Frenchy Digital L.L.C. Executive Interview

Chris Machetto

Kindly share your feedback on how GoodFirms has been doing so far in increasing your visibility among potential clients.
GoodFirms has recently been sending more quality leads from their platform than any other source or directory online. We’re glad to be finally be creating a meaningful presence online thanks to them.
Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Frenchy Digital specializes in building scalable, and custom apps and E-commerces using agile development processes leveraging industry-accepted web technologies. My role as CEO is to constantly be on the lookout for strategic partnerships, new technologies, and direct the overall vision and long-term approach to Frenchy’s goals.
What is the story behind starting this company?
When we first started the company in France, there was a huge need for Agencies that can do more than one thing. At first, we were like a Swiss Army knife that could basically take on any type of Marketing or Development project you could throw at us. And today we continue to specialize more and more in the development of software and mobile technologies since more than 90% of users online surf the web or use apps on their phones. There’s a huge need for teams that can deliver quickly without having to resort to astronomical budgets or lengthy setups.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We are proud to say 90% of all our work is done in-house all around the globe.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
Most of our competition is very large older powerhouses with very little room to grow or experiment. We can compare them to Goliath, basically structures with a large set of rules and regulations that are set in stone and thus very difficult to pivot or change certain ways of doing things. Whereas for us, we are more like David who may be smaller in comparison to size, but are young, swift, can make decisions very quickly and pivot our strategies that use the Agile Methodology.
What industries do you generally cater to?
We cater to mostly the E-commerce, and Medical Industries.
Are your customers repetitive?
Yes, they are.
If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
100% of clients have either become repeat clients or have used our services in other aspects of their businesses.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Most clients approach us for developing state-of-the-art mobile solutions or APPS that help their E-commerces touch base with their customers to offer more engaging and interactive experiences.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
Our customer Satisfaction rate is 100% and I say this because we are not satisfied with our work till the client gives us the thumbs up.

We take just 2 steps in making sure the client's needs and requirements are met.
The first step is constantly keeping a flow of communication through slack, email, or telephone. If a client needs a meeting we will always make time for them.

The second step is to profoundly go through testing TOGETHER, and the reason so is to make sure that we see all the changes/adjustments that are needed all at once even after we have done our own testing to just make sure for the 4th time that this APP or E-commerce is exactly what the clients want but most certainly needs.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
As stated before we use multiple channels of communication with our clients like this they feel absolutely ‘listened to’.  Slack is where most of the communication goes, Trello is where the project management happens and the client may have a bird’s eye view of what’s going on, and email is for validating our steps and processes going forward. Zoom & Telephone calls happen every other day to make sure that all issues are resolved in a timely manner if they arise.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
Depending on our project, we usually construct a payment structure based on Milestones and development completeness in order to not only validate our progress but to continue to build a long-term relationship that’s built on delivering and not only trust.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement?
Yes, we do.
If yes, what is the minimum requirement?
The minimum requirement for a basic E-commerce is 5k. And for a Mobile App, it would be around 25k.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
The minimum we have worked on for the year 2020 was around 5.3k and our largest was well over 7 figures.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We will be giving billions of users the best experiences to be had on mobile devices, be it in real life or Virtual Reality. Basically what we are doing today but times 10!

Grillz.com was a leaky bucket that had more than 30,000 Hits but with less than 0.001 % Conversions.

The UX/UI experience didn’t lead the traffic from search engines to convert on the website even though the service and quality was on par with the competition.

The terms of use and privacy were to be updated and accessible to the customer to help avoid more than 1 million dollars worth of losses due to charge backs and unclear terms of use.

There was no customer service online, so Frenchy had to create and implement a chat bot to help decrease the amount of re-occurring questions that grillz.com was receiving from customers who just wanted more information.

Grillz.com representatives had no time to actually create the “Grillz” they were to busy manning the phones and wasting precious time on the creation of the jewelry. Frenchy did a complete facelift of the design, the user experience, and implemented tactics to decrease the number of inquiries via telephone to increase the actual number of conversions, and lead generation by more than 1000%.

Review Summary

I’m CEO and owner of JanvierLA that is a premium jewelry company in Downtown Los Angeles. My role is to manage the business operations and manage the development of the company internally with external partners. As we looked into the different requirements and modifications we wanted to implement in our e-commerce, we realized it would be more cost-effective to have an expert create our own customized one via a platform like Shopify. Frenchy Digital our neighbor and partner built a customized e-commerce using the Shopify platform. We worked with 1 full-time developer and a Product Manager. I met Frenchy Digital as they were literally neighbors to our business but also looked up other providers on google in which they came up on top.

