Our collaboration with SENLA began in February 2016, focusing on developing a robust system that records a 360-degree view of a foot, processes the images on a server, and produces a 3D model for user visualization. SENLA's responsibilities included backend development in Java for AWS and the creation of an iPhone app using Objective-C. They also took charge of the app's design, proposing suggestions based on their previous experience. SENLA came highly recommended by a friend, and they lived up to the expectations. We provided them with a mockup of the core functionality we desired, and they responded with practical design suggestions and technical guidance. Working with their CTO, Victor, who also served as the project manager, and a team comprising two iOS developers and two backend developers, was a seamless experience. Victor ensured that the team thoroughly understood our requirements and provided valuable technical suggestions. The project progressed smoothly, and SENLA demonstrated agility by adding resources when necessary to meet deadlines. Their code quality was exceptional, which was evident from the positive feedback received from other developers who took over the project. Although the app hasn't been released to the public yet, the feedback from potential shoe company clients has been very positive, particularly regarding the clean user interface. SENLA’s original estimates were accurate, and their communication in English was effective during group calls. Despite having to halt the project in June 2016 due to funding constraints, the product is working reliably. We are now focusing on enhancing the backend algorithms, our area of expertise, and plan to release the app to the public within the next three months.

Our collaboration with SENLA began with the goal of working with a firm that deeply understands Salesforce communities, complex configurations, and development, and can seamlessly tie these elements to our web content. We faced challenges in creating graphical interfaces for managed service providers’ data developed in Salesforce. Although we had a mental concept of our desired outcome, we lacked detailed specifications. Opting for a time and materials basis for our collaboration allowed us to adaptively utilize various resources as needed, making our interaction highly effective. I initially discovered SENLA through unsolicited mail, and they quickly stood out as a cost-effective Salesforce development partner. Since partnering with them, our turnover has grown significantly, from £200,000 to £500,000. The automated engine they built has been instrumental in this growth, particularly by making it easy for people to filter cloud vendors. This feature has been invaluable, enhancing our profile within the cloud vendor community. Despite initial concerns about remote collaboration and potential language barriers, SENLA has exceeded all expectations. Their communication is as good as any local team I've worked with, and they utilize excellent tools for seamless collaboration, such as Google Docs for task tracking and electronic collaboration, and specialized tools for managing code, development, and testing. Whether we need quick solutions or structured, documented processes, SENLA delivers efficiently.

Our primary challenge was redesigning our CRM system to integrate seamlessly with Salesforce. This project involved a significant overhaul of the lead-to-client funnel, complicated by numerous customizations and legacy code accumulated over several years. With 400 internal users relying on the system 24/7, the changes had to be implemented meticulously. SENLA provided the high-quality Salesforce integration we needed. In the initial stage, SENLA's team focused on developing and redesigning the lead-to-client funnel. They managed the intricate task of modifying legacy code while maintaining system stability and functionality. Unfortunately, due to an NDA, I cannot share specific details about the workloads and functionalities realized, but their impact has been significant.

Our collaboration with SENLA began with a part-time consultant who set up our continuous integration and continuous delivery platform. As we needed a more robust and reliable system, SENLA provided a specialist who replaced our part-time consultant, handling the entire infrastructure, system administration, and Amazon cloud services, including EC2 computing, S3 storage, load balancing, and domain management. Additionally, an Android developer from SENLA worked on our mobile wallet, a critical component for our company's visibility and user-friendliness. Their efforts have made our mobile wallets among the most usable in the industry, significantly aiding user adoption. SENLA was recommended to us by mutual friends as a reliable contractor, and they have lived up to this reputation. Both the DevOps engineer and Android developer have been highly professional, allowing us to roll out high-quality products rapidly. Their proactive problem-solving and accessibility, even outside office hours, have been particularly impressive. I can completely rely on them, regardless of the time of day or the day of the week.

Our journey with SENLA began through a LinkedIn search for software development companies. After connecting via email and mutual visits, we quickly decided to work together. Our initial project was a small-scale software development task, which SENLA completed from scratch with no issues. This success led us to expand our collaboration to a Java team of about 15 engineers who have been working with us for two years. About a year ago, we started another project focused on mobile development and brought in QA engineers as well. Throughout our partnership, SENLA has demonstrated exceptional professionalism and hospitality. They are proactive in alerting us to any technological issues, and we collaboratively resolve any challenges that arise. We maintain clear communication through Skype, logging activities and working hours in Jira, and have direct communication between our teams. Regular travel and meetings, whether in person or virtual, ensure our collaboration remains personal and effective.

Our collaboration with SENLA involves a methodical approach to development. We provide our business requirements, and after a thorough design review, they conduct a business analysis. The design and technical aspects are discussed in detail before moving into the development phase. SENLA follows an agile methodology, with progress checks every one to two weeks. The team size fluctuates based on the development phase, with up to 16 people involved, including a project manager, business analyst, architect, backend developers, iOS and Android developers, and a QA team. As we transitioned into the stabilization phase, the team size has reduced. We chose SENLA due to their competitive pricing and their experience in banking and insurance. Their business analysts offer valuable insights based on their prior experience, enhancing the functionality of our app. Despite the project still being in progress, we are extremely satisfied with the product thus far. Communication is seamless, with daily interactions via Slack, email, WhatsApp, and Zoom. Weekly status meetings ensure everyone is aligned, and I am in regular contact with the CEO and delivery managers to address any issues promptly.

Our collaboration with SENLA involves running two-week agile sprints that include planning, execution, and demos, adhering to the typical agile process. The platform consists of multiple modules on both the front and backend. We provide "product solution design documents," and SENLA's product owner creates detailed specifications based on these documents. These specifications are then passed to our developers and QA team. SENLA's developers create the code with unit tests, and the QA team develops test cases. Additionally, SENLA has supplied CI-CD DevOps resources. I have worked with seven individuals from SENLA, including product owners, developers, and QA personnel. A local project manager from SENLA works directly with me, ensuring smooth communication and coordination. The process mirrors the efficiency I've experienced in large companies. Approaching SENLA for their expertise, we have received the necessary resources promptly, including DevOps and UI/UX specialists. I am confident in our ability to implement this platform with their support. Despite some challenges, SENLA's performance is comparable to that of our in-house teams.
