The company as founded in 2008 by David Bryan, the current Managing Director. Drawing on his years of experience in digital and IT strategy, it was clear to him that the clients he worked with were looking for more open, fluid solutions to match an ever-changing technological world. Specialising in open source web development using some of the world's leading platforms like Magento, WordPress and Joomla, Opace was one of the first agencies in Birmingham to brand itself as an open source digital agency.
