Zoewebs is a digital agency located in Penang, Malaysia. I’m the founder and CEO of this company.
What is the story behind starting this company?
I started a web design service as my part-time. Due to the increasing market demand, I decided to go full-time and set up my own company.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We focus on web design and digital marketing services. Our core people are the developers, an in-house designer, and a team of sales and marketing experts. We outsource related services to 3rd parties like photographers, videographers, copywriters, translators, server engineers, etc, for which we do not need them to be full-timers or work in our office.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
Our skills are certified by reputable corporations like Google and Facebook. We also work closely with the local government to provide discounted services to local SMEs. Our professional team has over 10 years of experience in this sector, and we have successfully served around one thousand customers worldwide.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
Most of our customers are SMEs, such as factories, trading, F&B, services, etc. We have around 90%, repetitive customers. They mainly renew websites or subscribe to our digital marketing services such as online advertising.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
I started the company by offering web development services. Until today, the website design service is still the most important business for us.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
I can say 90% of our customers are satisfied with us. This can be proven by our 90% repeat sales. We act fast to their inquiries and complaints to make them feel important and valued.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
We make things easier for customers to contact us. Customers can reach us without a hitch through our website, live chat, social media, and more. We use CRM systems to manage our customers and projects so that all our customer inquiries and projects are well taken off.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
There are different calculations based on different services. Some of the projects are charged by features, while some are charged by milestones. For any services that we provide, we do collect deposits before we start working.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Normally, our website project costs RM1,000 and above. Besides the website project, however, we will have to support our customers on some minor amendments. So, this kind of amendment can be as low as RM100 only.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
RM1,000 - RM50,000.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
The market trend nowadays is moving towards digital marketing. We are getting more and more support from the government, local NGOs, and SMEs; Our digital marketing team is getting stronger today. So, we want to become one of the top digital marketing agencies in Malaysia within 10 years.
