- Innago is free, easy to use online property management software designed for landlords and property managers to save time and money. Innago allows you to create applications, screen tenants, sign leases, collect rent, manage work orders, organize financials, communicate with tenants, and much more.

- I’m the CEO and co-founder of Innago. Alot of my week is spent developing/implementing business strategies, working on product efficiencies, making sure we’re in great financial standing, building strong relationships with customers and our partners, and making sure I’m staying on top of major industry trends.

What was the objective behind coming up with this software?
- We recognized that DIY landlords had very few resources designed specifically for the way that they manage and grow their businesses. We wanted to make sure these independent landlords/property owners had the same tools and efficiencies available to them as their larger, institutional competitors. We knew that one of the major sticking points for these real estate investors was cost, so we made Innago free for them to use.
How is your software beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other software alternatives available in the market?
- It may sound obvious or even trivial, but I think the biggest innovation we’ve brought to the market is simply recognizing that these landlords and property managers are so often DIY and/or come from the DIY mindset. This means they need quick, flexible, and easy to use tools and it also means they are extremely price sensitive.
- We spend a ton of time obsessing over how to simplify our interface, and for those that need a little handholding, we provide each user a dedicated support rep that they can reach out to any time. As far as I know, we’re the only property management software that does this. We also made it free to use, again, the only platform to do that (with no gimmicks or pro plans).
What industries do you generally cater to? Which industries in general are highly benefiting by using your software?
- Real Estate Industry and Property Management industry. Property Managment industry is highly benefiting from using our software.
What are the key features of your software that makes it stand apart from your competitor products in the market?
- Online rent collection, dedicated account rep, free use for landlords/property owners, tenant screening, online lease signing, listing & syndication, maintenance requests.
What is the customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
- Our amazing customer support team is dedicated to each user of ours. This user can contact us whenever they need an answer to a question or some help. We find this beneficial for two reasons: 1) it really helps the users and gives them a better experience; 2) we learn so much from having that close relationship. The vast majority of features in Innago are direct requests from our users, and I don’t think we’d have developed software that’s as acclaimed as Innago is without so many people sharing their insight directly with our support team. You just don’t get that if you’re unwilling to offer a phone number and talk to people.
Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what is the percentage of repeat customers that you have?
- Our customers are extremely repetitive with over 90% repeat customers.
Does your software product provide any resource or knowledge section for its users? If yes, what kind of material is provided to your users to help them get acquainted with your product?
- We provide a resource center for our users. In this center, users can search for any issues they are facing. Answers come in articles, step-by-step pictures and video tutorials.
- We also provide a learning center on our website to cover general real estate topics for anyone to read.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
- We have a customer support team that is available 24/7. The support team is also dedicated to a client. Prospective clients can ask questions through our chat system on our website.
What has been the revenue for your product for 2022?

Where do you see your product in the next 10 years?
- Our mission was first to better serve landlords, but it’s really expanded to include tenants as well. In the next 10 years, we envision Innago as the primary way that millions of tenants and landlords interact with one another, whether that means finding a new place to live, submitting an application, signing a lease, paying rent, chatting with their landlord, raising a maintenance request, or anything else related to their rental. We want Innago to be the platform they take with them from one landlord to the next and we want this to make the landlord’s job significantly easier as a result.

I was looking for a product to allow me to collect rent online from my tenants, while simultaneously giving them the impression of me as a professional landlord. I was hoping to keep my costs down, since I only have a couple of units and need to manage my cashflow carefully. Innago provided for a perfect introductory solution. It has all of the tools a landlord could need or use, while allowing a novice landlord like myself the opportunity to grow into the platform.

Review Summary

Many of the homeowners from properties we manage wanted to pay by credit card. Another service we used had astronomical fees and we heard nothing but complaints about them. Innago's rates are low and they offer e-checks. This is the first year we've worked with Innago to let homeowners pay online. The response has been good and, after a short learning curve, it's easy for me to navigate the system.

Review Summary

Innago is a great platform for rent collection, lease signing, and maintenance requests. Users can create lease templates to use and have tenants populate fields that are variable. Lease signings can also be done online through the platform. In the past I had to update my lease for every property I own and for every year, but now I can just use one template basically forever. Maintenance tracking always used to be a problem for me too. Tenants would text me or email me (sometimes in the middle of the night) and I didnt have a consistent place to track all those requests.

Innago is a great platform for rent collection, lease signing, and maintenance requests.

What do you like the least about Innago?

It would be good to add more than just lease signing for documentation. I have guarantors for all my tenants because they are students, so I need to have cosigner agreements signed. Also, the expense/transaction management seems worse than other products I've used. It doesn't seem like there is an automatic import feature in Innago (so that my mortgage payments can come in as an expense or something).

Easy to set up. The tenants have also had an easy time using it. It helps me track rent payments, contracts, and maintenance requests. It allows tenants to pay with a credit card or other cards. It also allows the tenant or yourself to pay for the software which is nice if you set it all up right.

Fairly easy to set up automated rent collection and for tenants to report payments to improve their credit score. The rest is a bit lacking. The UI is clunky on both mobile and web. Landlords can't see the tenant view, and the support documentation for tenants is really lacking. The lease template creation process is cumbersome.

Review Summary

I have properties with enough units to make it a headache to keep track of in my mind, or on paper. Things were starting to slip through the cracks. In addition, I wanted to offer a professional experience to my tenants that is a step above what most small business property manager/owners typically provide. Features I most wanted include (1) Ability to offer online rent payment with a backend for me to easily tell who has paid and the status of my accounts receivable (2) A way to organize and track maintenance requests made by tenants (3) Software that can organize and store my leases and automatically notify me and the tenants when rents are increased, when the lease is up for renewal (4) If rents are paid late, ability for the software to track, calculate and collect late payment charges. The primary thing that caught my attention about Innago was their simple pricing model. Free. The process of onboarding my tenants and properties was simple. Both I and my tenants love Innago!
