About:

pablo Verrastro is an entrepreneur and founder of QR-Farma. He has a solid track record in the pharmaceutical sales sector, working for renowned companies such as Laboratorio Urufarma, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Servimedic S.A. He has training in chemistry and statistics from the University of the Republic (Udelar) in Montevideo, Uruguay. His experience and knowledge position him as a leader in the industry.

Challenge:

Pharmaceutical laboratories face challenges in managing the distribution of medicines for promotional purposes (samples). In traditional systems, the lack of control over these samples can lead to poor sales management, as well as a lack of updated information about their actual use by doctors and their traceability. Without a clear record of the origin and destination of the medication, doctors cannot access the product consistently and are unaware of aspects such as discounts or usage conditions for the patient. This, in turn, affects the marketing of medicines, leads to inefficient spending on medical promotion, and decreases the revenues of pharmaceutical laboratories.

These difficulties highlight the need for a comprehensive platform that facilitates the management and distribution of medicines for promotional purposes, as well as the application of discounts and the immediate provision of information about the medicines delivered, whether as samples or with special discounts.

Solution:

The solution consisted of developing a mobile application for the recording and control of drivers' work and operations. With this tool, drivers can log the start and end of their working hours. It is also possible to update the technical parameters of the truck before each trip, ensuring control over the vehicle's condition. Additionally, the application allows for tracking fuel loads, as well as the loading and unloading of assigned freight. This solution enhances the accuracy of monitoring logistical information, optimizing operational efficiency and facilitating compliance with labor and safety regulations at Lanas Trinidad.

Result:

The implementation of the mobile application offers multiple benefits for both the drivers and the company. For the drivers, it allows them to work offline, recording activities and the condition of the truck at any time, and easily synchronizing the data when there is an internet connection. Additionally, all operations are stored in a database, providing accessible history and improving transparency. The interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate, which facilitates quick adoption on mobile devices with Android and iOS.

For the company, this translates into greater operational efficiency, as the ability to work offline minimizes disruptions in daily routines. It also benefits from centralized access to accurate and updated data, improving decision-making regarding maintenance, fuel management, and route assignment. Furthermore, the detailed recording helps ensure compliance with labor and safety regulations, while the application's ease of use ensures rapid adoption by the drivers.

Transportation & Logistics

About:

Lanas Trinidad is the leading producer and exporter of washed and combed wool in Uruguay. With a wool-making tradition since 1916, its products are exported to the world's main and most demanding markets.

Its production is developed under the concept of a circular economy, where each stage of the process aims for efficiency and environmental care. The company is characterized by providing support to producers by facilitating tools related to animal welfare, ultrasound for future mothers, application of superior genetics, Tally Hi shearing, green label conditioning, and polyethylene packaging.

Challenge:

Lanas Trinidad was facing issues with its land transportation logistics, as its drivers were not adequately recording their working hours, freight, fuel loads, and the technical conditions of the trucks. This lack of accurate records caused difficulties in meeting legal regulations, leading to financial inconsistencies and compromising operational safety. Additionally, the inefficiency in monitoring essential information resulted in delivery delays and increased operational costs. To resolve this situation, the client needed a digital system that would allow for real-time recording, thereby improving efficiency and transparency in their logistics operation.

Solution:

The solution consisted of developing a mobile application for the recording and control of drivers' work and operations. With this tool, drivers can log the start and end of their working hours. It is also possible to update the technical parameters of the truck before each trip, ensuring control over the vehicle's condition. Result:

The implementation of the mobile application offers multiple benefits for both the drivers and the company. About:

The Honorary Commission for the Fight Against Cancer in Uruguay, established in 1967, is an institution dedicated to cancer prevention and control. Its mission includes educating and raising awareness among the population about risk factors, promoting early detection and management of the disease, as well as supporting research and collaborating with other entities. Additionally, it provides resources and support to patients and their families to enhance their well-being during treatment.

Challenge:

Cervical cancer represents a public health challenge in Uruguay, ranking fifth in mortality and fourth in incidence among women. Although there are preventive measures to eradicate the disease, a significant percentage of girls and women do not follow them, exposing themselves to the risk of developing it. To address this issue, a project was launched to create an innovative technological tool aimed at reducing the incidence of this cancer. With funding from the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) and the support of entities such as the Honorary Commission for the Fight Against Cancer, the Ministry of Public Health, and the Administration of State Health Services (ASSE), the companies DigitalProjex, ATGen, and ThalesLab were selected. The solution was to focus on several key processes: prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

Solution:

For the development of the solution and in integrated collaboration with the other companies involved in the project, DigitalProjex took on the responsibility of creating various components, including a back-end for administrators and content managers, in addition to a front-end and a chatbot aimed at end users. An API was also implemented to connect third-party applications with the solution. The platform focuses on the main phases of health care: Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Follow-up. Features were incorporated to provide information about diseases, vaccines, frequently asked questions, news, available treatments, and contact details of authorized vaccination centers.

The system allows for scheduling appointments for tests and medical consultations, and offers access to the results of completed exams, as well as guidance for starting medical treatments. Users can interact with the chatbot, which facilitates appointment management. Additionally, the solution is designed with security and interoperability features, ensuring efficient and secure operation.

Result:

The platform developed to combat cervical cancer in Uruguay offers multiple benefits as it addresses the disease comprehensively. By combining an information system with an interactive chatbot, it facilitates access to essential information on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of the disease. This tool allows users to easily manage tests and medical appointments, access examination results, and receive guidance on available treatments, promoting better understanding of preventive measures and diagnostic options. Furthermore, the ease of connection with other applications ensures that this solution can be integrated into a broader network of health services, enhancing interoperability and user experience. This tool not only empowers women by providing access to information and medical care but also significantly contributes to reducing the incidence of cervical cancer in the country.
