We have been working with TeaCode.io for many years on various projects, successfully meeting our development requirements. We oversee the design aspect of each project while TeaCode.io developers build the product, functioning as an extension of our team. One notable project included creating an application for students to apply for loan financing. Essentially, this project was extensive and TeaCode.io effectively oversaw all aspects.

Teacode was able to scope the project, stay within a committed budget and work through some natural development changes. There was a transition between PMs that could have slowed us down- but it was very well managed and we didnt skip a beat. The MVP funcitons well and is allowing us to gain traction with users and investors.

Please provide your feedback on how GoodFirms has contributed to increasing your visibility among potential clients.

Goodfirms has been an excellent platform for us to showcase our expertise to a wider audience. By being visible in a trusted directory, we have the opportunity to reach clients who might not have discovered us elsewhere. The platform helps communicate our focus on AI expertise, technical proficiency, and full-cycle development services, reinforcing our credibility in the market.

Please introduce your company and describe your role within the organization.

TeaCode is a custom software development partner focused on efficient, scalable, and well-architected solutions. We combine AI-assisted development, modern technologies, and vast engineering expertise (including a PhD-level expertise in the AI field) to deliver software that creates real business value.

We work as a technology partner rather than a vendor, supporting and advising our clients from architecture and technology selection through design, development, and long-term system evolution. Our approach ensures that applications are not only technically solid but also easy to use, visually refined, and built to convert and engage end users. We always take both short-term delivery goals and long-term business objectives into account.

We often challenge our clients’ initial ideas when needed, not to slow things down, but to help them build solutions that genuinely support their business goals, rather than simply implementing features that don’t deliver real value. This allows us to reduce risk early and design architectures that scale efficiently without unnecessary complexity or cost growth.

As CTO and co-founder, I’m responsible for technical strategy, architecture, and development standards, ensuring that every solution we deliver is efficient, maintainable, and aligned with our clients’ long-term business goals.

What inspired the founding of your company, and what is the story behind its inception?

TeaCode started as an organic journey. During our final years at university, my co-founder and I began developing websites and mobile applications for friends and family. The demand quickly grew, and we realized we had a unique opportunity to turn our passion into a professional venture. What began as small projects evolved into forming a company, assembling a team, and steadily expanding our client base. The company’s growth has been remarkable, but it has always been rooted in the same principles of quality and reliability, and mutual support within the team.

What are the core values and principles that drive your company's culture, and how do you ensure alignment with these values across your team?

Our culture is deeply rooted in our background as software engineers. Technical excellence is at the heart of what we do. We always look for ways to improve our efficiency, whether it is through the use of modern technologies, AI-augmented development, limiting overhead, or keeping things simple.

We cultivate a culture organically: we lead by example, work closely with our team, and encourage initiative. Alignment comes naturally because we emphasize practical results, collaboration, and a shared commitment to high-quality software delivery.

Can you highlight some of the key achievements or milestones your company has accomplished since its inception?

Our journey at TeaCode has never been about chasing a single big milestone. It’s been about steady, cumulative growth of many small achievements. Success is mostly evident from a long-term perspective.

Back in the mid 2010s, we were just doing software development services for a couple of clients. Over the years, we didn’t just maintain that standard, but we expanded our capabilities, grew a dedicated in-house team, and scaled our operations without ever compromising on quality.

Today, we provide end-to-end software development services for over 15 active clients, spanning web applications, mobile apps, e-commerce platforms, and enterprise systems.

Could you explain your company's business model? Do you primarily operate with an in-house team or utilize third-party vendors/outsourcing?

We've built an in-house team, occasionally supported by carefully selected freelancers who are fully aligned with our values and approach. It’s a strategic choice that allows us to maintain full control over quality, timelines, and technical consistency. Every engineer, designer, and QA specialist on our team is excellent, dedicated, and deeply familiar with our approach and our preferred technologies. This creates a repeatable, high-quality workflow that is difficult to achieve with external partners.

We do occasionally collaborate with specialized agencies, but only when a project requires highly specific expertise that complements our own capabilities. Even then, these partnerships are carefully selected to ensure that the level of quality and alignment with our processes remains uncompromised.

