Solution Analysts is an enterprise software development company headquartered in Ahmedabad, India. The company started developing customized mobile applications back in 2011. Over a period, Solution Analysts has evolved by integrating technological advancements in the personalized web, eCommerce, and IoT solutions. As a Founder and CEO, I look after the company’s operations and provide strategic vision from my experience of over fifteen years in the technology domain. What was the idea behind starting this organization?

Well, it is difficult to mention various objectives behind establishing Solution Analysts at this juncture, but the central idea was to bring automation to the client’s business processes and enhance convenience. Solution Analysts was founded in 2011 when outsourcing was gaining ground. However, I have always kept the focus on providing end-to-end IT solutions to the corporate clients under one roof. For example, clients can get app marketing, app maintenance, and all mobile app-related services at Solution Analysts. It can save valuable time and efforts of our clients. Thanks to the client-centric approach of our dedicated app and web developers, my company can offer in-house teams for all sorts of software solutions. We have 120+ experienced professionals who have skills in developing high-end solutions as per industry needs and market trends. Recently, we have forayed into IoT app development and started building teams to develop customized solutions using emerging technologies like IoT and Blockchain.

However, I would like to mention here that if the project requirements are precise and the roadmap fixed, the app development will take less time. Most of our clients want business apps for both the major platforms. They have a clear roadmap on app platform and features. But, if they are perplexed by Android and iOS platforms, our team of experts carefully examine every aspect of the client’s business process to give useful suggestions. We consider market trends and the client’s business model as well. At times, we suggest our clients opt for a cross-platform app if they want to target both iOS and Android-using audience in a limited budget. We have a team of cross-platform app developers who can build awesome apps using Ionic React JS and React Native platforms. From easy customization to cost-effectiveness, the cross-platform app can offer several business benefits.

Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?

The choice of the platform depends on the app category (the theme of the app), targeted region and audience, and the client’s budget. If the client wants to go with only one platform, and the app targets Indian or Asian market, we suggest the client go for an Android app first and then bring an iOS app. At Solution Analysts, we do extensive research and analyze the client’s core requirements. If a native app is the right solution for the client, we suggest it. What is more important for the business is to improve their online visibility and leverage the benefits of a thriving mobile platform. So, our first recommendation, even for a startup, is to bring a business app. As I’ve mentioned earlier, we assist them in building a competent app in a cost-efficient way.

What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?

The largest factor to decide the cost of a business mobile app is the scope of the project. Other key factors related to the user’s experience include:

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

Fixed Cost, Time & Material, and Dedicated Team are typical pricing models that we follow from the client’s requirements and the clarity of the app project. Let me put it this way: when the conditions are defined clearly, and the roadmap built, we suggest our clients go with a fixed cost model. If the project requirements keep on changing during the development phase, the T&M model is preferable. We can also accept Pay per Milestone payment if the client wishes for it in line with the scope of the project.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

At Solution Analysts, the budget is not a constraint if the client comes with an excellent app concept. However, our bare minimum requirement for developing MVP is $5000. We believe in long-term relationships, and we would like to encourage innovative app ideas that have long-term potential. Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?

Again, it depends on market trends and app types. Looking at a growing competition in the app stores and the current trends, I would like to suggest entrepreneurs go for apps based on emerging technologies like blockchain, IoT, AI, and ML. Such futuristic and advanced apps have a better possibility of earning good revenue in a short time. On-demand apps is also an option to be taken into account. These apps can also generate a stream of income, but then, it depends on the overall business model. Finally, I would suggest that B2B and productivity-enhancing apps can work wonders in generating steady revenue.
