We partnered with Aimtraction to bring our vision for DeckCraft.AI to life - a GitHub-style platform for creating and managing presentations with version control and AI assistance. The goal was ambitious: to help teams confidently build pitch decks, reports, and proposals without risking outdated or inconsistent content.

From the beginning, Aimtraction demonstrated strong technical expertise, clear product thinking, and full ownership of the outcome. They led the entire development process, including system architecture, full-stack implementation, and the development of Office 365 plugins for PowerPoint and Excel. This allowed users to work inside familiar tools while keeping all data synchronized and versioned.

Their use of Extreme Programming (XP) was especially impactful. The team delivered fast, adapted to daily-changing requirements, and continuously validated assumptions through working software.

DeckCraft.AI is a collaborative, AI-enhanced platform for building and managing presentations with full version control. The product was designed to eliminate the risk of outdated or inconsistent slides during critical business communications such as investor pitch decks, board reports, and sales proposals.
Users can create slides directly within the platform using AI assistance or manual input. The system ensures that teams always work with the most up-to-date content, can track changes across versions, and maintain data accuracy across all presentations.
In addition to the web-based platform, the project included the development of Microsoft 365 add-ins for both PowerPoint and Excel. These plugins allow users to access version-controlled content and insert synchronized data directly into presentations and spreadsheets, ensuring seamless integration with familiar tools while preserving consistency across documents.

Their rare combination of technical excellence, agility, and personal commitment. Aimtraction adapted smoothly to daily changes, delivered rapidly through Extreme Programming, and genuinely treated the product as their own. When challenges arose - including funding gaps - their founder Lex Romaniak kept development moving at his own cost. Their proactive, ownership-driven approach made them feel like true product partners rather than an external vendor.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

There was very little to dislike. If anything, their deep level of involvement sometimes led them to overcommit - taking on too much responsibility themselves instead of pushing back or delegating earlier. While this came from genuine dedication, clearer boundaries at certain stages could have supported longer-term scalability and planning.
