Describe your project in brief
Brookfield Properties assesses management fees based on the activity booked to various general ledger accounts found in the company’s ERP, which are selected to match the requirements of the property management agreement. As the ERP does not provide an efficient and accurate way to automate the calculation and recording of management fees, Brookfield Properties has historically maintained a custom solution, based on Microsoft Access, to calculate the current period fees to be assessed and to generate the associated journal entries. In an effort to modernize and increase the maintainability of this solution, Brookfield Properties undertook an effort to replace the Microsoft Access based solution with a custom web-based solution, in our custom applications portal hosted in azure.
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
We've been able to work together as one team even though we each work from our own offices. They've become an extension of my internal IT Support team while the project is under development and during implementation.
What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?
No real cons.
