Effective work with an awesome team

My experience with SEM Nexus was stellar to say the least. From the start of the project we were assigned a campaign manager who really dedicated himself to us and our needs. Communicating with the team was a breeze as they were very responsive and ready to help. Overall the results of the campaign were even better than anticipated and I’m very thankful we decided to work with SEM Nexus on this.

The most unprofessional firm. Will drain your marketing budget.

We onboarded Sem Nexus for online paid ads and influencer marketing, with a total budget of $20,000 - $5000 of which was their monthly fee, and $15k allocated as marketing budget.

In the first week they conducted ‘market research’ which was top level Googling, and was not heavily focused on our target market but instead a more broad, US-focused audience. In the second week, they ‘researched’ which ad networks could be used, which again was top level Googling, and did not include any performance analysis into such ad networks, the only wrote a 2-3 line outline of the ad network descriptions. Our marketing interns did such work in just 2 business days. It then took Sem Nexus 4 business days to set up accounts, which at most takes quite literally 5 minutes to set up per ad network.

They promised to refund the $15k unspent marketing budget. They are now ignoring all communication attempts. We can only assume Michael Kordvani and SEM Nexus intend to keep our money.

After onboarding: - 2 business days to respond to anything - can take a week to do simple tasks - reports are on par with trainee level work - they stole from us $15,000

DREADFUL they are inadequate in every aspect. Technically incompetent. Money grabbers.

They were suppose to create a social media app like Instagram but just for food, they were way off target with deadlines and spent months correcting things that were technically at error then complained to us that they were doing this "extra" work for free, these guys are technically way out of their depth they simply don't have any technical expertise, the lead CTO Marco talks over you and can't communicate at all, the CEO Mike just ignores emails and only gets involved once the customer is literally begging him to intervene and even then he puts blame on the customer, annoyed that his team are correcting the fundamental errors as if they are doing us the customer a favour.
Get this - we have a social media app (or supposedly) that can only take 2000 users and an admin portal that doesn't store user data such as their email.
We spent in dollars 44K and we're spending another 40K correcting the source code to enable more users. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY!

FoodSnapp is a social media app similar to instagram but for food & drink, users can review restaurants and find places nearby to eat/drink using GPS location (even GPS location doesn't work properly)
Only completed because they refused to correct the fundamental parts of the app telling us constantly it was the customers fault they were spending unpaid time correcting things. They are rude and dismissive, just money grabbing. Since we parted way we have had a proper analysis of the source code and the fact they have produced a social media app that can only take 2000 users, that is so slow most of our users give up posting and an app whereby user data is not stored so we can't even send users an email, kind of defeats the purpose of our app.
Foodsnapp is a brilliant concept ruined by Sem Nexus, we are now with different developers correct the mess they have created which is costing us another 40K so legal action is in process.
One thing Sem Nexus are brilliant at is taking your $$

Nothing they were absolutely useless in every aspect of our project.

No technical expertise, way out of their depth, didn't even use the right coding

No communication, CTO rude and dismissive, tries to talk over you. CEO USELESS

No accountability for their errors, they just vilify the customer. We have now had experts analyse their work and quite frankly I'm appalled by them.

Legal action is required as they have breached terms and conditions in every way possible.

Mobile apps are all unique to a specific category. What works for a dating app will not be effective for a game, and vice versa. It's important to understand the estimated user acquisition cost, critical mass, ARPU, and geographic constraints of an app before proceeding with a strategy.

For one, we are not a digital marketing agency, we’re a mobile app marketing agency. The process, while similar, has a unique twist on almost every medium involved.

CPI, scope, and goals. Some apps just want to prove the concept, others want to go for gold. There’s also the niche: gig economy apps are so expensive even if you’re just trying to build a minimum active user base.