Our business model also emphasizes technical specialization over breadth for its own sake. We focus on a defined set of technologies for different application types, such as web apps, mobile apps, e-commerce, and enterprise systems. This allows us to deliver solutions faster, more efficiently, and at a higher standard than competitors who spread themselves too thin.

This combination of in-house talent, careful technology selection, and selective partnerships is what makes our model resilient, scalable, and highly reliable for clients.

How does your company differentiate itself from competitors in the industry?

Every project is handled end-to-end by people who understand the architecture, design, and long-term vision of the product. This allows us to deliver robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions that consistently meet clients’ expectations without compromise.

Our methodology emphasizes repeatable, production-ready processes in a defined set of technologies. By focusing deeply on a select suite of tools for web, mobile, e-commerce, and enterprise systems, we achieve a level of efficiency and quality that competitors with broader, less focused approaches cannot match.

Equally important is our commitment to practical innovation. We adopt new technologies and practices only when they directly enhance performance, maintainability, or user experience, ensuring clients receive solutions that are both cutting-edge and reliable.

The result is a combination of technical mastery, operational consistency, and forward-looking problem-solving, which allows our clients to scale their businesses confidently.

How would you describe the dynamics within your team, and how do you foster collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals?

Our team is proactive, collaborative, supportive, and aligned around problem-solving. We create an environment where people willingly help each other, share knowledge, and take initiative. This dynamic fosters accountability and drives our collective success.

What measures do you take to support the professional development and growth of your employees? Do you offer training programs or opportunities for skill enhancement?

We don’t force anything. We believe the best learning comes from solving real-life problems. When new technologies or challenges arise, our team has the space to experiment, learn, and apply new knowledge directly to projects. This hands-on approach keeps skills sharp and continuously evolving.

At the same time, professional growth is encouraged as a natural, ongoing process. Team members are free to pursue courses, certifications, or training that interest them, and we support these initiatives whenever they align with individual or team goals. Knowledge sharing is also embedded into our workflow - through code reviews, presentations, and collaborative problem-solving - so everyone benefits from new insights.

Could you share a notable success story or case study that exemplifies the impact your company has had on a client's business?

We focus on building software that not only works but actually moves the needle for the business. There are three stories that I think capture this best:

First, there’s Paymi, a Canadian fintech leader. They came to us with a massive challenge: they needed to modernize their mobile experience and performance under a brutal three-week deadline. One key thing to understand about Paymi is that users don't pay with the app; instead, we built a secure system that registers transactions directly from linked bank cards. We completely overhauled the architecture, which allowed us to slash the app size by 80% (from 100MB to 20MB) and drastically improve load times. Today, we continue to support them with weekly updates, ensuring the product scales as their user base grows.

Then there’s Plannin, a travel planning platform, that needed a full product built from scratch that could handle real-time trip data and personalized recommendations. They wanted a product that didn't just list hotels but empowered influencers. Our approach focused on building a scalable, maintainable MVP that could evolve based on user behavior. We designed the architecture and integrated social and content aggregation features. We also developed a custom AI-driven solution that allows creators to turn their video content, from TikTok or YouTube, into interactive trip plans in minutes. Our AI analyzes the video transcripts, identifies the locations mentioned, and automatically plots them on a map. This feature turned their creators into an organic growth engine. As a result, the platform saw 70% month-over-month revenue growth and a 30% increase in bookings within months of launch.

Finally, look at Buzzin. The challenge here was to transform a visionary concept for touchless visitor management into a reliable, production-ready solution. We built the product from scratch, guiding the architecture, UX, and system design, while challenging initial assumptions to ensure the solution would meet real operational needs on the ground. This foundation allowed the client to move from a proof-of-concept to full adoption. Today, we continue to expand the system as we conquer international markets, scaling from the UAE into Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. In 2023 alone, the platform saw an incredible 717% growth in building coverage in comparison to the previous year.

In all three cases, the success was about understanding the market need, challenging assumptions, and building something that could scale globally. That’s what we do.

What industries do you primarily cater to, and do you have a significant percentage of repeat clients? If so, what is the ratio of repeat clients?

