Flyte Solutions

We’d built a pipeline that manages all of our computer vision applications, and we initially engaged Flyte Solutions to take that pipeline and turn it into something that could run in the cloud. They built a web interface on top of it so that clients can log in, manage their renders and output, and preview data. The scope of their services was focused primarily on building a web application that could sit on top of and control all of the hard computer vision stuff that we do as a company internally. The web app is built on Python and Django, as well as React and Angular. We use Redis, and it all runs on AWS

Stage 1 in the project was the Discovery of our goals and needs. From those conversations, Flyte Solutions proposed a plan for the subsequent phases. Stage 2 (Design) involved the preparation of designs in cooperation with our team and a UI/UX specialist from Flyte Solutions. After a few iterations, Flyte Solutions presented a development plan based on the agreed upon design. Stage 3 (Development) was organized in bi-weekly sprints. After each sprint, we reviewed progress in joint interactive demo sessions. We provided feedback which was incorporated into the next interactions until we reached our desired MVP objectives and we satisfied with both the UI/UX and overall performance of the application. Their team worked with us from the beginning, and we developed some of the wireframes to kind of kick off the work and hand it over to them, but then they ran with the project from there. We considered them to be real collaborators as opposed to just telling them what to do. They did most of the design and the development themselves on Ionic for both iOS and Android, and then they handled the process of submissions to the app store and everything like that, as well as providing feedback on things like our privacy policy and some aspects of the user experience. One of the main features is an advanced chatbot that functions as a digital coach, which works in tandem with an aging algorithm that helps people envision themselves 20 years in the future to help motivate the desired behavioral change. They also built different health modules that the users could participate in through that chat function.

Flyte Solutions developed our web-based platform from scratch. The team included key functionality and features, including an end to end encrypted video conferencing, online calendar and booking systems, and online payment options

We worked together from the inception of the products. The MVP was entirely web-based—it’s a procurement-based platform. A company could put out an RFP for a particular service. Our team built the wireframes and the designs; Flyte Solutions focused on the development. They used Java, JavaScript, MySQL, PHP, and HTML5 in the process. Users submit a form in a standardized according to industry requirements. After this, an RFP is generated. Then other companies who all had profiles within the platform could then respond to those proposals. The company that created the RFPs would then select a company, which would then create an automatic contract that both parties would sign. That would create a project where they have payment milestones. Once an order was provisioned, completed, or sent over to the company, a payment notification would be triggered. We had a series of meetings to lay out exactly our goals/objectives, and the elements that were needed for the project. We provided the team with wireframes and access to our non-HIPAA compliant code. Within weeks, they had done a code inspection and provided details about how to improve the product by suggesting changes to the workflow and code. Towards the end of development, I asked to add a video conferencing features, and was provided with options and costs to do so. The app was ran through beta testing before launching and is now available on the app store.

Flyte Solutions is primarily developing a mobile and web app that involves a lot of third-party software integrations. Some of the features they’ve implemented are a student information system, robust chat functionality, video chat, and a task management system. The team is also including a news and events section that can be filtered by subscriptions, and single-click access to the school’s support staff.

Flyte Solutions built an iOS and Android mobile app. The team added functionality that allows users to document everything and not worry about writing long descriptions. The product also allows us to see people’s full day with pictures instead of having to just look at calories.

Flyte Solutions has met or exceeded the client’s expectations for most of their development sprints. Additionally, they’ve made highly valuable suggestions for the functionality of the web app. The professional team communicates via email and meets with the client weekly via Zoom

We began the project with a set of specifications and designs put together by our Product and design team. Working with the Flyte Solutions team, we crafted these into user stories that fit into the Kanban working style we wanted to work in. We defined some technology standards for the project (e.g. Java backend, React frontend, and Docker and Kubernetes for containerization) and the Flyte Solutions team proposed an architectural framework to build the application. The project was launched with daily standups and typical Kanban rituals attended by the Flyte Solutions team and our assigned product managers. Development, from the initial launch and through to ongoing refinement, is done using agile practices that aim to deliver incremental functionality quickly and often. All pull requests are code reviewed by our in-house development team that support the relationship.

Flyte Solutions developed a unique identifier system for nonprofit database coordination among our core organizations. They suggested and helped refine an architecture approach using AWS and a variety of technologies. They answered all of our technical questions as to how the system would work and ensured that the architecture supported our business workflows. Since developing the system, they’ve continued to maintain it.

They created multiple new screens for my app. Their first task was to program an item database screen that fetched images from a third-party API. Then they programmed an item details screen that fetched images and data about an in-game cosmetic item, related items, a community star rating, and other item details. Lastly, they reprogrammed and reskinned a news feed with my designs.

Creating beautifully-designed, high-converting event pages is our sweet spot. But development for these pages was complex and time consuming. We were getting burned out trying to do all of the work required to produce custom Splash pages on our own. The challenge was the we just weren’t able to focus enough on growing our company while we were doing it all ourselves. We initially hired one developer from flyte solution to take over the time-consuming development. They proved so instrumental to our growth that we quickly hired a second full time developer. Within a year we had scaled up to a 5-developer team, all from flyte solution

Initially, Flyte solution saw what I’d done and built it from scratch again. I’d done all the UX/UI design, which was all in Figma. They were able to see exactly what I was trying to do, so there was less for them to do in that sense. Since I hadn’t done this before, they guided me through every step of the way and helped me make the process work. The app is for iOS and Android. I think they’ve used Flutter for development. Flyte solution has taken the designs from Figma, and I could change anything from there. They’d translate the design and take the feedback to carry on.
