Software Development

SECL Group team built our custom-made web solution from scratch. Since 2019, they have proved to be our trusted technology partner, which provides us with qualitative and professional software engineering services. We approached this company with a rough idea, and their business analysts, designers, and developers helped us automate our business process by developing a user-friendly digital platform. Worth to mention that technical implementation has helped us a lot to move forward. I highly recommend the team as a reliable software development company and really appreciate their efforts in bringing our business to the next level!

Please provide your feedback on how Goodfirms has contributed to increasing your visibility among potential clients.

Goodfirms is a great directory of companies that develop web solutions. Today, it helps us show up in AI tools like ChatGPT while also bringing us leads directly from the platform.

Please introduce your company and describe your role within the organization.

I’m the CEO and founder of SECL Group. We specialize in custom web development, with a particular focus on building enterprise solutions for internal use. We work with clients across retail and e-commerce, IT and digital, finance, and automotive. More recently, we’ve been working a lot with AI and developing AI-powered solutions.

What inspired the founding of your company, and what is the story behind its inception?

Back in 2005, I was a software developer and decided to start my own company so I could work on larger and more complex systems. Since then, we’ve improved year after year and worked on increasingly complex systems, such as the Dealer Network Management Platform for Kia, which involved more than 100,000 hours of development. Today, there’s nothing we consider impossible. We take on the most technically challenging projects in our field, and we really enjoy working on large-scale solutions.

What are the core values and principles that drive your company's culture, and how do you ensure alignment with these values across your team?

At the heart of our culture is a focus on continuous development and improvement. This applies both to the company as a whole and to every individual employee. I really like the Japanese management concept of Total Quality Management, which is all about continuously improving the way we work — and that’s exactly what we do.
We also have extensive employee development programs. First, we assess each specialist’s professional knowledge and skills. Then we create an individual six-month development plan. Twice a year, we conduct a review and create a new development plan, with a group of our experts evaluating both hard and soft skills. Compensation increases are also tied to this review.

As a result, everyone on our team is constantly developing. Today, all of our employees are at the senior level or above, which is quite unusual for a service company and something we’re very proud of.

Can you highlight some of the key achievements or milestones your company has accomplished since its inception?

We became an international company almost from the very beginning and now work with clients in 27 countries around the world, including PepsiCo, Kia, Danone, British American Tobacco, Crédit Agricole, and many others. We’ve also received international recognition for our design work, including Awwwards and the Behance Interaction Award.

Could you explain your company's business model? Do you primarily operate with an in-house team or utilize third-party vendors/outsourcing?

We have an in-house team, with our development offices based in Eastern Europe and Latin America, and our sales offices in Western Europe and the US. We mainly work under two models: outsourcing, where we handle projects end-to-end, and outstaffing, where we provide dedicated specialists.

How does your company differentiate itself from competitors in the industry?

We have strong industry expertise, particularly in Retail & E-commerce, IT & Telecom, Automotive, Manufacturing, Finance, and several other areas. We also specialize in developing enterprise systems, including AI-powered solutions.

How would you describe the dynamics within your team, and how do you foster collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals?

According to LinkedIn, our employees have been with us for more than five years on average, and that number continues to grow. We strive to create a great working environment for our people, and in return, they value being part of the company and do their best in their work. We also strongly encourage proactivity and continuous learning. As a result, we’ve built a strong and positive culture within our team.

What measures do you take to support the professional development and growth of your employees? Do you offer training programs or opportunities for skill enhancement?

Yes, definitely. We have individual development plans, performance reviews every six months, skill matrices for each specialization and level, unlimited access to paid courses, internal training webinars, internal hackathons, and much more. Continuous learning and employee development are among our strongest areas.

Could you share a notable success story or case study that exemplifies the impact your company has had on a client's business?

We’ve had many success stories like this. For example, one of our German clients was able to grow their business more than tenfold after we developed an enterprise system for them. It automated their day-to-day operations and helped them work with clients much more efficiently, allowing them to serve several times as many clients with the same team. Their testimonial is available on our profile on your platform.

What industries do you primarily cater to, and do you have a significant percentage of repeat clients? If so, what is the ratio of repeat clients?

Yes, most of our clients become long-term partners and work with us for many years. Some have been working with us for more than 10 years, and the average project length is 15.5 months.

In terms of industries, we work across Retail & E-commerce, IT & Telecom, Automotive, Manufacturing, and Finance. More recently, we’ve been working on a lot of digital projects, including various AI-native services.

What initiatives does your company undertake to foster innovation and stay at the forefront of industry trends? Do you invest in research and development projects?

Yes, we even have our own startups, some of them quite large and innovative. We’re also constantly exploring and adopting new tools. For example, this year we introduced Claude Code and Claude Design, which are still not widely used by companies in our market. We started using Claude Design across all our projects just 11 days after its release, and it reduced the time needed for design by 30–50%. In our industry, innovation is essential to staying competitive and building a successful company.

Please share some of the most sought-after services that clients approach your company for.

Most often: Software Product Development, Software Audit, AI Agent Development, AI Integration, Product Discovery Phase, Dedicated Development Team, Custom Mapping Solutions.

How do you build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, and what mechanisms do you have in place for gathering and acting upon client feedback?

After every project, we make sure to collect feedback from our clients. We also track our Net Promoter Score, which needs to be at least 8 out of 10. Only satisfied clients become long-term partners, and building those long-term relationships is very important to us.

How has your company adapted to changes and challenges in the business landscape, and what strategies have you employed to ensure resilience and sustainability?

We’ve built a strong management structure with dedicated departments and clearly defined responsibilities. We place particular emphasis on systematic sales and HR. This structure helps us keep the business stable, and we’ve been successfully operating and growing in the market for more than 20 years, building the company into a team of 70 full-time employees.

What payment structure do you typically follow when billing clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, or Pay per Milestone (phases, months, versions, etc.)?

We work on a fixed-price or time-and-materials basis. Most often, this means payment for the hours spent. But before starting a project, we always provide a very detailed estimate broken down by tasks and stay within those estimated hours.

Do you accept projects that meet your basic budget requirements? If yes, what is the minimum budget requirement? If no, what is the minimum budget you have worked with in the past?

We don’t have a fixed minimum project budget, but typically, projects range from $5,000–$10,000 to several million dollars.

Can you provide an overview of the price range (minimum and maximum) of the projects your company worked on in 2025?

On average, our projects range from $100,000 to $500,000, with several dozen projects running simultaneously.

What technological capabilities does your company possess, and are there any ongoing or planned investments in technology infrastructure or tools to enhance your services?

Technology Stack & Capabilities:
  • AI (Pytorch/TensorFlow, LangGraph/LangChain)
  • PHP (Laravel, Symfony, Yii, WordPress)
  • Python (Django, FastAPI)
  • JavaScript (Angular, React, Nest.js, Vue.js, Nuxt, Express, Node.js)
  • Java (Hibernate, Spring)
  • .NET, SharePoint, Power Platform
  • ServiceNow
  • Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Where do you envision your company in the next 10 years? What are your long-term goals and aspirations for growth and development?

In 10 years, I see us being half a service company and half a product company, with a strong focus on AI projects. I hope that by then, we’ll have grown to more than 1,000 full-time employees across 10+ countries. Overall, we’re already halfway there, at least based on what I can see from where we stand today.
