What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

The quality of the developers, team and culture at Vivasoft is unmatched. They truly act like they are with you on the 'startup journey' and with both Founders having entrepreneurial experience of their own - it was great to have some guidance along the way.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Vivasoft is a very involved partner - they don't take a back seat. I personally loved this aspect of working with them, but others may feel that it is a little bit too much. That said, the startup road is a long and lonely one, so any Founder should consider friends along the way a massive bonus.

Wellteam offers users personalized wellness programs by analyzing key areas of their lives. The platform covers six key wellness themes - Mind, Body, Movement, Purpose, People, and Fuel - via a user-centric survey.

1. Static Platform: The Wix-based website was static, unresponsive and lacked flexibility, leading to a poor user experience.

2. No Email Automation: Lack of automated emails for important communications such as program reminders, onboarding, and subscription renewals.

Please introduce your company and describe your role within the organization.
We co-founded Vivasoft Limited in 2016. We started small in Bangladesh, but from day one our goal was clear: build reliable, high-quality software for global businesses. Over the years, we’ve grown to a team of more than 300, and we’ve delivered projects for clients across industries and continents.

As a co-founder, my role is pretty hands-on. I look after day-to-day operations, make sure our projects run smoothly, and stay close to our clients. I also get involved in technical R&D because we believe innovation should start at the top. My job is to keep us moving forward and delivering great software while creating lasting partnerships.
What inspired the founding of your company, and what is the story behind its inception?
The idea for Vivasoft came from an experience my co-founder, Shafiul, and I shared. We worked at a Swedish company based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. What struck us was their work culture. It was open, respectful, and inspiring, something we hadn’t seen much in Bangladesh.
We wanted to build a company with that kind of culture, where people enjoy what they do and grow while creating great software.

In 2016, that company had a big layoff. Shafiul wasn’t affected, but he took it as a sign and decided to start Vivasoft anyway. He set up the company in a tiny rooftop office with just two rooms. A couple of years later, I joined him full-time. That was the start.

We didn’t have a big strategy back then. Just a vision that combines a great work culture with high-quality software development. That vision is still what drives us today.
What are the core values and principles that drive your company's culture, and how do you ensure alignment with these values across your team?
Our culture is built on four core values - ownership, quality, freedom, and respect. We believe every team member should take responsibility for their work, strive for excellence, and feel empowered to make decisions, all while maintaining mutual respect.

To ensure alignment with these values, we rely on open communication. For us, communication isn’t just about giving directions; it’s about listening. We listen to our team members, provide guidance and constructive feedback, and support their growth. This culture of transparency and collaboration ensures our values aren’t just words on paper but are reflected in everything we do.
Can you highlight some of the key achievements or milestones your company has accomplished since its inception?
Our journey began in 2016 in a small rooftop office with just two rooms. Today, we’ve grown into a leading technology firm in the heart of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and a world-class team of 300+ skilled software engineers.

Could you explain your company's business model? Do you primarily operate with an in-house team or utilize third-party vendors/outsourcing?
We operate under two main models. They are:
  • Staff Augmentation: We provide highly skilled professionals who seamlessly integrate with our clients’ teams as an extension of their workforce.
  • Project-Based Development: We take full responsibility for delivering end-to-end software projects with clear milestones and deliverables.
Importantly, all our work is done entirely in-house. We never rely on third-party vendors or outsourcing. This ensures confidentiality, security, and uncompromised quality in everything we deliver.
How does your company differentiate itself from competitors in the industry?
When we started Vivasoft, we wanted to do things differently. We wanted every project to feel like it’s ours. That means taking full ownership and making sure the work meets high standards. Our software engineers blend naturally with the client’s team. They don’t just work for the client; they work with them, almost like part of their company. We've seen how this mindset creates real partnerships. Our goal is always the same: deliver maximum value and make a real impact.
How would you describe the dynamics within your team, and how do you foster collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals?
We have always wanted Vivasoft to feel like a place where people enjoy working. Our culture is built on friendliness, flexibility, and ownership. We encourage everyone to speak openly and respect each other. Most of our team works in-house, so we talk directly, have regular meetings, and share updates often.

