We VEM-Tooling examine our key performance metrics in the context of Zoho Analytics. We are presently using data from both Zoho and other sources. We use it once a month & compile all metrics to check the required progress of our agency. Zoho Analytics has enabled my team to construct metrics dashboards.

Pros :
  • In comparison to other data visualization tools, it is easier to use.
  • Provides further access to the existing Zoho Suite.
  • We can unify KPI reporting at no extra expense to our present Zoho One package.
Cons :
  • When compared to rivals, visualization possibilities are restricted.
  • ETL choices aren't as sophisticated as rivals' (Power BI for example).

Zoho was an easy-to-use application we implemented to track recruiting dates and other pertinent information. We would generate reports for unemployment data also as well as use this feature for leave tracking. This was extremely useful in pulling information for quarterly recruiting metrics. Our Operations team also used Zoho for specific reporting on their side of the company.

Lots of learning, lots of integrations, and lots of data

We use Zoho Analytics to create metrics dashboards for our team so they can have their numbers at a glance. The integrations and options are very expansive and there's a pretty steep learning curve in not only navigating the platform, but understanding Zoho's logic in how to set everything up. If you can figure it out, though, it's a wonderful tool.

It's hard to put a price on valuable insights that can improve a business bottom line. Hands down, Zoho Analytics has been priceless for us.

Born out of necessity, our company needed a tool to sync data in real-time and display the information in a customizable format that will be easy to interpret by various users. We have been using Zoho Analytics for close to 2 years and we still find new ways to leverage the tools and reporting. Sometimes we get stumped by the logic of what the requirement is that we want to achieve and in those cases, we call the customer support team who can usually answer the question over the phone or with a quick screen-sharing session. At times their team is busy assisting other clients so they are not always available when needed, but there are plenty of helpful resources within the software and online. We are customizing several reports, queries, dashboards, and data tables with the assistance of syncing the software with 3rd parties such as Zoho Projects, Zoho CRM, and Google Sheets. We use the data clean-up feature and Zia Insights to gain quick pieces of information that help management.

Pros :
  • Easy access to reports and dashboards by allowing it to be published to the web so end users don't need to sign into Analytics to get the data.
  • Simple drag and drop features create a simplified way of producing reports, charts, and dashboards that don't require coding skills.
  • Having the ability to drill down in the data at any point opens up new insights by viewing the underlying information.
  • Filtering and sorting the underlying data makes it very convenient to be able to export the data into Excel
  • Having slideshows of the reports gives more access as it can be shared on TV screens throughout the office
  • Scheduling automated reports to be sent via email is extremely helpful and another point of access to the data
  • Writing custom aggregate and formulas is possible and has great guides to insure accuracy.
  • Various widget options allow for easy to understand tracking to goals
Cons :
  • Unless manually executed the data refreshes automatically at a minimum of every 3 hours
  • While there are dozens of 3rd party applications that can be integrated, it would be great to have more!
  • There's isn't a trouble ticket management portal so having to follow up on customer service requests can be difficult without a ticket number
  • Customer service isn't always available in real time on the phone and can take a day or two to reply via email
