SEMrush is one of the key foundational tools of our business. It has allowed us to successfully plan our digital marketing plans and to monitor the outcome of our efforts with ease. When new items are introduced the user's manual gives detailed instructions as well as answering the important why question. Blogs and webinars give up-to-date live instructions and best practices from industry professionals. Without SEMrush we would feel lost with our SEO and SEM projects.

Professionally, one cannot go wrong with getting certified with SEMrush academy - all in all, in today's competitive digital market, if you're not using SEMrush - then you're losing big time!

Overall the best SEO tool to use in my opinion. From domain overview, keyword research, content development, and so many more great tools to use. I love being able to find new featured snippet opportunities with the tool as well.

Our agency uses SEMrush for keyword research, position tracking, site health audits, link building, etc. The only reason SEMrush doesn't get 5 stars, is because the data can be inaccurate, but all of these tools can be. You have to take some results, like organic traffic and paid traffic data from competitor websites, with a pinch of salt.

I've used SEMrush for 5 years or so and find it invaluable. SEMrush, for me, is one solution that handles everything - projects are easy to keep track of. Onpage factors and competitor analysis are very indepth on SEMrush - you can get a good overall picture of competitors. I think the competitor analysis is second to none. I find the position tracking in SEMrush to be very reliable, and the Keyword Magic tool is very useful when identifying keywords. In terms of pros and cons, I'd say: + Best for competitor research + I think best 'all-in-one' + Projects work well - you get a good overall picture of how a site is performing + Good analysis for technical SEO + Excellent keyword position tracking - Pricing - expensive to add users, projects, keywords - 5000 keywords is not a lot when going in-depth! - Sometimes traffic report inaccurate - tends to under-report estimated monthly traffic Overall, I love SEMrush, and couldn't do my job without it. Drill down reporting and export to Trello boards makes SEO project management a breeze - good backlink audit tools with graphical reporting on the different reputational factors that matter with backlinks. Easily manage, classify and even remove (disavow) from a single interface - customized reporting allows you to automate detailed reporting - content writing tool to optimize content with SEO validation tools and recommendations for better SEO content - reputation tracking for online brand references and reporting - social media management tools to track, report on, and publish to your social media accounts While no single tool does it all, Semrush does an excellent job in delivering the majority of functions that you need to manage SEO.
