Business Services

The Client
JTW Accountants are a Gladstone-based accounting and business advisory firm for modern small to medium businesses, offering business advice, tax and accounting services, and superannuation accounting support.

The Project
Jeremy from JTW Accountants approached us to create a professional site ahead of officially launching the business. He wanted to make sure he could be found online by ideal clients and connect with those that would be the best fit for his approach. It was important that the site’s content would help reduce the time spent answering new client questions and manually booking appointments — and be easy to update in the future if services, legislation, or something else changed. It was also important to Jeremy that the brand would look modern and unique from the many stale/bland accounting websites out there.

The Solution
To design the site, we used visual cues from the JTW Accountants logo, as well as Jeremy’s interests, professional approach, and the local area. In particular, Jeremy is passionate about Lego (when he’s not geeking out over accounting things!), so we subtly incorporated this into the design, instantly adding personality to the brand. The content was equally influenced by Jeremy’s own voice, his target audience, and target keywords for SEO. We created a home page, about page, services page, contact page, appointment booking form, and blog. This included some mini case studies and various client testimonials to help build trust.

Education

The Client
Based in Queensland, Get Set Education is an RTO that specialises in flexible school-based training packages and nationally recognised business courses tailored for high school students.

The Project
Having DIYed the first few versions of their website, Get Set were ready to upgrade to a more professional website, and reached out to The Digital Brew to start planning the project. Their goals included showing up on Google for course-related keywords, ensuring the brand would appeal to all their audiences (and stand out from clunky/unappealing competitor sites), and clearly explain their different options.

The Solution
After Get Set had their logo refreshed by a local graphic designer, we used this to develop an eye-catching design that included peach and orange tones. We refreshed and added to the existing content, creating landing pages for Get Set’s courses and training packages, along with info for teachers, students, and university pathways.Because there was such a lot of information (and some of it quite complex), we opted to convert the FAQs page into a Knowledgebase, giving Get Set Education scope to build on this in future. We also created a Resources page which is currently being used to link to pdfs like a student handbook, but could also be used for other purposes in future. We worked with Get Set Education’s student platform provider to include their application and enquiry forms, ensuring that any information collected would go straight into their student management system.

Other Industries

The Project
After creating their own website initially, Hammer & Shine were keen to update the design and add to the content, with the help of The Digital Brew. Their goals included standing out from the competition, showcasing their professionalism, increasing their qualified leads from Google, and promoting their services (which had recently changed).

The Solution
We started the project with local keyword research because we knew that this would influence the direction of the site — particularly the services pages. We opted to create one main services page that would talk about their overall expertise in structural landscaping, and two subpages for the services they most wanted to focus on (with the potential to add more down the track). In addition, we created the home page, about page, contact page, and a quote form.
The design took cues from the existing logo with its golden hued gradient, balancing this with a dark background and white fonts. We incorporated Hammer & Shine’s photos throughout the site to visually showcase their capabilities. To build trust, we incorporated a number of testimonials, partner logos, and the brand’s story.
