Climbax Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is a multi-industry start-up that aims to bridge the gap between the real and the virtual world by developing customized solutions in the field of Virtual Reality, Software, Mobile App and Web Development, 2D/3D Animations & VFX, Films & Media and Digital Marketing. We also have a product, Digicuro, which automates all office operations, a client management solution and a VR/AR based product for the real estate and the hospitality sector. Currently, we have a base in three nations and clients across 10 countries.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
Climbax was started with a vision to become a one-stop solution for all digital needs of a business, be it software consultancy, automation, animations or marketing providing high-quality services meeting international standards. Adding to it the name Climbax is an amalgamation of Climax and Climb which signifies that even if we reach the climax of the project for a client, we keep on climbing in relations with them.
What is your company’s business model–in-house team or third-party vendors/ outsourcing?
All the services that are our core competencies are handled by dedicated in-house teams. It gives us greater control over the quality of the product and way better experience for our clients.
How is your business model beneficial from a value-added perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
Everything we offer is in-house, we don’t outsource any projects or services. We have independent teams for every project led by a project manager who interacts with the client throughout. Always giving hard deadlines and promising timely delivery to our clients. During the various phases of development, the clients can track their project through our ‘Client App’ developed dedicatedly for them to check the real-time progress of their project.
Because of our other divisions like Animations and Digital Marketing, we can provide an all-round solution (e.g., from strategizing to product launch and marketing it) to our clients which are also convenient for them as they have to interact directly with one vendor for everything.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We provide services to all industries. Majorly our clientele is from Manufacturing, Hospitality and Real Estate. We have also worked for clients from the Healthcare and Education industry and almost 90% of our clients have been repetitive.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
Determining the development time for a MobileApp varies from one project to another. More feature intensive apps require a longer time to develop. Features like third-party integrations, API development, how intuitive the UI and UX need to be also added to the timeline. Another crucial factor is the platform on which the App is being developed.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
Since both front-end and back-end form an integral part of the whole product, a considerable amount of time and attention should be given to both. I personally feel more emphasis should be given to back-end as that comprises of the complete logic and brain of the solution, it has to be very efficient, fast, scalable and robust for the product to be competent and long-term. Front-end, on the other hand, takes a relatively lesser time but is very important regarding the actual success of the product, as to how the end user experiences the final solution. It should cater to every user’s need. In the end, the final product has to be high quality and simple to use for it to be successful.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
The right platform depends on various factors such as the type of product being developed, its target audience and the geographic region where the product is going to be launched. For example, If the target audience majorly uses Android phones then the client is advised to get started with the Android platform first.
Which platform do you suggest to your clients, to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
The market in which our client is looking forward to launch their app plays a big part here. I believe both Android and iOS platforms are equally important for clients to make their app a success. We recommend the appropriate platform to begin with on the basis of a few factors such as demographics, the country, budget etc. For example, when we are looking at Indian clients, we recommend Android first because of the relatively bigger user base. Whereas, for the USA and Canada based clients, iOS App is suggested.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
We usually suggest native apps as they give you greater control over features of your application which are built and organized from a coding perspective. Also, hybrid apps are more rigid when incorporating new platform with specific features.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
There are multiple factors that play a key role in deciding the cost of the application; the number of features and how complex they are to implement in a given timeline for the project, the complexity of the app’s design or the UI/UX. Lastly, which platform the app is getting built on (Android or iOS) and the experience of the developers also contributes to decide the final cost.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
There are no specific minimum budget requirements; the projects that are challenging and complex to work on are preferred. We have worked on projects with the budget as low as 1500-2000 USD to high budget projects which go on for many years.
