Halo Labs has worked on improving our React Native mobile app. We had the skeleton of an app, but they were able to do an end-to-end re-design of each of the main pages. Since then, they’ve successfully implemented around ~20 different features on our mobile app. We share a spec and design, they provide an estimate and occasionally some design options, then when completed create a PR on GitHub.
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
Their communication is top-notch.They are super easy to work with even though we are on very different time zones. And, I am impressed at the speed and execution of their development.

Halo was terrific with their project and time management. We worked with them daily via Slack and Figma comments. Often, we left requests, dreams, and edits by end of day and woke up the next morning to find most everything done or in process. It was fun going through such a creative partner who added so much expertise and value to the work product. Sometimes we asked for things that weren't the best idea, and the Halo team carefully gave us rationale and other options to achieve the same goals. But they also didn't force their opinions on us. In the end, it was our final product, and they deferred to us for final decisions.

The National Christian Foundation (NCF) is U.S. charity that helps donors give wisely to the charitable causes they care about most. Our innovative solutions and highly personalized service help donors give more strategically and with greater purpose. Since 1982, generous givers at NCF have mobilized more than $16 billion for 71,000 churches, ministries, and charities.
Halo recreated our existing another portal with a completely new experience and interface that is much more modern and beautiful, greatly increasing usability and delight for the end user. We had about 100 different screens and variations to design, and Halo partnered with us with expert visual design and usability recommendations.
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
Halo's deep expertise in UX/UI was evident throughout the project, and their consistency was key: once we made an important UI decision, they meticulously applied it to all screens nicely.
What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?
Our only improvement area for Halo would be clearer communications. Because we were in the U.S. and Halo is in Ukraine, occasionally there were language or clarity gaps. But it was nothing big or too difficult to overcome.

On top of their talented designers, I'd give special notice to their communication. Our feedback was heard, and at no point did we feel "abandoned" or ignored by the Halo team. Made the experience all that more pleasant.

After the first concept stages, PM sent us the design file or any updates before he got off work, and we got the outcome in the morning on our end. We consider smooth, trustworthy coworking and communication to be the most crucial role in overseas collaboration.

Along with a deep understanding of the UX flow and our product, Halo Lab hasn't stopped to suggest effective solutions from small details to big flow changes. Thanks to the advice, we were able to improve a few points such as combining the onboarding flow and collecting user info method.

We had needs to design our product called routine hero which helps people to make their own routines and stick to them. We had the ability to plan and develop the service, but we needed professional help with the design aspect. So we searched for design studios on Behence, and Instagram and decided to work with Halolab. We spent 2 months working with Halo Lab, and thanks to Halo Lab, we were able to have a final result with great satisfaction.

They feel like friends of our team, and we enjoyed the collaboration time. It is not all about the fantastic results we have from them, we are truly touched that they were deeply involved in our project and sincere care.

Just like any collaboration, we also had to reject making one or two big suggestions associated with the design concept and ask them to reconsider. However, they took our concern significantly and responded extremely promptly. After the negotiation, the trust became tighter and stronger.
