Project Challenges

The challenge was to translate a physical, emotional and collective ritual into a digital experience without stripping it of meaning, while preserving chance, surprise and the logic of the gift and the fava.

The interaction had to be immediate and intuitive: take a photo, get a response. No downloads, no sign-ups, no friction — working seamlessly across devices and in real social contexts.

At the same time, the solution needed to be robust and scalable, prepared for usage peaks and varied image quality, while maintaining visual and editorial consistency.

All of this had to be ready in time for Christmas. As often happens, it’s easy to forget that Christmas arrives every year… always on December 25th.
 

Solutions

The experience was designed to happen on mobile — the only device that makes sense around a Christmas table — with a simple, fast and frictionless flow.

At its core is an AI model trained specifically to recognize the Bolo-Rei as an object, distinguishing it from visually similar cakes. Photographing an orange cake, for example, does not unlock a gift. You get the fava.

When a Bolo-Rei is correctly identified, the system unlocks a digital gift, presented as a short animated moment inspired by the traditional objects once hidden inside the cake.

The entire platform follows a mobile-first approach, lightweight and accessible, with no downloads, registrations or instructions, designed for real social settings and featuring content created specifically for the festive season and the moment in which it is discovered.
 

Results

Starting from a creative concept developed by LOLA NORMAJEAN, the project reinterpreted a deeply rooted Portuguese Christmas ritual, adding a new layer of meaning in a contemporary digital context.

The experience was organically shared by the client’s audience and generated buzz in specialised media and advertising press, extending its reach beyond the Christmas table.

For Buzzvel, the project demonstrates the ability to turn a creative idea into a functional and relevant digital experience, through thoughtful UX design and mobile-first technical production, built for real-world use and informal contexts.

More than a prize, the real gift was the idea that was shared.

Ra-Ro wanted a platform that honoured Portugal’s artisan heritage. They arrived with a defined brand, a clear story, and a mission rooted in cultural preservation. What they needed was the technical execution to scale that vision online.

The brief was demanding. Translate an established identity into a high-performing experience. Respect the content strategy. Serve two languages and two audiences. Balance cultural depth with commercial clarity. Make handmade feel premium, not improvised.

This all had to happen on Shopify, showing that storytelling and commercial performance can work together. Most marketplaces make artisans look the same. Ra-Ro needed a platform that made each one unforgettable.

Solutions

A digital experience that protects the brand’s intention

Within Ra-Ro’s identity, we designed a Shopify experience that feels curated and editorial. Large photography, confident typography and bold layouts ensure each piece is presented as a cultural artefact rather than a simple product.

An architecture that converts curiosity into commerce

We created a bilingual platform in PT and EN that preserves Ra-Ro’s content strategy while improving usability. Navigation is organised by Portuguese regions. Collections follow craft traditions. A rarity system, from UNSUAL to UNIQUE, is integrated into browsing and discovery.

Artisan profiles became decision-making tools. Regional narratives became SEO value. Product pages became editorial features. Everything runs naturally within Shopify.

Technical execution focused on performance and scale

We built custom modules for artisan storytelling and optimised product discovery flows. The bilingual checkout feels seamless. Every technical decision balanced aesthetics with performance, because a beautiful experience only works if it is fast.

Implementation that maintains the brand’s voice

Ra-Ro’s tone is cultured, confident, and rooted in heritage. We translated that voice into a consistent content system across the entire platform. Both languages convey the same clarity and intent.

Results

Ra-Ro became the digital reference for Portuguese craft. The vision they imagined was executed without compromise.

Engagement metrics exceeded heritage e-commerce benchmarks. Their editorial approach drove longer sessions, deeper product exploration, and higher cart values. Built with WebGL and Three.js, the tool allows users to explore, customize, and preview artworks in real time, such as select frame materials, finishes, and sizes with lifelike accuracy.
To support this immersive experience, we implemented lazy loadingsmart caching, and selective rendering strategies to maintain fluid performance. The platform also features Moloni API integration for automated invoicing and multilingual support via WPML, enabling Kilford to reach global audiences with seamless operations.

Challenge

Building the PEPACC website presented a variety of challenges, starting with developing an interactive map of Portugal. Solution

Challenge

The ordering process became one of the main reasons why "Coma ou Leve" looked for Buzzvel.

There was an urgency to automate the process and even correspond to customers expectations regarding orders in one of the highest sales seasons, Christmas and New Year, with around 1000 orders per day.

