What is the story behind starting this company?
The story behind starting Vinta is one of shared vision and a deep belief in the transformative power of software engineering. In May 2013, I and two other fellow developers from Recife, Brazil, united with a common goal: to establish a software development business that transcended the conventional boundaries of coding.
In essence, the company's journey began with a profound belief in the human aspect of software engineering and a commitment to helping businesses realize their product visions through technology. We're a 10-year-old software house with a proven track record of success. We have worked with numerous clients across a wide range of industries, gaining a wealth of experience in solving complex technical challenges, saving time, and reducing risks.

Lastly, our extensive expertise allows us to manage technical debt proactively, easing the long-term burden on our clients and allowing them to focus on core features and business goals.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
A substantial portion of our client base came from the Retail and Fintech sectors. However, our expertise extends beyond these domains, having successfully collaborated with clients from diverse industries, including Legal, Education, Marketing, Real Estate, Supply Chain, and Blockchain. We're pretty flexible and can tackle different industries' needs.

We recognize that continuous improvement is vital. That's why we actively engage in product discovery and maintain proactive feedback loops. When it comes to supporting our clients' queries and concerns, we've got a robust system in place. We're strong proponents of an async-first approach, emphasizing efficient communication and collaboration. However, we're just a message away when our clients need us most.
For communication, we like to utilize Slack, Clickup, and Jira. These tools provide us with clear channels and regular updates, allowing us to overcome any potential barriers and ensure transparent communication.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We work with competitive hourly rates based on the professional's role and seniority level. In terms of payment, we generate monthly invoices solely based on the team's actual hours worked. To keep transparency, we share a regular report with a detailed breakdown of the team's hours and non-worked days. Payments are facilitated through international wire transfers.
Do you take in projects that meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, what minimum budget you have worked for?
We are flexible when it comes to taking on projects, and our decision is influenced by various factors, primarily the project's profile and its strategic value. We don't have a strict minimum budget requirement, as we assess each project on a case-by-case basis.
Our approach is to evaluate the project's scope, complexity, timeline, and alignment with our expertise and strategic goals. If a project holds significant strategic value, even if it falls below what might be considered a standard budget threshold, we may still consider it. Conversely, a project with a larger budget may not be accepted if it doesn't align with our core competencies or strategic objectives.
Our goal is to ensure that any project we undertake has a reasonable budget that allows us to deliver a high-quality solution while also meeting the client's objectives. We prioritize a collaborative approach where we work closely with clients to understand their needs and tailor our services accordingly.

In 2022, our projects typically fell within a specific price range to ensure that we could deliver high-quality solutions while meeting the needs of our clients. Our minimum budget threshold for projects in 2022 was in the range of $15,000 to $30,000. It's important to note that project budgets can vary significantly based on factors such as the complexity of the solution, the industry, the size of the client's organization, and specific project requirements. Our approach was to work closely with clients to determine their project's unique needs and then provide a budget estimate that aligned with those needs and our commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

We do not aspire to become a large corporation in the next 10 years; our primary focus remains on ensuring the quality of the software we deliver. Our vision for the coming decade centers on continuous improvement and maintaining relevance in our market, all while earning recognition from our valued customers.
