Introduction

"My Guilty Dogs" is a custom-built mobile and web-based solution developed to streamline dog daycare and boarding experiences for both pet owners and facility staff. The platform offers a seamless end-to-end experience — from easy booking and digital check-ins to real-time updates and safety protocols — providing peace of mind to dog owners and operational efficiency to daycare providers. Designed with both pet parents and certified handlers in mind, the solution ensures a safe, engaging, and transparent environment for canine companions.

Challenges

Developing a solution that prioritizes both user convenience and pet safety required balancing functionality with sensitivity. Key challenges included creating a user-friendly booking interface, integrating real-time pet monitoring features, managing emergency contact workflows, and ensuring data security for sensitive user information. Additionally, the app needed to support seamless communication between handlers and pet owners, while offering flexible backend tools for facility management.

Solutions

To meet these challenges, we developed a cross-platform application leveraging React Native for mobile and Node.js for backend services. A clean, intuitive UI was designed for effortless navigation, allowing users to book and check in pets within seconds. The platform included smart dashboards for dog handlers to manage schedules, track behavior, and store emergency contact details — all readily accessible in case of an unexpected event.

A secure cloud infrastructure was implemented using AWS, with end-to-end data encryption and real-time sync for instant updates. The app also allows handlers to send pet status updates or photos to owners directly, reinforcing trust and transparency. Notifications, digital records, and profile histories are all managed within the app for a streamlined experience.

Results

"My Guilty Dogs" successfully transformed the way dog daycares interact with their clients, offering a digital-first, secure, and reliable experience.