Solution

Buzzvel conducted a needs analysis with the client and presented a solution for developing a CRM platform for internal use based on Coma ou Leve's immediate needs (an easy and quick ordering process).

Impact

With the use of the CRM platform, it was possible to automate the orders internally. Although the entry of application data is the responsibility of Coma ou Leve, the platform processes them after their insertion. Then, it sends them directly to the customer for detailed order confirmation.

According to Coma ou Leve, streamlining this process saved about 1 (one) week of work and several hours in treating data, bureaucratic processes previously solved on paper.

CRM also allows for a better organizational organization, making it possible to manage internal workflow and team organization - such as delivery.

With this internal organization, Coma ou Leve guarantees greater flexibility to receive new orders and respond to a greater flow of orders from the end customer.

Currently, Coma ou Leve is developing with Buzzvel a new functionality focused on store stock management.

Challenge

It is difficult to control where certain blood tests are performed in certain parts of the world. Challenge

We built this CRM platform that allowed the users to organize their operations in expanding the Helium network. As the Helium network grew exponentially, so did the amount of user data being managed. This posed scaling and performance challenges.

Solution

Buzzvel analyzed the client's project and sought to present a strategy to respond to Hotspotty's primary needs and executed accordingly by working closely with the Hotspotty team.

The proposed strategies were proven to be effective as the platform now has over 200k users and about half of the Helium network is being managed on the platform without any down time since the beginning.

Impact

With the development of the CRM platform, Hotspotty now has a solid foundation to further expand their platform and grow with their market opportunities and customer needs over time.

This CRM makes a detailed collection of data and saves them in a permanent, not allowing its elimination. In this sense, the data can always be rescued and consulted if necessary.

Hotspotty now has over 200k users and about half of the Helium network (close to 1M hotspots worldwide) is being managed on the platform without any down time since the first release. Solution

We created a new website for VIPLANT with the main aim of enhancing the user experience, extending the quality of the physical purchase to the digital environment.

We introduced personalised offer packages and created the VIPLANT Card, a loyalty programme that offers clients the opportunity to make purchases with advantageous conditions and get first-hand access to exclusive and personalised content, such as online and face-to-face courses.

Impact

Internally: We provided the client with a platform that gives them autonomy in managing their online business.

Externally: We observed an increase of approximately 75 per cent in online sales. The VIPLANT Card gained around 450 members in the first three months, and the customer database grew exponentially.

We developed a robust and intuitive CMS - in WordPress and WooCommerce - which allows VIPLANT to personalise the site's look and easily launch promotions on special occasions, such as Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, the arrival of spring, etc…

In terms of CRM, we have centralised all customer data, which has allowed us to strengthen long-term relationships, ensuring that customers are always the first to know about new products and promotions. In addition, we collect feedback on the quality of service in a discreet and non-intrusive way.

Portugal Advanced Health or PAH is an innovative and pioneering project in the area of health in Portugal, specializing in hyperbaric treatments at 1.4atm (atmosphere).

Challenge

There is a need for an online presence and exposure to publicize their services and business expansion.

The automation of processes to make the daily internal management more effective, allowing immediate response to the customer, increasing their retention and subscription to new services, such as treatments.

Solution

Buzzvel analyzed PAH's needs with the client and built a strategy that fills them. In this way, we developed that mirrors the brand's mission and vision, the business's specialties, and the treatments it offers, allowing the customer to schedule an appointment in the desired thing immediately.

Developed a CRM that allowed the customer to immediately schedule appointments, examinations, and treatments, as well as the internal and daily collection of data, made available through detailed weekly reports.

We also developed an automated Call Center and Chat System through Twilio and Jivochat integration. Through a Chat Bot, PAH interacts with the website user and immediately collects data for later contact.

Impact

Using the new website, PAH started to be present online, which allows the customer to consult all the necessary information about the services, specialties, and treatments it provides.

In the new CRM, the PAH employees started using the system to book and schedule appointments, examinations, and treatments without paper.

The CRM also makes detailed reports available to PAH with daily data collection, cross-referencing data, demographics, and customer behavior, which proved to be essential for the knowledge of your target audience, the actual core of the business, and the most sought-after specialties.

With the daily data saved in CRM, it was possible to gradually analyze the viability of investment by PAH, thus realizing where it would be safer to invest for the project's growth.

In just two months, with the data analysis available, PAH identified the process that led to the loss of a lead through the website, leading to its optimization: from (Contact > Exams > Consultation) to (Contact > Consultation > Exams).

After this optimization, they increase 100% in appointments and treatments.
