Webamboos

We brought Webamboos in to build the billing infrastructure for our AI platform: a usage-metering layer over Stripe, in the spirit of Lago, covering subscription plans, token tracking, and credit-based pricing where a credit pool maps to feature tiers — a budget that buys either a few premium deep-research runs or many lighter ones. They owned the full build, including how we'd host and configure it on our end. The way they worked was the standout. Weekly one-hour meetings run as proper sprints — genuinely agile, no debate that drifts. The CTO was consistently prepared and did the homework when something needed deeper analysis. The loop stayed clean throughout: I gave direction, they analyzed requirements and came back with recommendations, I decided. Kind people, organized, and the work shipped smoothly start to finish.

I had a good experience working with the Webamboos team to build our MVP. We also plan to scale based on this MVP, and they delivered solid work. Raluca, our product manager, did a wonderful job. She's detail-oriented with years of experience and knows what she's doing. She even used her expertise to suggest improvements for our product, which I really appreciated. I also worked with Maxim, Arpad, Alice, Alex, and Mihai throughout the project. They are all very communicative, structured, professional, and highly technical. I needed to start the project quickly and reach out to them because I knew about their work beforehand and heard only positives. I needed this project to be built by experienced engineers and did not have the luxury of time. Also, it was a project where accuracy was paramount. Of course that put a bit of pressure on the team, because fast and good is kind of a pipe dream but they rose to the task and the solution is now implemented at 2 big clients who use it daily and are very happy with it. I liked the fact that during development we did not bog down to extreme formalities and bureaucracy, which in turn let us move forward at great speed and focus on details that matter to the customer.

Webamboos developed the MVP of our art marketplace using Next.js and Node.js. The team has also integrated Strapi CMS into the product alongside APIs for SendGrid and Stripe. We decided to partner with Webamboos because the tech stack was great, the team was highly experienced and it was clear they understood that as an early stage startup, we would need to be flexible with features/designs changing as the MVP was being built (within reason). Additionally, we were able to decide with Webamboos which developers would be allocated to FairArt, based on the specific requirements for building a marketplace. Also, the team actively suggests improvements rather than simply building without asking questions. This collaboration is key to creating great products, that are both technically robust and lovable from a UX point of view. When we did run into issues (which is unavoidable when building a complex product), we could always count on the team to adapt and come up with solutions.

We needed the first release to be launched ASAP. However, they assured us to go through the entire product discovery workshop as this will save a lot of time during the development. They had full ownership of the project, so they made all the technical decisions.

After launching the new platform, we saw an improvement in the conversion rate caused by the optimization of the User Experience. We also saw an increase in organic traffic. The communication with the team was great. They were flexible and open to new perspectives, especially when you have to work with a startup. I'm more than pleased with their work and I recommend them to whoever needs to develop a platform, using the latest technologies.

Our experience with Webamboos was very good. From the start, they seemed very professional with the project assessment, presale meetings, and of course with the ongoing development. Our project was not ideal. It was pretty complicated (required reverse engineering of old code) and had a non-trivial setup. Nevertheless, Wemamboos did whatever was needed to make it happen. We had daily meetings and ongoing communication with the PM and the developers to make sure the progress is according to plan. Sure, it took a bit of time for both parties to be on the same page and adjust, but there was always a feeling that it is a joint effort. We will defenately work together again!
