Please introduce your product and give a brief about your role within the organization.
TimeTac is an employee work time tracking, project time tracking, and leave management software for medium-sized and large companies. It is designed to improve the work environment and make administrative processes more efficient as it helps to eliminate paper timesheets and precisely record working hours.
As founder and CEO, I am beyond proud of what we have achieved in the past years. Together with an amazing team, we try every day to make our product better.
What was the objective behind coming up with this software?
Originally, we created TimeTac for ourselves. We were three friends who were running a trading company. Back then, I was traveling a lot, and to create transparency concerning working hours among the shareholders we were looking for a time tracking solution. We didn’t find something suitable on the market and since we had strong developer skills ourselves, we decided to start programming. And so TimeTac came into existence.
How is your software beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other software alternatives available in the market?
TimeTac has a flexible and easily customizable modular system; therefore, it can be easily adjusted to the specific needs of any organization. We also offer an onboarding service and have a highly-rated support team that is always ready to help. Also, our software is cloud-based, so it can be accessed from any browser or mobile device while staying GDPR-compliant. Besides that, TimeTac also offers clocking in machines, which are easily combinable with the software. It helps to make all the processes in the company more transparent. It reduces the workload on HR departments as all the data could be effortlessly exported in any payroll or accounting software. Every employee, with several clicks, can easily clock in and out and track time on project tasks, check their leave entitlement for the calendar year, and easily plan holidays. On top, TimeTac offers a very flexible API and integrations to various software solutions.
What industries do you generally cater to? Which industries in general are highly benefiting by using your software?
TimeTac can be used by companies in a variety of different industries, from agencies to medical practices to governmental organizations, IT companies, or cleaning services and construction sites. So it doesn’t matter if the employees of the company are mainly based in the office or are working remotely or have frequent business trips; all of their working time can be precisely documented via practically any device. TimeTac offers a great overview and transparent request-approval processes to Management and HR. Also, the megatrend of the last years, working remotely, can perfectly be covered with TimeTac.
What are the key features of your software that makes it stand apart from your competitor products in the market?
TimeTac is a very flexible yet easy-to-use software that can be adapted to your company’s specific needs and regulations. We offer not only live work time tracking features but also the possibility to record time and access timesheets offline, which ensures that your data is always accurate and safe. But what customers appreciate probably most is the very good price-performance ratio of the products combined with our outstanding services and support.
What is the customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
Customers are pleased with TimeTac. More than 3.000 existing customers, high ratings and great reviews on various platforms are proof of that. Also, if the customers choose TimeTac, they usually stick around for quite a long time because they are happy with our software features and the service provided. They often grow together with TimeTac as the software is easily scalable and the number of users could be easily and quickly adjusted. We are also constantly maintaining and improving our software and mobile apps. As we value our customers’ input, we react quickly and always respond to reviews and are trying to resolve any issues that may arise as soon as possible. Our integrations team is always happy to set up a custom integration with any other tools your company uses, which adds more value to our personal and flexible business approach.
Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what is the percentage of repeat customers that you have?
I would not use the word “repetitive” for our customers because we are providing continuous service, and TimeTac helps companies with their everyday life. The majority of our customers are long-lasting and are growing together with TimeTac.
Does your software product provide any resource or knowledge section for its users? If yes, what kind of material is provided to your users to help them get acquainted with your product?
Yes, we’ve got our TimeTac Knowledge Base, a FAQ page and free webinars users can register for free. We also have a blog in English and German languages and a regular newsletter with updates and exciting topics in the industry. Additionally, our English and German-speaking support team are always there to help.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
All the clients have access to email or phone support from the software setup and throughout the whole duration of the contract with TimeTac.
What has been the revenue for your product for 2021?
We do not communicate our business figures. But I am very proud to share that we are serving more than 3,000 customers with over 100,000 daily users and are the leading time tracking company in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Where do you see your product in the next 10 years?
After having established our business in the German-speaking countries, we are on a mission to expand our business to new markets. We already have a lot of English-speaking clients and are looking forward to the expansion and internationalization of TimeTac. Our hiring strategy in the past few years has already been influenced by our plans to grow internationally. Time tracking is a hot topic in many countries and industries, especially when more and more employees are working remotely. Therefore, we would like to help more and more companies around the globe to easily and effortlessly record working time.
