Digiadlab is a team of Digital Marketing experts as they have been working on our in-house marketing since 8 months now and have driven business revenues for us. We asked Digiadlab to implement PPC to generate leads for our CRM solutions and they responded by running the best paid ads campaign I have ever seen till date. In terms of feedback, they seem to be doing everything well and have found unique ideas to reach their listed aims. Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
Digiadlab is an end-to-end IT & Digital Marketing services agency that is focussing on helping businesses with their digital transformation goals. Founded in 2018, it has been working with global clients. I am actively working as the Pre-Sales Consultant and the Project Manager, responsible for the overall project execution and delivery. Also as an owner, the overall accountability and management rest with me.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the Digital Marketing Strategy for a client.
Each client and each project is different. The objective or the parameters which are critical may vary when fine-tuned but can broadly be clubbed into the following five categories -
  1. Brand Awareness & Availability
  2. Products and/or Services offered by the client
  3. Industry Size and Competitors
  4. Target Audience and Demographics
  5. Budget, Timeline, and Expectations
The proportion of weightage to each of the above five parameters differs in every single project, even if of the same client.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
The uniqueness of the company comes from my personal foundations of right and wrong and parameters of success. For us at Digiadlab, customer satisfaction begins before Pre-Sales and ends much after Project Delivery & Handover. Customer retention is an aim that is constantly strived for. Another point of difference is that while acquiring new customers is a priority from a business perspective, it is not above ensuring present and past customers feel fulfilled by the services offered. The main goal, as I see it, is that no customer should feel the need to go to another service provider for similar demands in the future.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
Digiadlab is mostly catering to the E-Commerce, Entertainment, and E-Learning industries. However, we are looking to expand and provide services in all relevant industries as and when needed. Long-term project customers have become repetitive customers over time. As mentioned earlier, this is one of the goals we aim for. If we talk of clients and not projects, approximately 50% are repetitive. Of the remaining 50%, some clients are such that their project requirements have ended completely for the time being.

What do you find to be some of the most key factors for running a successful agency in the field of Digital Marketing?
While Digital Marketing has left its footprint in the last decade, the boon that was seen during the Covid-19 pandemic is unprecedented by many accounts. For an agency to be successful in the field of digital marketing, there are a few ground rules that need to be kept in mind.
  • Digital marketing services cannot be successfully provided unless the agency understands the products/services it is looking to market for the client. This means client conversions are slower than in other industries.
  • As a digital marketing agency, no two clients are the same. Irrespective of their similarities, there is no module that can be replicated in its entirety. Each client demands a strategy based on their unique circumstances.
  • This is true for all industries, but highly visible in digital marketing. If the strategy does not convert to quantifiable results, no amount of creativity or uniqueness can salvage the plan.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a project?
There are two key components/factors that are looked into when quoting a cost to the client.
  • Resources – From team members who are working to the overall time commitments of the project; from the special needs (influencers, liaison, etc.), to the complexity and amount of content required; each of these variables has a direct impact on the project costing.
  • Engagement Model – There are multiple models which can be implemented for team hiring and engagement. The two most prevalent ones are Fixed Price and Monthly Retainer models. The core difference between the two models lies in the fact that in the fixed price model, the project scope and timeline are fixed, and in the monthly retainer model, the resource (person/team) working for the client is fixed.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients?
Any bill that is generated for a client for a project or part thereof consists of a few elements. The payment structure for each element is different and defined. 
Pure from the digital marketing aspect of the bill, the payment is always upfront and the client is informed in detail of how the funds will be utilized. Any payments needed to be made to the team have a minimum of half the cost being paid up-front. This proportion depends on the project risk and timeline. The last component is the service cost incurred by the agency and is split half for before and after project delivery.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
Within the calendar year 2020, we have catered to projects in the range of US $1000-10,000. This being said, most of these projects come from repeat clients and therefore are an indication of the growth potential which Digiadlab shows. While the aforementioned is a range, I feel that it is important to mention here that the mean and median project cost is in the upper 25% percentile of this range.
Name a couple of activities that you think provide the best ROI in terms of benefit/impact when it comes to different areas of Digital Marketing.
If we talk of activities instead of metrics that provide the best ROI for benefit/impact, the list is pretty comprehensive. First and foremost, what cannot be missed, is goal identification and metric (KPI) definition. The next major activity must be the choice of platform and medium, along with option testing for best results. Finally not to be forgotten, is continuous evaluation, optimization, and unhindered marketing of the products/services.
