Real Estate

The Store Capital website did not clearly present the variety of solutions they offered as a leader in middle market real estate capital solutions (REITs). The website feedback they were receiving was confusion and frustration in not being able to find the content that was most important to users both internal and external. The videos,  content and design was also outdated and did not match their brand as a leader in their market, nor did it match their business goals and position in the industry.

The Action

We started with a solid understanding of the brand and business needs from the stakeholders. Next we did a competitive analysis to understand how competitors were differentiating themselves in the competitive landscape. Then came data analysis to understand how users were navigating through the site and where they were dropping off and not completing user tasks.

We came to the table with a strategy that tied together user needs, business needs and their competitive differentiation, or value proposition. This included a complete restructuring of the site architecture as well as updated content, a more modern look and updated video content to match the current messaging and growth of the company.

The Results

With improved information architecture and ease of use, Store Capital’s new website offers a vastly improved user experience. Visitors to the site can easily find solutions directly from the home page, responsive design makes mobile usage just as easy as desktop, and refreshed video content modernizes the company’s image while engaging visitors.

Using tech to make the world beyond the barriers of accessible

One of the challenges we faced was building for an audience of people with disabilities who need to easily find the information that is important to them in a minimal amount of clicks. Visitors needed to easily search inventory of VMI’s dealership partners, find product details, sales events and financing programs.

Beyond the barriers of accessible user experience

Gate6 was tasked with simplifying the navigation to help users quickly find the pages that matter most. We also helped the brand make an emotional connection with users through visually engaging imagery and layouts. Additionally, we had to ensure that business needs, dealership needs and user needs were all met while integrating with existing, complicated backend legacy systems.

The action

With a clear understanding of the backend architecture and systems, we approached the redesign with a user first focus, but keeping in mind that each functionality change could impact many areas of the website and back end systems.

The killer results!

The new VMI website uses a variety of imagery which establishes an emotional connection and guides visitors through the content with clearer navigation. Product interactions like the 360- degree video tours help visitors feel like they’re in a showroom, even from the comfort of their own homes. VMI’s improved website helps its customers and prospects get what they need faster, which also means more traffic for dealership partners – all while maintaining legacy inventory systems to meet business needs.

Financial & Payments

Global Water owns and operates regulated water and wastewater utilities and is one of the world’s leading innovators in total water management. Each municipality they serve has its own individual deployment, where the system keeps track of water usage and provides billing services. They asked gate6 to create a way for Global Water’s busy customers to look up their water usage, get account information and make payments.

Solution

gate6 seamlessly tied the existing account and usage information systems at Global Water to customer-friendly android and iPhone apps. This allowed customers to quickly and easily access info and pay bills, anywhere and at any time. In addition, any updates they made from their desktop, over the phone or using these apps could be seen nearly instantaneously.

Transportation & Logistics

Knight-Swift Transportation is a billion-dollar publicly traded, truckload motor shipping carrier headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. As the largest truckload carrier in the U.S., they wanted to help their carrier partners by providing them with a way to find, book, and run loads more easily. They left this significant project in the capable hands of gate6.

Analysis

Knight transportation is a massive and multi-regional business, with many lines of business that employ drivers, managers, and staff. Their recruiting efforts include a wide portfolio of offerings from employee positions to contracted partner carriers to veterans services. Their site needed to adequately highlight all that Knight can offer to prospective employees and partners, and draw special attention to their unique corporate culture. gate6 determined that the recruiting arm of Knight needed a focused site that could highlight all of their talking points and engage multiple user groups on a personal level

Solution

The DriveKnight site is a responsive, visually-driven site that combines pointed recruiting messages with an easy, mobile-friendly job application capability. In order to help Knight stand out from the 450,000 other trucking companies in the industry, we created a fresh, focused site that honed in on the message of corporate culture, and drove visitors to application pages in order to convert visitors into applicants. The site provides clear calls to action on each page, options to connect with recruiters or apply online, and a searchable database of open positions that could be accessed with any device. We also provided enhanced visual representations and tailored icons with text to better convey the benefits to on-the-go applicant’s.

  • Used gyro data and pool-tech movements to develop an algorithm that tracks time spent brushing, skimming and vacuuming a pool
  • Pool techs track and upload all aspects of pool service through a mobile app
  • Managers review data and address issues in real-time through a highly sophisticated analytics dashboard

Client Wins

  • On-site issues handled quickly
