Post News is a place where social media natives can discover, read, watch, discuss, and share news content and publishers can distribute and monetize their paywalled content. The Post's business model offers to pay only for what you read (per article) and helps preserve independent journalism.

The Master of Code Global team was involved in the Post project development from the very beginning when the founders requested to build a demo version of the Post web application. The hard parameter was time, so we stepped into the dynamic phase of building the core functionality needed for the basic validation of the idea.

We started the development based on the open-source software for running self-hosted social networking services for the Backend, as it allowed us to build the demo version really quickly and drastically decreased the total time needed for the development.

We engaged a top US broadcasting brand providing satellite radio and streaming services that serves over 30 million subscribers across North America. Their services are available in-car, on their mobile app, offer specialty services designed specifically for business, and is the exclusive home of major media personalities, plus extensive programming for music, news, sports and comedy.

Through our work, Master of Code has successfully created a personable, guided conversational interface that utilizes a variety of design and development best practices. While already performing exceptionally well, MOC will work with the satellite radio brand to continue improving the chabot and its metrics.

This includes utilizing emerging technologies, additional natural language understanding and new conversational AI approaches such as proactive messaging. Looking ahead we will continue to closely monitor conversations and performance to identify new optimization opportunities to help make an already great customer experience even better!

Master of Code in collaboration with Esso’s agency of record BBDO Canada, created the first-ever bilingual (English and French) conversational hockey ‘Pass the Puck’ game as a Messenger Chatbot.

The goal: to get as many Canadians playing the game and ultimately have the puck travel to all of the nation’s three coastlines.

During the five-week campaign, more than 84,000 Canadians engaged with the Pass the Puck chatbot, with 69,896 signing up and 65,416 playing it. This means of all users who signed up, less than 6% left the game during the campaign period. The puck was passed to all three Canadian coasts and all provinces and territories in its first four days of being in production.

Pucks traveled to more than 2,500 towns, the largest being Toronto, ON and the smallest was in Key West No. 70, SK, a town with a population of just 309 people. The puck traveled more than 1,240,000,000 KMs during the period, or about 31,000+ times around the world.

Kittch founders: veteran and entrepreneur Brian Bedol (who founded the sports channels that would become ESPN Classic and CBS Sports Network); Doug DeLuca, a co executive producer on Jimmy Kimmel Live; and Elana Karp, the former head chef and cofounder of Plated, wanted to create Twitch for chefs.

They came to us with the idea and passion to create a streaming platform for chefs to share their experience and start the monetization of their knowledge. A platform where both chefs and visitors could have an environment for cooking and conversing. Chefs can create their profile with a detailed description, list their recipes, and create online streams. Visitors with different subscription options (paid and free), receive personalized notifications about new stream sessions from their favorite chefs.

To book a tour, a consumer needs to be inspired, informed and validated about the trip. 62% of the travelers say that media content has the biggest influence on decision-making. The problem is that its nearly impossible for travel companies to collect, organize and display media content like photos, 3D panoramas and videos effectively. So, we developed Tagible for Travel to help travel companies increase bookings by inspiring potential customers to take action. Just one JS code line integrated into the clients site lets them add the keywords which contain photos, videos, and 3D views to engage customers and motivate users to book a tour.

Tagible for Travel admin panel has two different modes: for customers and for content curators. Customer mode contains dashboard with Curate site option to manage content on the site directly and analytics with data comparison with and without Tagible for Travel usage.

The keywords look entirely native to each client site, as Tagible for Travels overlay styles are customized for every customer according to the corporate identity, design style and colour scheme. The pop-ups with media content are displayed for every keyword with a simple click.To increase conversion each popup has a call to action like Book online or Get a quote that are replicating native client sites call to action buttons.

There was a challenge to curate millions of keywords and their variants. For example, customers use different spellings for the same keyword, so we decided to group them to reduce curation time and costs. For example, Paris keyword contains Paris, PARIS, City of Light and some other spellings, but as a group it was curated once.

As for the backend, Tagible for Travel provided us with an opportunity to use rather new and promising Go programming language by Google as the primary technology for developing backend part. Using Golang increases the performance by up to 60% compared to other backend languages such as PHP, Ruby or even JAVA.

The project happened because of the unique problem that all four TrapTap creators had: there was no simple, cheap and legal way to avoid speeding tickets. So, they created a distraction-free device that sits on a vehicle's dash. It maps areas with speed traps, school zones, and red light cameras by using GPS and warns you of potential driving hazards.

The MOC team worked on the project by using a feature-by-feature approach in a short phase. Each sprint lasted for 2-3 weeks. They comprised new feature development, location, database and battery usage optimization and provided workarounds for issues caused by different Bluetooth behaviors of various Android devices.

The app and the device work simultaneously with Bluetooth, location, and networking, which influence a phone battery a lot. Also, we had some Bluetooth issues caused by different vendors' smartphone peculiarities. We solved those issues by fixing the RxAndroidBle library.

By using the 'Help and support' button in the app, the user can connect to a customer support specialist to get online consultation via Intercom. We continue with hazard mapping, develop new locations, make bug fixes and usage optimizations.

iOS and Android apps for the world's largest online retailer of bags and accessories for all lifestyles.

eBags is a mobile application designed to provide a mobile shopping experience for eBags (largest bags retailer in the world) customers. The app features cool visual product search algorithms to match products by pictures taken by customers of similar products they have seen elsewhere (on the street, online, etc.) The app also serves as a mobile interface to eBags inventory shopping. Customers can also benefit from easy-use push notifications designed for discounted shopping based on different sales events.

In e-commerce app development, you really need to make sure the architecture is perfect. If something seems not obvious, tricky to the customer, or doesn't work well enough, he will not make an order. So we made a detailed wireframe.

The first phase was launched on March 4, and the Connected tags was released on August 20. After almost 8 months, eBags app was installed more than 40k times.

Master of Code created the appointment booking Aveda Chatbot, with an additional feature set to connect users to their customer service team.

The Master of Code Team created a rich, engaging, guided conversational experience that allowed users to seamlessly select an Aveda store nearest them using Google’s API, a complimentary beauty service, choose their preferred date and time, and confirm their appointment all within the bot experience.

Once the bot was launched, the Master of Code Team worked with Aveda to create a paid social campaign across Facebook and Instagram to promote Aveda’s featured service, a 20 minutes Custom Mini Facial, with an additional gift with purchase offer.

The first chatbot for surfers on the Facebook Messenger platform. WSL chatbot was built on the Chatfuel platform. Google Site Search plugin has been set up in the bot allows users to search for athletes bios by entering their search queries directly in Facebook Messenger. Customized RSS feeds were generated to provide information about schedules and events, latest news and WSL athletes list. Users are also offered to subscribe to notifications about live events and receive personalized digest based on their subscriptions list.
