What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

Most of our business model is through in-house team as we are having 100+ highly
skilled Sales, Pre-sales, Designers, Developers, Quality Analyst, Business Analyst,
Project Mangers, etc to get the leads and convert into a revenue model.
We won’t outsource projects.

How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?

As we are following the in-house business model for our projects, we are getting
beneficial from a value addition perspective to clients as all our teams are working
together in-house instead of relying on some other vendors. Our team will take care entire of the software development life cycle: Requirement gathering - Design - Development- Testing - Implementation - Maintenance. Most of the companies don’t follow all the phases of the cycle as they will outsource few phases or their team may be separated by continents. With the business model we are following, we could ensure proper communication and 100 % guaranteed satisfactory output to all our clients.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

We are catering to all industries particularly on-demand business like Uber-like
models, few of other industries that we are catering is Fashion, Food Delivery, Hotels and some government industries too.

Yes, most of our customers will do repetitive business. They will be attracted to our
maintenance and support services. The support services include deploying Network Operation Centre (NOC) for their projects, do live traffic monitoring of their applications, scale up the server, make sure the server won’t down due to heavy traffic or some unexpected situation. By this way, our clients can cater their users seamlessly.

We have many clients having multiple projects with us and they are happy with all of those. In turn, some of our clients will refer us to their friends and known circles.
Considering the Ratio, we could consider 80 % of our clients do repetitive business
with us.

Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.

The main objective and time frame is completely based on the client requirements and urgency from the client to launch the project in live. Based on the client requirement we will create project plan considering the availability of the resource, however if the client is urgent of developing and launching the application soon means we could able to deploy some additional resources and fulfill the client needs.

How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?

Back end of the application is normally web application connected to the database
and front is the UI/UX where the end customers are experiencing. We cannot define the effort needed for developing front end and back end of a mobile app by default, it will be based on the requirement of the project. For some projects, attractive UI or graphic may not be needed but requires strong database to handle the large volume of data. For some projects client will require advance UI and high graphic to attract customers and it may not have strong back end to handle complex tasks.

Generally, for most of the projects, we could consider the effort as 2:1 for developing the front end and back end of a mobile app.

What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?

It is completely based on the client requirement and budget. Mostly we prefer native platform for both android and iOS application development as it is Robust when compared to Hybrid. For hybrid platform, we are using Flutter to develop mobile applications.

Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?

It’s based on the client target market, functionality of the application and budget as well. For example, if the client wants to launch the business in Asian countries like India, Philippines, Indonesia and most of the African countries we are suggesting our clients go with Android application first and iOS next, as most of the end-users of the applications are Android users, unlike Americans and Europeans. If the client has enough budget to attract all end users we can suggest him to both Android and iOS.

Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?

We are recommending to go with Native android and iOS application development
as it has better performance, more secure, more interactive and intuitive, more
flexibility and more options to customize.

What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?

Firstly, the functionalities and platform of the application, if the application has no
complex functionalities we could estimate normal charges to the client.

Secondly, client requirement. For example, the client wants more experienced
resources to work on his project, then we need to do costing considering the salary of the experienced resource.

Thirdly, timeline. If the client wants the application to be developed and launched
within short span of time, we need to go with extra cost as we are forcing to add more resources into the project.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

We do follow all payment structure mentioned above.
Fixed cost - For small budget projects we do fixed projects with payment split of two terms, upfront of before starting the project and final payment during the launch of the project.
Pay per Milestone - For medium and large projects we do split the client requirements in multiple milestone/deliverables/phases and go with payments as per the milestone.
Monthly - This payment structure is mainly followed for the agile projects, as the
client will keep on changing the requirements or adding new customization tasks. In this case we will dedicate a team to work based on the client inputs and do billing month wise.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

Yes, considering the overhead costs which include resource, infrastructure,
government taxation, operational we have a certain minimum budget for all our
projects. We can’t say the minimum budget simply without knowing the requirement.
Considering in the case simple CMS website developing in Wordpress we are charging $750 which includes 6 months free maintenance service.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?

Minimum - $750
Maximum - $100,000+

Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?

Initially, I will suggest my clients to go with Freemium model, by giving the service as free of cost to create awareness of the availability of the app and to know our services.
Later we can go with payment models like In-app purchase, subscription, pay per
service, etc.