Shopify Development for Jewelry Store in Downtown Los Angeles

What service was provided as part of the project?

Mobile App Development, Web Development, E-commerce Development

Describe your project in brief

We began our partnership in October 2021, and it’s ongoing. We’ve received a lot of positive feedback from our end clients, saying the Website gives them easy access to our contact form and that we are able to schedule meetings very easily. Thanks to the system they created, an email capture and a chat bot, we were able to get an average of 10 leads a day. They’re persistent and diligent. We have bi monthly status calls to make sure everything is going as planned plus communications via slack on a day to day basis. Frenchy was highly responsive and accommodating to our busy schedules. It’s very difficult to get partners this flexible on our timelines.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

They finished building the product and now regularly make modifications and add new features as we grow.

Review Summary

I'm the owner of a Construction Contracting Company.

Our website was a One pager on WIX and it was very obsolete. We wanted a website that could process payments, but also send invoices to prospects and clients. We also wanted a service that enables the users to sign documents sent after starting a project and for them to keep track of the works while we were constructing their property. Frenchy reached out to us via LinkedIn. We liked how they went about telling us about their services and since we were looking to re-do our website to be mobile friendly, it was almost a pre-determined partnership. Zaid their salesman was incredibly helpful and very responsive so we liked that approach and felt like we could trust them. Step 1 after we signed with Frenchy we had a kickoff meeting. That’s where we gave them all our login info, Go-daddy details, and then they structured a game plan for the project and the milestones we would need to achieve in order to finish the project on time. We were in contact with Jasmine the whole time as she was the Technical Project Manager working with us. She helped elaborate on what needed to be done in order for us to create the necessary content and also define the steps our clients would take when signing the forms or creating their special requirements for the construction jobs they’d want us to do. We basically left Wix and went with a more advanced Wordpress with Frenchy’s recommendations.

What was the project name that you have worked with Frenchy Digital L.L.C.?

Needed a Website Revamp and a Special Lead Gen Quiz built from scratch.

What service was provided as part of the project?

Mobile App Development, Web Development

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

We gave them feedback and they were always on top of things and making us super happy with the quality of the development that was delivered.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Not much to say, Frenchy took us by the hand and made the payments super easy on us even during COVID. We are very thankful by their flexibility and humanity.

Review Summary

When Frenchy took over management they introduced us to Jasmine the technical manager during our kickoff meeting. They asked to be added to our social media accounts as admin‘s to fully audit our accounts. They also asked our Go Daddy domain‘s logins and our word press login information in order to make sure that the app that they will creates will be easily integrated Into our current system. This lasted a couple of weeks. After their audit was completed they filled in the missing information and connected the pixel data to our website from the social media in order to make sure tracking was optimized. They found so many issues with the current tracking system and gave us a report of what was done after the second week. Before they initiated the ads they had a meeting with us in order to confirm strategy, Ad copy, and creative. They also re-branded our online image after the third week since we also had issues with our Google platform.

Once the social media clean up and ad campaigns were launched on Facebook and Instagram, they started working on our in-house app that would rely on react technology. We created the features together during a meeting with Jasmine and the technical team. Once we defined all the technical aspects of the app they gave us a more detailed quote of how much it would cost in order for everything to be developed. They helped us define an MVP during that technical meeting. At first they would develop the core features that we needed in order to structure our clinics organization better and then the features that were not necessarily needed in the MVP. So First we created a special scheduling system, calendar, and appointment booking system in order to already fix most of our organizational issues. The process of creating this special app and integrating it through react and WordPress took about three months in total. Since there are still features of the app that we did not create we are still on going with certain features but are pretty satisfied with the results already.

Frenchy helped us create also a virtual app that connects to the oculus platform. The goal was to make a virtual reality experience for those who suffer from traumatizing events, phobias, and addictions. They brought all the material needed and the machines so that our patients could use the system. They also helped our psychologists to create protocols for the patients using the software.

What service was provided as part of the project?

Mobile App Development, Web Development

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Frenchy is an exceptional partner and extremely knowledgeable in their fields though vast. Having extensive knowledge on Facebook ads, Google ads and even enterprise mobile app development was truly the fact that made us go with them and not other agencies that were only specialized in one aspect. This gave us complete confidence in their abilities to deliver and thus we stay partners. Also the fact being that their team is young shocks us but gives us confidence in their drive to always bring new ideas to the table.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

There are no areas for improvement for us, they’ve been exceptional.

