Web design. . .but better.

Weberous Web Design was founded in 2012 right on the border of Santa Monica and Brentwood. What started as a search engine marketing firm soon transformed into a creative agency and focused on web design and branding, with a marketing twist. The secret to success in the competitive Los Angeles web design market is giving clients what they want. Nobody just wants a pretty website – most reputable creative agencies can do that. What they really want is a team that can strategize with them and take their business to the next level, and they want a great return too. That’s what we do here. There is a reason why we’ve been around for more than 10 years and have maintained excellent relationships with our clients and it’s because we’re very particular about setting the right expectations, and then we bend over backwards to meet or exceed them.

Consumer Products

As an iconic Los Angeles staple in the beauty space, APOTHIA asked Weberous to help streamline ecommerce efforts for their growing brand through a redesign of their website. APOTHIA is style-focused and a combination of ‘Apothecary + Utopia’’ – plus a favorite of A list celebrities and global trendsetters alike. The brand is best known for its luxurious ingredients and careful craftsmanship in their aromatic candles, diffusers, body care and eau de parfums.

WHAT WE’VE MADE

In this top to bottom redesign, Weberous leaned heavily on soothing imagery and clean design to match the luxe brand’s vibe. The Weberous team also developed a Scent Finder Quiz to help customers find fragrances based on their preferences – it’s a creative way to offer product recommendations for a highly sensory item, in a digital storefront.

Startups

Kallpod is a smart device that connects customers and staff at Food & Beverage locations worldwide, and was introduced in 2014 to mitigate service industry inefficiencies and improve the customers’ experience. For a new concept product like this, Weberous knew that they needed to make the experience of using Kallpod’s innovative technology come alive on the website.

WHAT WE’VE MADE

Weberous designed Kallpod’s website to be not only informational, but interactive to demonstrate the product’s functionality. Infographics quickly communicate the value proposition and the Weberous team created clickable graphic elements to show the interaction between the customer’s table-top device and the staff member’s wearable tech. As visitors interact with the buttons on the Kallpod device, the smart watch reacts to show the corresponding real-time alert the food or bar staff would receive. Kallpod is now found in 1000+ restaurant and hotel venues, and sure to continue revolutionizing the hospitality industry.

E-commerce

Feature defines modern culture by merging fashion, music, art, and sneaker collections in a fresh way. Based in Las Vegas since 2010, this contemporary boutique offers a cutting edge selection of shoes, watches, apparel, and accessories. They approached Weberous with a clear mission: to create a user-friendly and visually appealing ecommerce site that elevated their brand. They also wanted a solid blog to actively engage with their followers, plus share the latest news and updates.

WHAT WE’VE MADE

After much research, collaboration, and experimentation with creative elements, Weberous developed and created a modern design, for a clean and minimal but bold look, to resonate with the streetwear target audience. Highly visual blog pages reinforced the lifestyle aspect of Feature – and with a seamlessly integrated online store, gave customers the ability to shop while reading! Weberous also built a special releases raffle tool for Feature, to create and launch raffles for limited release products as they hit the site – stoking the anticipation. This unique project was a successful balancing act between strong design and branding, while maximizing conversions.

xPrize is a unique 501c(3) non-profit that champions contests to help inspire radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity. They’ve partnered with companies like Google, agencies like NASA, and have a Board of Trustees boasting big names: James Cameron, Elon Musk, Larry Page, Arianna Huffington are just a few.  xPrize joined forces with Disney to create a contest for kids, powered by Disney’s Tomorrowland. xPrize asked Weberous to build the contest website, with specific requirements due to legal aspects.

The site had to include a multi-step process of parental registration, verification, and a consent grant – before their children could submit entries spanning text, photo, and video. All of these nuances needed to be fast, and functional from any device. Behind the scenes, Weberous integrated with an API that worked with Transunion in order to verify the parents’ identity, before activating their child’s account for submission.Weberous built the website to automatically compress photos, convert video entries through Zencoder for compatibility, and store video media externally on Amazon’s S3 servers for faster site load times and streaming. The future is now!
