Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company.
As a CEO and co-founder at Konstant Infosolutions, I am responsible for making corporate decisions and I make sure that each of the employees working here is empowered with right resources, right team, encouraging them to build cutting-edge creations as and how the clients want.
What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors / outsourcing?
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
- First and foremost is our Project Management process. It is highly organized and well implemented at each phase.
- Second is that we are purely an in-house company with all teams and professionals working at one place. We don’t have to suffer time delays, mismanaged work and do not have to keep bugging to any outsource developers. The work never stops, which always help us adhere to our timelines and achieve our goals.
- We believe that communication is the key to any business and thus, we keep the clients updated about the project’s progress regularly on Skype calls, video calls, via emails.
On the whole, our main aim is to create everything customer-centric that offers a rich User Experience, and for all this, we need to involve our clients in the process for regular inputs and feedback on what we are working.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
- Identifying and analyzing project requirements
- Deciding the project flow and communicating to different teams-design, development
- UI and UX
- Custom requirements
- Complexity of the app
- Creating estimates
- Number of screens
- Third-party integrations
- Core development
- Number and type of devices it will need to run
- Operating system (Android and iOS)
- Iterative development and testing
- Deployment and Release
And there are many other factors depending upon the type of app a business owner wants to develop. Also, a blend of right focused objectives helps the company achieve the targets at right time. At Konstant, we are upfront with clients and mention the time estimates only after a comprehensive self-analysis and project analysis envisioning the risks and challenges that may occur during the project development. The Project manager separately discusses the project with each of the teams and individuals involved in a project before proposing any timelines.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile application?
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
Both technologies are excellent and in many of our projects, we have observed that the clients who come to us for getting an Android app built in the first place do visit us again for an iPhone app after two months or so.
Clearly, the market shares of both Android and iPhone are at its peak; only the first and second positions keep swapping, which means that having a mobile app for both operating systems is a major demand for every business in every industry.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
Being a business owner myself, I firmly believe that one should be at least prepared with a budget business plan, for that, it is important to consider- the size of your app project, app functionality and purpose, number of screens, mobile platform, device supported, points of integration, use of visual objects, phone hardware features to be used and a maintenance plan. However, most times, a project always has to break that Management Iron Triangle involving cost, time and scope (requirement) to maintain the quality of the product. To design something quickly and high standard, clients have to invest a little more. Also, there are many times that features and scope requirements change in between the product development, that is the time, the cost etc.
But no worries at all, with extensive experience in app development, Konstant Infosolutions has always met customer expectations understanding their budget constraints. In fact, the team suggests the right cost to be invested in order to gain a final app product that they always wished for.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients?
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement?
At the same time, if we find an app idea to be interesting (something we haven’t done ever before and can be a value addition to our portfolio) and we identify that little shift from our payments policies won’t disturb our expenses, we definitely move ahead by discussing the project with the client.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2015?
Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
We propose models that can help businesses monetize their app, which is the ultimate aim of developing a mobile app for every organization. In-app purchases, referral programs, social media integration, multi-channel catering, easy and quick payments supporting trending methods like PayPal, mobile wallets are a few to mention elements we use for increasing the app’s credibility.
