Evernote

I am a big believer in the Getting Things Done Productivity Model. Using Evernote to capture and organize all my thoughts has lead to me being a lot more productive. I really like how I can share and collaborate my notes as well as have a note book of thoughts I can reference for when Ihave time to think about them.

I started using Evernote years ago, accessed it from mobile, of course, plus multiple PCs. I loved it. It helped me out of so many jams because I had the info I needed at my finger tips. I hate to admit it but I didn't look for a replacement until the pricing model changed. Microsoft's OneNote was a "good enough" alternative for me to make the switch and it was free.

I used Evernote for three years as an executive - I found it extremely helpful in staying organized and on top of all my responsibilities. The ability to link to and travel quickly between notes was a crucial part of my flow. I was also easily able to share my notes with anyone, and setup shared notebooks with my team. The search feature is powerful, and let me quickly find notes from past meetings, project updates, and old task lists. It became an extension of my work brain, which was made even better by using the mobile app and web interface. While there are alternatives with similar features from other companies, Evernote is the solution that was laser focused on organizing information for quick access in a collaborative environment.

I was one of the very early adopters of Evernote. It has been very impressive to watch the evolution of the product yet still maintain its simplicity. Generally, I use it for note taking especially as ideas or things around me inspire me and need to be captured in more than a text format. I recommend Evernote; Evernote is for everyone.

I use Evernote every day in my business. I love the fact that it allows me to take notes on multiple devices and they stay in-sync with each other. My favorite feature of this app is the capability to search through all of your notes like a Google search. The OCR (ocular character recognition) even detects words in scanned-in handwritten notes. Evernote is pretty amazing.

This program is great to create notes and lists that can be shared by multiple users. You can use it on multiple platforms and add reminders as well.