We also like to organize mentorship sessions and knowledge-sharing moments between juniors and seniors. Because we believe people grow faster when they learn from each other, and that’s the energy we try to keep alive every day.
What measures do you take to support the professional development and growth of your employees? Do you offer training programs or opportunities for skill enhancement?
We want every person at Vivasoft to keep growing. That’s why we offer training programs, mentorship, and support for certifications like AWS, GCP, and Microsoft. We make sure our team has everything they need to stay ahead and contribute meaningfully to projects. Watching my team members learn new skills and take on challenges motivates me every day. For us, their growth is as important as the success of the company.
Could you share a notable success story or case study that exemplifies the impact your company has had on a client's business?
We have been fortunate to work with some incredible clients over the years. While I can’t pick just one story, I’ve seen our work create real impact. We partner with multibillion-dollar companies across different industries.

For example, we work with three unicorns from around the world. Two of them are fintech giants, and another one is an adtech leader. For each, we provide 30 to 40 engineers who integrate seamlessly with their teams. They don’t just fill roles; they become trusted partners in development.

We also collaborated with two telecom giants to help them achieve their technology goals efficiently. Seeing such high-profile companies rely on us speaks volumes. For us, every successful integration and every satisfied client is a success story in itself.
What industries do you primarily cater to, and do you have a significant percentage of repeat clients? If so, what is the ratio of repeat clients?
We mainly work with clients in Fintech, AdTech, and Telecommunications. A large part of our business comes from referrals, which tells me we’ve built real trust. Around 90% of our clients are repeat clients, and many have been with us for several years. That long-term partnership is what we value the most. It shows we’re doing things right.
What initiatives does your company undertake to foster innovation and stay at the forefront of industry trends? Do you invest in research and development projects?
We have made innovation a core part of Vivasoft. That’s why we have a dedicated research and development team. Their job is to explore new technologies, tools, and frameworks. And recently, AI-driven solutions. We test these ideas, apply them to our workflows, and bring them into client projects when they make sense. We believe experimentation is how we stay ahead. For me, innovation isn’t just a department. It’s part of how we think and work every day.
Please share some of the most sought-after services that clients approach your company for.
Most clients come to us to optimize and scale their systems. Many want to expand their development teams in a cost-effective way. We often see businesses struggle with system performance and scalability. We help them modernize, improve their platforms, and support growth.

At the same time, many rely on our IT staff augmentation. Our engineers step in, work closely with in-house teams, and deliver results that matter. For us, seeing our people make that kind of difference is the most rewarding part of the job.
How do you build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, and what mechanisms do you have in place for gathering and acting upon client feedback?
For us, building strong client relationships comes down to trust and open communication. We make sure we stay in touch through regular meetings, progress updates, and direct channels whenever needed. We listen carefully to feedback on project outcomes and the performance of our augmented teams.

More importantly, we act quickly on what we hear. If adjustments are needed, we make them. If improvements can be made, we implement them. We want our clients to feel heard and supported at every step.
How has your company adapted to changes and challenges in the business landscape, and what strategies have you employed to ensure resilience and sustainability?
The biggest change for us was the rise of AI (Artificial Intelligence). Thanks to our skilled team and our mindset of continuous innovation, we adapted quickly. We started integrating AI into our development processes, which helped us build smarter and faster solutions for our clients. To stay resilient and sustainable, we focus on investing in research and development, building skills across the team, and keeping our delivery models flexible. This way, we can face changes head-on and keep delivering value, no matter how the industry changes.
What payment structure do you typically follow when billing clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, or Pay per Milestone (phases, months, versions, etc.)?
We try to keep our payment structure simple and fair. For staff augmentation, we bill monthly based on the number of engineers we provide. And for project-based work, we follow a milestone approach, where clients pay as we complete phases or deliverables. We believe this structure keeps everyone aligned and ensures smooth progress throughout the project.
Do you accept projects that meet your basic budget requirements? If yes, what is the minimum budget requirement? If no, what is the minimum budget you have worked with in the past?
We only take on projects where we can deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Vivasoft Limited doesn't compromise on quality just to fit a smaller budget. That’s why we set our standard minimum project budget at $50,000 USD. But for unique or innovative AI ideas, we are flexible. If the project is complex or groundbreaking, we find ways to adjust the budget so we can support cutting-edge solutions while still keeping our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.
Can you provide an overview of the price range (minimum and maximum) of the projects your company worked on in 2024?
In 2024, we delivered projects ranging from $50,000 to $400,000 USD. For clients using our staff augmentation services, the value went from $100,000 to over $1,000,000 USD. We see this as proof that we can handle both mid-sized and large-scale projects. It also shows we can build long-term collaborations that really work for our clients.
