Tech Happily!

Our mission and mantra is to "Tech Happily", which means our client partners are happy with the development experience, happy with the software quality, and happy with the results. Additionally, our team of Tech9ers "Tech Happily" too. They experience meaningful and challenging work, no micromanagement, a full toolset, collaboration with each other, and collaboration with the client partner.

Origin Story

After years working in the tech industry we discovered a missing level of happiness. We were shocked by the huge percentage of software that got written but never used. Not happy. We were disappointed by software sent to clients that was clunky or user un-friendly. Not happy. And we were aware of too many clients who were frustrated communicating with a team that only spoke tech. Very not happy.

So we set out to create a software development company that builds the right thing, the right way—software that gets used. A place where customers are heard, understood, and ended up with products that are exactly what they are looking for. We built a company that creates “Cloud-9” level happiness for all.

E-commerce

In a competitive market, having the right website can increase your revenues and differentiate you from competitors. We built a website for Lashbrook which led to a 20% increase in revenue.

It was achieved through selling directly to consumers on an eCommerce platform with real-time image rendering. In the process, Tech9 leveraged multiple AWS services (S3 Storage, Cloudfront, Lambda@Edge, etc.) and increased the number of customization images by 999,900%.

Review Summary

My experience with custom software development teams has taught me that a good partner is someone who:
1. Listens to understand your business model, your customers, and the problem to be solved
2. Explores your ideas for solving the problem AND presents creative solutions of their own
3. Educates you on the development process and the technologies being employed
4. Speaks ‘business’ as well as they speak ‘tech’
5. Works through any bumps in the road with transparency and a strong bias towards win/win solutions

I found just such a partner in Tech9 and couldn't be happier with the end result.

What was the project name that you have worked with Tech9?

The Lashbrook Ring Builder Website

What service was provided as part of the project?

Software Development, E-commerce Development

Describe your project in brief

This was an outsourced custom software development project to help our company open up a new and more profitable revenue stream. Today, the website allows customers to design their own, custom ring--one of 10 billion combinations.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

I love how partnership oriented they were. We weren't just a project or a transaction. Their team was invested in our success.

Transparency and integrity. They were open about where we were and mistakes made. They owned mistakes when they happened.

They helped us improve the product by bringing new ideas to the table--not just build whatever we tell them to build.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Being new to our own new version of our business model, it wasn't clear at first what pieces of the puzzle they wouldn't cover.
