My Story

I am Norbert, and even as a half-German, I struggled with der, die, das. As my daughter was born and I started to talk in German with her, I wanted to make sure, she hears the right articles from early on.

Grammar books are not much help, and even if you find some rules, they are incomplete, dry and hard to remember – and the idea of the best ever Der, Die, Das app was born.

Learn 40 secret rules that even your German teacher doesn’t know about. We created the ‘Zoo of Rules’ – where walking across the zoo, you will find hand-drawn images and rules.

Tiger rule: Did you know that 70% of nouns ending in -er are masculine – meet the tiger rule! All colors are neuter and most fruits are feminine – and a lot more!

United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research reached out to Swiss Tomato to help with web portal development. Cyber Policy Portal is an online reference tool that maps the cybersecurity and cybersecurity-related policy landscape. Through concise and comprehensive profiles, it provides a rigorous, accessible and up-to-date overview of the cyber capacity of UN Member States and a select group of intergovernmental organizations. The portal structures a large database of cybersecurity documents with the help of map view, filters and comparison function. The documents can be also downloaded or shared with other users.

Mazda announced its new compact SUV, the Mazda CX-30 as a word premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2019, however the car was not yet available at the showrooms and we needed to generate some buzz around this truly exceptional SUV.

We have developed and a mobile app where users could simply project the car on the ground using AR (augmented reality) and interact with the car by customizing colours, open the doors and experience it from the inside or load the trunk with luggage. Clients could also discover the new model with in VR (virtual reality) using an Oculus Go headset.

Swiss Tomato was also responsible for the digital marketing activities (social media, newsletters, retargeting) behind this car launch. Mazda and its car dealer were delighted by this unique experience and the increase in new prospects and sales.

The app provides the insured with a quick and secure access to information on their health insurance coverage, like their insurance plans, the status of deductibles and co-insurance, premium and benefit invoices. You can also scan your invoices with your camera and submit them via the app. The app’s security is ensured by a strong authentication system.

The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie is the biggest professional fine watchmaking exhibition in the world. For their 2019 public opening in Geneva, they were looking to update the official SIHH app created by Swiss Tomato in previous years.

Swiss Tomato developed a tailored app focusing on the different participants of the event. A separate page is available for professionals with their personalized brand’s agenda, the public, as well as a restricted press area, where all relevant information can be found concerning SIHH 2019.

Indoor navigation via built-in map

A 3D map of the venue has been integrated which, working similar to Google Maps, will provide indoor navigation to the stands of all the exhibitors of the fine watchmaking world presented at SIHH. Through the exhibitors section of the app, the social feeds of all brands can be viewed with a link to get in touch with them directly, or to browse through their website and social media pages.

Outdoor navigation and shuttle

Due to the number of participants, a vast number of hotels have been contracted for the duration of the event, from which SIHH offers official transportation to the exhibition. The location and times of these shuttles can be found on their app along with directions by car and public transport.

An auditorium section is available on the app directly, where the program of all conferences can be found. These conferences were then uploaded in video format to the app for any future views by the participants and professionals.

What could be more adventurous than traveling to the Poles ? This was one of our favorite projects in 2019. The website needed to reflect the numerous colors of the region and the multiple choices of trips and cruises. We designed in details all icons, filters, popups and fields by categories for each menu.
