An award-winning Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, Zealous System was established in 2008, with an aim to passionately mine technology and delve deeper, and it now has global presence. We are a trusted technology leader in Software Development and IT Consulting Services, having expertise in Web and Mobile App Development for various industries. We strive to deliver full-scale business solutions for the Web, Desktop, and Mobile Application advancement by unlocking the capability of its client's vague ideas and turning their imagination into a reality.
Being the Managing Director and the CEO of the organisation, my role is to direct my team strategically towards 100% attainment of the goals aligning with the organisation’s philosophy. We work as a team at Zealous System, and I ensure that through my support, I can drive them, and eventually the organisation towards growth and holistic development. My role demands complete scrutiny at the operations side, which I believe is at the heart of any organisation.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
The only purpose I wanted to fulfil when I started this organisation was to bridge the void in the way the companies approach services. Being passionate about technology and having served in the services’ industries for a long time, providing just services and providing solution-oriented services is stark different, and not all companies aim for the latter. Also, the freelancers, as they are present in abundance, have somehow made a poor reputation of business approach, which I have dealt at many levels while connecting with clients. I started Zealous System with the only aim to provide best-in-class solutions and not just services. I envisioned an ecosystem wherein problems were addressed in a wholesome way, and not in bits and pieces as the freelancers operate, and that’s what we have been doing for 10 years now.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have a huge talented in-house team of experts – Developers, Designers, Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, Project Managers, and Marketing Specialists.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
We are consultants first, and passionate-at-heart developers and designers later. Talking about value addition, we do impart the knowledge of our know-how of technology and trends to our clients, and transform their ideas into cement-strong businesses. Our solutions cater to both, entrepreneurs as well as medium-to-large scale organisations, adding worth and substance at each and every stage of development of their projects.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We cater to all the industries in general, but education, public sector, retail, automotive, finance, and government are our focus areas. Yes, we have 80% repetitive clients as we have an in-house team that can cater to their requirements whenever need be. We pay highest regards to client satisfaction, and that’s the reason why we have been able to retain majority of our clients over the years.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
While there is no specific formula to determine the time frame needed in developing a mobile app, there are a couple of parameters – Number of Platforms & OS support, App Design, Security, Resource Availability, Third-Party Integrations, and overall complexity of app, which help us arrive at about 80% accurate time frame.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
This again depends on the complexity of an app. But, if we take an average app (having 8-10 screens) for example, then it should take between 15 days to 1 month, depending on the resource availability, number of features/screens, and amount of work required for each feature/screen.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
Well, there are a lot of factors/parameters that need to be taken into account when choosing a development platform to go with. If we talk about the key parameters, then the first one would be the Target Audience of the app, followed by Market Share, Demographics, Features & Functionalities, and of course, Development Cost.
Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
Considering the fact that almost all clients want to develop apps that generate revenue, we recommend to go with iOS platform first mainly because of the quality users. Also, one survey found that on average, iPhone apps make 75% more money than Android, despite Google Play market share being 4 times bigger than iOS.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
This usually depends on the client’s preference. If App Performance is a top priority, then we recommend going Native. However, if the native app development cost doesn’t fit client’s budget, then Cross-platform can be just as fine as long as the app requirement is not too complex.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
When it comes to payment structure, we are flexible with it. But mostly we have 3 major structures; Fixed cost (Pay per feature, Pay per milestone), Monthly (Fixed Monthly Payment for each developer hired) & Time & Material (Payment as per features and milestone)
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Yes, we only accept projects that are above $5000 in budget. However, we would be happy to consider a project below this budget if the client is B2B and has long-term goals.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2017?
The price range of the projects that we catered to in 2017 – Minimum $13 USD per hour & Maximum $30 USD per hour.
Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
Well there are different revenue generation models available, so depending on the nature of the mobile app, we suggest various revenue generation models to our client.