Review Summary

Our website was a typical spa website without much design. We wanted something more user friendly for our patients and that embodied our brand for future growth and more diverse services.
Frenchy was a referral from another spa they’ve worked with revamping their website. We found Frenchy to be responsive, and reasonable with the goal of making this website the best possible site it can be.
Jasmine makes you feel like you’re the most important client she has ever worked with. She is patient, she listens to our needs and provides novel ideas and thinks outside the box. She was brought on the team after signing with Frenchy Digital as our Technical PM. We needed to completely revamp our web experience and re do our policies to be completely compliant as a Medical Spa. We started with a kickoff meeting to get all our information to Frenchy using Drop box, slack as a communication channel and Trello for project management. Frenchy made everything very understandable and user friendly since we never had a team like them before.

What service was provided as part of the project?

Web Development

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

What do we like most? They're awesome and the results are showing! Our website is SUPER FAST. That’s not an understatement, they were able to make a google score above 80 for mobile which we have rarely seen for websites like our own. Even if it’s relatively new we've already received some great feedback on its design from our patients who really love the way it looks to book their appointments. The user experience is fluid and not confusing anymore!

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Nothing!

They gave us a professional site that's easy to update and use. My team has never worked with Shopify before, so they took the time to teach us how to update the content ourselves. We really like their implementations in the trainings they gave us and truly see them as a
Long term partner that will be playing a key role in our success.

What service was provided as part of the project?

Web Development

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

We had daily updates with Jasmine, who communicated with the rest of the team. If there were any delays, they let us know ahead of time so that we could prepare. We used text, Gmail, and Trello to coordinate, and they worked well with our team.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

When we first launched, we had some minor changes that were decided last minute but that made the launch go a little slower than predicted. We let them know, and they were quick to do the adjustments but we only lost 24h. They then made up by their intense dedication to making the project go live with no bugs or flaws. Shopify the platform itself had a worldwide update so even then they were on top of it. We appreciate their communication on this and always kept us updated on things that weren’t necessarily their fault but that did have an impact on the website.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

They don’t only execute what we tell them; they also come up with a better solution and strategy. They think outside the box and spend plenty of time thinking about ideas. They truly cares about the companies they work with, and I’ve never seen other businesses go way above and beyond to make things easier. Every time an issue appears, Frenchy Digital does independent research — they figure things out.  Overall, they’re such a good company. For many, it’s so easy to sit back, not think outside the box, and just execute what needs to be done — it’s human nature to take the easy way out. However, Frenchy Digital doesn’t do that. If I have their work ethics, communication, and transparency, I’ll be tenfold more successful than I am now. In other words, they inspire me to do better.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

There aren’t any things that I cna think of. I don’t know what they can do better because they’re a good company. They’re transparent, honest, on time, and responsive, so I can’t think of any areas of improvement.

Frenchy Digital did a full audit of our online presence and laid out the basic structure that we should follow in order to make sure our business grows effectively. They took from a birds eye view, decisions on our web design and customer experience to make Vnus Box more adaptable to its growing customer base. We were on Cratejoy to start, but where looking to develop on Shopify or Wordpress to fit our needs for more customization.

We wanted our platform to develop into a multi channel hub that not only sells products but that sells its own products and also create an affiliate marketing portal for partners and representatives.

Frenchy gave us knowledge on the industry that we didn’t have before in order to make decisions on what functionalities the website should have. They completely developed from scratch a mobile friendly website that’s still being updated at the moment, but it’s a huge step forward for Vnus.

Frenchy helped establish relationships with other business owners to help develop our brand and awareness in our local community but also help us develop our pitch for potential investors.

Frenchy also gave us insight and helped us onboard and build an internal team for more fluid operations and streamlined communication to our partners.

What service was provided as part of the project?

Web Development

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Frankly, it felt like we had hired 2 experts on our business at a fraction of the price. It’s crazy how much they’re helping us out not only on the development of the website but Vnus in general. They restructured our organization. Lisa checks in with us Daily and she makes our jobs so much easier as we have to source and create our new product line with no real experience in the industry.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Sometimes we like asking for a lot and they say yes to everything. Just push back a little and stay firm on what direction we should go on.