We do not have a primary industry we focus on. Our specialization is in technology and the solutions we provide, which span multiple sectors. Although I cannot share the exact ratio, our client base grows constantly. We have many long-term, repeat clients who trust our expertise and rely on us for ongoing development and system evolution, including BTS, Paymi, and Buzzin, reflecting the trust they place in our knowledge and partnership.

What initiatives does your company undertake to foster innovation and stay at the forefront of industry trends? Do you invest in research and development projects?

At TeaCode, innovation happens in the context of the work itself. We have our preferred ways, but whenever we start a new project, we look at the problem, the client’s requirements, and the technical constraints, and we look for approaches that could make the solution more efficient or maintainable.

We also learn from every project we complete. Over time, this creates a kind of living knowledge base within the team - practical, hands-on, and directly applicable to the next project.

Innovation, for us, is about asking questions like: Can this component be simpler? Can this system scale without major rewrites? Can we spot potential bottlenecks before they happen? These are the kinds of improvements that accumulate over time and make our work more reliable and efficient.

Please share some of the most sought-after services that clients approach your company for.

Web app and AI development are among our most requested services, followed by mobile development. But we’re never just a development team executing tasks - we act as a strategic partner.

Clients value us because we bring deep technical knowledge and practical know-how that directly shape their business decisions. We help them refine the product, anticipate challenges, and identify opportunities that extend far beyond coding. Our input often affects architecture choices, workflow optimization, and long-term scalability.

Because of this expertise, our team is irreplaceable in delivering complex projects, and clients rely on us not only for execution but for guidance and problem-solving at every stage of development. In practice, that means the solutions we deliver are more reliable, scalable, and aligned with strategic business goals than what a typical contractor could provide.

How do you build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, and what mechanisms do you have in place for gathering and acting upon client feedback?

We maintain strong relationships through direct, transparent communication. Each project is assigned to a dedicated team that interacts with the client regularly via calls, progress updates, and design or technical reviews.

Feedback is continuous and acted on immediately. That’s how we build trust, accountability, and long-term partnerships.

How has your company adapted to changes and challenges in the business landscape, and what strategies have you employed to ensure resilience and sustainability?

Adaptation at TeaCode is proactive and iterative. Each new project gives us an opportunity to review our processes, integrate better tools, and optimize workflows.

What payment structure do you typically follow when billing clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, or Pay per Milestone (phases, months, versions, etc.)?

We primarily use Time & Materials or milestone-based billing, depending on the project and client preference. Time & Materials is suited for projects where the scope may evolve, while milestone-based payments work for clearly defined deliverables.
Transparency is critical: clients receive detailed reporting on hours, progress, and any deviations from the plan. This ensures accountability, predictability, and trust throughout the collaboration.

Do you accept projects that meet your basic budget requirements? If yes, what is the minimum budget requirement? If no, what is the minimum budget you have worked with in the past?

We do not set a minimum budget. Many collaborations start small, which allows both sides to build trust, understand working styles, and establish a foundation for long-term engagement.

Can you provide an overview of the price range (minimum and maximum) of the projects your company worked on in 2024?

Projects ranged from a few thousand USD to 600k USD, depending on scope, complexity, and client requirements.

What technological capabilities does your company possess, and are there any ongoing or planned investments in technology infrastructure or tools to enhance your services?

We invest continuously in development tooling, infrastructure, and internal standards. This includes modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, cloud-based environments, and AI-assisted development tools that help us improve code quality and development efficiency.

We also treat technology choices as a strategic responsibility. For each project, we assess scalability, performance, and operational complexity upfront, so clients benefit from decisions that reduce technical debt and operational risk over time. Our investments in tools and infrastructure directly support this approach, enabling us to deliver solutions that have a real, measurable impact on our clients’ businesses, not just technically correct implementations.

Where do you envision your company in the next 10 years? What are your long-term goals and aspirations for growth and development?

10 years - not sure, however, in 5 years I want to continue on the path we have taken: identify new opportunities, come up with a preferred approach to solve the niche challenges, and improve. My hope is for us to have 2-3 business units/areas in which we have a strong market position.
