Very satisfying

Very satisfying as the Project Manager is very supportive to all the requirements, he can remember the requirements to the details and able to provide feedback if some of the requirements are actually clashing with each other. He also able to provide solutions and explain the solution in very detailed manner, to get the layman users like us to understand.

This is a project to provide online platform for applicants to self service submit application online, and checks the eligibility of the applicants in joining the programme applied according to the entry requirement engine built in this platform, which ultimately auto issuing Offer Letter to the qualified applicants.

Excellent technology vendor

Everyone in GR Tech was easy to work with. They were very professional and responded to us. It was clear that they invested themselves into their software development process and most importantly, they stuck to their price estimates and delivered the system we requested on time. They were great communicators, so we never felt left out in the dark throughout the development process.

With 200+ delivered projects, GR Tech is an exemplary provider of global IT software solutions to medium and large businesses and institutions. The company began its operation in 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Believing in the adherence to the highest standards of quality and excellence, we adopted the term “Golden Ratio” as our name, which is recognized as the term reflecting eminence and perfection in the field of design.

I’m the founder and CEO of GR Tech. Over the last decade, I’ve raised a team of 40+ people who have built scalable, feature-rich software solutions for clients globally.
What is the story behind starting this company?
My entrepreneurial journey began with a passion for using technology as a tool for empowerment and progress. I founded GR Tech, a custom software development company, with the goal of democratizing access to technology and helping local businesses succeed.

Despite facing challenges and competition, we remain committed to our mission of empowering local businesses and communities through technology. We were driven by the belief that technology has the power to level the playing field, but that access to it is often unevenly distributed, usually starting with big companies.

At GR Tech, we want to change that. We want to empower local economies and businesses by providing them with the same technological tools and solutions that larger companies have access to. Through our efforts, we have been able to help over 200 businesses improve their operations and contribute to the national economy.

We have seen firsthand the positive impact that technology can have on local businesses, helping them to create new jobs and grow their operations. And it's not just the businesses we've worked with that have seen success, some of them have garnered amazing success and have become industry leaders.

What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We build software for different types of businesses and engage with them in different roles. But our primary focus is to work with institutes and companies in the education industry who want to hire an entire tech team, including designers, developers, and analysts, to work on their software.

We also provide our customers with dedicated developers on an hourly and project basis, in case they want to only hire a handful of developers, and now an entire team.

We have a very high ratio of recurring clients, in fact, over 80% of our clients are recurring. What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
I think it’s fair to say that 90% of our customers are 100% satisfied with our work and its outcomes.

We focus a lot on gathering the right requirements, understanding the scope of a project, and setting up the right expectations with our customers. We make it a point to deliver on what we promise. On top of that, documentation plays a huge role in how we build, and deliver software. It also helps our clients maintain their software better.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Each project has two client-facing individuals: an Analyst and a Project Manager. Both of them act as a support system for each project or client, where they handle escalations, understand client concerns, and decide how to implement client feedback for improvement.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We have a flexible payment structure for our clients. From charging them hourly, to having fixed-cost projects, pay-per-feature projects, or phase-based. We try our best to accommodate what fits our clients' needs and a project’s requirements.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Providing the highest quality of work to our clients can’t happen if we cut corners, that’s why our budget requirement is fair as per the market. We also assess projects based on the value they bring to our work, and because of that, in some cases, the budget becomes less significant.

We also know how important our client’s time is, that’s why we pour extra effort into timely execution and planning. We make sure our delivery is always on time, so our clients can save one of their best assets.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2022?
How about I give you a hint? The projects we work on range between $20K to $500K. We also onboarded 15 new clients (medium to large-scale organizations) and grew our team size by 10 new members across the globe.
