Our mission at Successive Technologies is to resolve challenging technical problems by partnering with its clientele to provide expert software engineering and consultancy services. We believe the coalesce of technology and knowledge helps people in making more informed decisions in any scenario.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
Our dedicated team model has resources working in-house to provide services to our global clientele who outsource their work to us. This enables us to foster better relationships with our customers that ideally last a lifetime.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies models?
Our business model gives leverage to our clients with cost-effective services. Since we work exclusively on the niche and latest technologies, adopting the Agile Development Cycle & Impart Methodology, it equips us to stay updated and help businesses grow by managing their operations effectively and efficiently with real-time data and information. Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app?
A number of parameters such as design requisites, desired app features & custom add-ons along with their complexities, functional capabilities, etc. play a crucial role in determining the timeframe of developing a mobile app. Other frameworks, like mode of development, server costs, and project architecture, play a decisive part too.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
There is no definitive answer to this question, as no two apps are alike. In some cases, you just need a backend to store or share the data simply in predictable ways. In this, the backend would take probably only 10-15 % of the overall efforts. However, at times, your front end is just rendering all the functionality stored in your backend to your users. Under such conditions, the application’s development could be 30% of the overall efforts with the backend covering the most part.
What’s for sure though is that both frontend and backend development needs to run synchronously to make sure that the app development is carried out as smoothly as possible and all its components work perfectly with each other to create a great user experience.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
There are plenty of factors one needs to be mindful of before selecting the platform for your app. Ideally, you should take into account criteria, like the timeline of your project, your target audience’s geographic and demographic characteristics, and desired features when deciding which platform to develop for first. This would help you achieve your revenue goals with the application. Familiarize yourself with the pros and cons of developing on both the platforms and evaluate it against the metrics which are your priorities, like key elements, ease of development, testing environment, payment procedures, etc. to make an informed choice.
Which platform do you suggest your clients begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
Addressing questions like who your user persona is, the platform’s popularity in their country, the features they want, along with the development time, and budget constraints would help determine whether you should build an app for Android or iOS e.g., if you’re targeting emerging markets like Asia and Latin America, then Android is your best bet. Similarly, if a major part of your users is in countries like the US, it would make sense to build your app on iOS. Eventually, it’s all about keeping your customers as the focal point if you want to gain leverage over your competitors. Ideally, you need to build a minimum viable product quickly and inexpensively on your initial platform to cater to your audience comprehensively. Once you’ve worked out the features and built a considerable user base on your initial platform, you’ll find it easier for users on the other platform to begin clamoring for a version of your app.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
It is important to identify your primary objectives when considering the platform for your app. Determinants like required security level, whether you want to monetize your app directly by not allowing free downloads, or allowing in-app purchases along with other such factors, play an essential role in deciding what platform is best suited for your app.

It is also crucial to consider your customer’s requirements along with yours. Although we are proficient in both cross-platform and native app development, I would recommend building an app that is specific to the platform your audience uses extensively. Native apps seem far superior in terms of performance & user experience, whereas cross-platform ones are preferred for B2B apps where deployment time and cost-effectiveness are the principal factors.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
There are several determinants that ascertain the cost of a mobile application including the mode and platform for development as each platform has its own programming intricacies which demand varying amounts and type of work for that specific platform. The key features and functionalities that drive high-quality user experience along with its design requirements, impact the expenditure too. There are several other parameters like app security, custom add-ons, server costs, architecture, and API, etc. that one needs to bear in mind when deciding upon the cost of a mobile application.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions, etc.)
Successive Technologies offer customers a fixed cost model when the scope and specifications of the project are reasonably clear. Under this low-risk model, we work with clients to define expected deliverables and timelines for the determination of a mutually-agreed fixed price. Our refined process guarantees reliability, predictability and optimized performance of the projects and assures on-time and on-budget outcomes.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Yes, we do have a basic budget requirement we adhere to while selecting the projects. However, our primary aim is to ensure that the client is an optimal match for us to help us maintain good synchronization and relationships throughout the project lifecycle and beyond. Thus, we have worked with various startups, MSEs, and Fortune 500 companies and focus more on the socioeconomic impact that the project would create than the budget.

The minimum evaluation of the project we worked upon was around $10,000, and the upper threshold value was $2M.

Business Objective

Innovative queue management was an idea to help people and F&B owners eliminate the possibility of waiting outside or around a restaurant, art gallery, or other queue demanding to book seats. We functioned it into a working UI by designing and executing a virtual queue management system interface for customers, vendors, and over-the-counter employees.

Business Challenge

  1. Multi-level interface - The application had to be cleverly designed to help both customers and vendors register and employ the interface in their day-to-day endeavors.
  2. Just An Idea - Since the application was at a benign stage, predicting the workflow of the interface was difficult. Plus, successful templates of similar ideas were next to none. So, starting from scratch was the only option.
  3. Database management - Managing both user and vendor data was a task in addition to delivering a system that allowed easy sequencing of seats and virtual booking.

We assisted Clever Queue with a comprehensive solution that functioned at three distinct levels. Customers could use the UI to register and enter a virtual queue, vendors registered their business, and On-site employees also had access to move customers from in queue to next up and seated.

The pandemic forced a lot of businesses to bring about revolutionary changes into their workflow, including Tax Magic. We helped this Canada-based Chartered Accounting firm shift their entire business process of helping clients fill and file taxes online.

We collaborated with one of the world's leading advertising and media companies to help them streamline their collection of applications and deliver a one-stop solution to their content management style. The company required a streamlined content management system that reduced manual dependency and provided a robust storage system for static data. Finding a CMS solution that worked across all their applications was our primary concern.

The experience has been incredible with successive digital. The best part is, they know what they are doing. The website of the Virgill Normal was designed keeping in mind all the features we ever wanted. Especially the theme of the brand has been kept aligned with what we do and sell. There were constant communications and constant updates on what was going on with the project. The website is user-friendly and can easily track the entire user journey. The seamless integration helps us in tracking and reducing the rate of abandoned carts and purchases made. They are currently handling our eCommerce mobile app project and constantly keeping us in the loop which is a good thing about their working style.

We wanted to enhance our online presence by moving our business of men’s clothing and home products beyond the physical store to the digital world. Thus, we partnered with Successive Digital for eCommerce website and mobile development. For this, we wanted Responsive UI/UX Design, User-Friendly Navigation, Multiple Security Features, a custom Shopping Cart and Checkout page, Multiple Payment Options, and Detailed Shipping and Return Analytics. We also wanted to enable omnichannel selling. Hence, we asked them to build a website and app keeping this requirement in mind.
