to foster innovation and stay at the forefront of industry trends? Do you invest in research and development projects?
Staying current is part of our DNA. We constantly monitor digital trends, test new tools, and evaluate emerging technologies that can benefit our clients. Internally, we experiment with new design techniques, UX strategies, and content approaches. Our team is always learning, innovating, and sharing knowledge to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.

Clients come to us because they want a one-stop shop for digital marketing—whether they’re starting from scratch or scaling an existing brand. We’re currently promoting a thoughtful series of SMB enhancements, such as AI Chatbots, online booking, Google reviews, and more.
How do you build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, and what mechanisms do you have in place for gathering and acting upon client feedback?
We prioritize clear, ongoing communication. From kickoff to launch and beyond, clients are in the loop. We use project management tools to keep everyone aligned and encourage feedback throughout the process. After a project wraps, we conduct informal check-ins and always follow up with support services. Many clients return to us with additional projects or refer us to others, which we see as a strong indicator of trust. We also welcome testimonials and reviews on platforms like Clutch and Google, and we use that feedback to refine our process.
How has your company adapted to changes and challenges in the business landscape, and what strategies have you employed to ensure resilience and sustainability?
Over the past two decades, we’ve adapted to major shifts—from the mobile-first revolution to evolving search algorithms and the rise of AI. Our strategy has always been to stay flexible and proactive. We diversified our services, embraced remote collaboration, and doubled down on client education. Through economic downturns and global disruptions, we’ve remained steady by focusing on value, relationships, and long-term thinking.
What payment structure do you typically follow when billing clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, or Pay per Milestone (phases, months, versions, etc.)?
We typically operate on a fixed-cost model for most projects, especially website builds and branding packages. For larger or phased projects, we may break the work into milestones with corresponding payments. For ongoing services like SEO, website maintenance, or content marketing, we offer monthly retainer agreements.
Do you accept projects that meet your basic budget requirements? If yes, what is the minimum budget requirement? If no, what is the minimum budget you have worked with in the past?
Yes, we work with businesses of all sizes, provided the project aligns with our expertise and workload capacity. We're always happy to offer scalable solutions that grow with the client.
Can you provide an overview of the price range (minimum and maximum) of the projects your company worked on in 2024?
In 2024, our projects range from $750 for small business websites or brand refreshes, up to $50,000+ for more complex ecommerce platforms, branding overhauls, or multi-service marketing campaigns.
What technological capabilities does your company possess, and are there any ongoing or planned investments in technology infrastructure or tools to enhance your services?
Duda-powered websites are the core of who we are and what we do. Duda’s flexibility and robust capabilities allow us to craft responsive, professional, and visually stunning websites tailored to each client's unique needs. The vetting process took years, and we worked with other big-name competitors as a team to really test the ins and outs until we unanimously stated the obvious - Duda always reigned superior. We use the platform to create websites that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional and optimized for performance. The advantages to our clients are vast, including:
1. User-friendly interface: Duda allows easy updates and management, empowering clients to make changes to their websites without needing advanced technical skills.
2. Responsive design: With Duda’s built-in mobile optimization, we ensure that every website delivers a seamless experience across devices, catering to the growing mobile-first audience.
3. SEO optimization: This was one of my personal biggest selling points for Duda because their platform comes equipped with powerful SEO tools, which we use to improve visibility and search rankings for our clients.
4. Scalable features: From e-commerce solutions to dynamic widgets, Duda provides scalable options that grow alongside our clients’ businesses.
Where do you envision your company in the next 10 years? What are your long-term goals and aspirations for growth and development?
Over the next decade, we see Olive Street Design continuing to expand our national presence while staying rooted in the values that brought us here: creativity, connection, and client-first thinking.
